I’d love to see him run for President. Hell, let’s all write him and let him know he should give it a shot.

I’m drafting a note this very minute.

He’s a solid citizen and a real conservative. After he lost the Senate election, many of us here were rooting for him to get the RNC post. Personally, I think the RNC made a big mistake by not picking Steele.

Wouldn’t President be a tough nut to crack for him at this stage in the game? Can’t remember seeing a poll indicating his name recognition, but outside of Maryland and us junkies, he’s probably not widely known. However, Billy Clinton was an unknown in 1992. So, it may be possible. Aside from President, he for sure would be a great pick for the VP slot on the ticket.

I’d love to see him run for President. Hell, let’s all write him and let him know he should give it a shot.

Anyway, I’m intrigued by this Steele for President idea, how do we go about making it happen?

Considering the early weak-ass-field-of-contenders, send e-mails to all of your GOP elected officials (house, senate, executive committee, local officials, etc.) and anyone who holds some political power with an “R” by their name.

Who knows how much traction it would ultimately get, but we have less than 22 months to float the idea out there.

Given the wishy/washy conservative convictions of the current GOP pool, I’d vote for Steele in a second.

Republicans have lost the ability to communicate. When it comes to race/class issues there is too much confusion by the “rodeo clown” Democrats. When will a Republican call the Liberals and Democrats the real racists?

It will take black folks talking “inside baseball” to remove the mystery. Our friend Michelle Malkin has a book on the subject that illustrates the Liberal’s sickness.

Deep down the Democrats and Liberals despise minorities, the poor, the diseased – because they illustrate Liberal incompetence, but they love those votes!

Republicans are such honest to goodness GOOD people they are paralyzed by the accusation. Liberals like to see that dear in the headlight look.

Being a black conservative Republican, I do admit it is guilty fun calling Libs on their crap. Let’s hope Steele can teach the rest of you how to wield this mighty sword.

The party is going to need a lot of it as well as it prepares to embark for the wilderness for another 40 years..

I’d like to see him addressed as President Steele on January 20, 2009.

And before anyone points to experience, consider this, both Bush and Clinton were governors, and the left is salivating over Obama who is bearly finishing his second year as a Senator. If vast experience doesn’t matter with them, why should it matter with Steele?
