The competition’s hassling him, his boss won’t meet with him, and the guy who wants his job is being a pain in the ass.
It’s enough to tucker a little Holocaust denier out.

Photo via our pal Michael Vidikan at the most excellent MEMRI blog, which is keeping tabs on all things terror, including the Saudis’ disdain for Nancy Pelosi.
If you haven’t yet, read Greg Tinti’s post about the media’s latest anti-Bush propaganda effort, which attempts to show that Iran doesn’t have much of a presence in Iraq and, to the extent that it does, isn’t really doing much harm. Our pal Olbermann, in particular, has seized on this meme as proof that the Bushitler is cooking up yet another phony pretext for yet another war on the poor innocents of the Middle East. Greg’s post focuses on new “evidence” from the ol’ reliables at the LA Times. But there’s a surprising conclusion — a rebuttal of the Times’s piece from a most unlikely source. Follow the link and enjoy.
Zal Khalilzad is promising to produce evidence of Iranian involvement in Iraq in the next few days, particularly as regards the five “diplomats” captured in the raid at Irbil last week. Debka says they know who one of those diplomats is, and that we done caught ourselves a very big fish.
Update: World Public Opinion has posted the results of their recent poll of Iranians and Americans on various issues. We’re surprisingly in sync on most things.
Most. Not all.

Update: With thanks to Gateway Pundit, here’s Mahdi sending his interviewer off to dreamland through the sheer tedium of his rhetoric.

Exactly what is he trying to cover up with that blanket?

Poor little feller. Too tired or too short to climb up on the bed?

Looks like even the Prez doesn’t get any special consideration when his flight gets cancelled.

Are there little blue duckies on his blankie?

He’s thinking:
“Dammit! The next time the Clinton’s come for a visit, we’ll check their trunk when they leave. You’d think a the furniture from their own White House would’ve been enough.”

Awwww! Cute little fella’. Probably tugs at Michelle’s heart-strings, since she’s not there to tuck-him-in at night. (NOT!)

Looks sorta like my dog when she curls up in the corner to nap after a long

Fairly clear to me now why the little guy is so rabid — he lost his pacifier. Lost his teddy bear, too. It’s okay though. Wesley Clark is going to talk with him in the morning and make it all better.

Man, I heard the Iranian economy was in the tank, but dang!

Did anyone else feel The World Public Opinion Poll results weren’t exactly ‘honest’? I’m not saying they fudged the results, but they wrote it up in a way that seemed less-than-honest to me.
They kept trying to play up the Americans and Iranians are so similar bit. One thing they pointed out was how many Iranians had a poor view of Osama bin Laden. That might make me feel better if the follow up question was, “Why don’t you like Osama bin Laden?”. I mean, it’s not exactly a shocker that Shiite-dominated Iran is not fond of the founder of a Sunni extremism group.
Then, in the section about terrorism, they pointed out that more Iranians than Americans (80% of Iranians, in fact) said it was NEVER alright to target civilian populations. Which might make you feel all warm and fuzzy, except, that 53% of the respondents say that Palestinian attacks against Israeli civilians are sometimes justified. So, it would appear that some of that 80% was not exactly being honest.

I figured the little guy slept in a crib.

I think he’s graduated to a toddler bed, but he probably falls out of it. Needs to get those toddler bed rails.

In Iran, termination of employment for guys who nod off while interviewing the president is likely fatal.
flipflop on January 25, 2007 at 6:51 PM
Is it just me, or does the interviewer have an Alec Baldwin thing going there? And what did that interviewer think? Was he at the SOTU address in the Congressional chamber sitting next to McCain or something!
Yup, taking your life in your hands to nod off on the Big Giant Head.
CrimsonFisted on January 25, 2007 at 7:11 PM
I think those are little embroidered emblems on his socks, not holes.
Bad Penny on January 25, 2007 at 7:22 PM
No, they’re holes. Jim Webb made them when he picked him up by his ankles and….
BacaDog on January 25, 2007 at 7:56 PM

Sleep tight.
Alden Pyle on January 26, 2007 at 10:53 AM
Imagine what that question would garner from Iraqis…
This picture is really creepy BTW. Really, really creepy. All fetal positiony. And the pillow case is freaky as well. All these Persian rugs and then this flowery, Walmart looking pillow case. Incongruence pisses me off.

Allah,
Was that an Updike reference?
Heh!
