With Rudy being very left on many social issues, but very right on many others, we reps have to pick our poison and live with it. The worse thing that could happen would be a third party candidtae that panders to the base and bleeds off votes for the only rep candidate that has a chance which leaves us with a dem president that is more left than right.

You got it right all the way, except for one small thing –

Given that EVERY SINGLE THING that Rumsfeld “wargamed” about both the invasion and aftermath turned out to be WRONG, it seems apparent that Rumsfeld is one of the worst D.S’s in history. And you can’t hide behind the dodge that , “oh, hindsight’s twenty twenty”, there was plenty of OPPOSITION to Rumsfelds “SMALLER, SLEEKER FIGHTING FORCE” , before the war began, to ingnore that would be lying by omission like the liberals do. There were people around who said there’d be looting, Rumsfeld didn’t think so. There were generals around before the war that said we needed a LARGER FIGHTING FORCE TO INVADE AND OCCUPY A COUNTRY, General Shinseki (sic) comes to mind, again, Rumsfeld didn’t think so. There were people who thought that the only thing keeping Iraq from CIVIL WAR all these years was the brutality of Saddam and that once that obstacle was removed, the place would devolve into CIVIL WAR, well guess what? It has! There were people who said that the new Iraqi leader was too close to Al Sadr and that having the Iraqis declare Muqtada’s peeps off limits to American Military action, was a non starter, Rumsfeld and Bush gave the guy a vote of confidence and recently White House weasel Tony Snow refused to call Muqtada Al Sadr an enemy of the United States. For once in her misbegotten, perverted, hell bound life, Rosie finally got it right, BUSH SHOULD BE IMPEACHED, but unfortunately STUPIDITY is neither a high crime nor a misdemeanor.

I don’t actually think so, I think his age will ultimately be an issue, but I have been shocked lately at election results. Will the conservatives vote for Tancredo? Will he be gone by the primary? Will conservative just stay home on primary day(s) because they are so disgusted with the RINOs, and with Bush’s second term?

It’s so far away, and this election cycle promises to be the most annoying, overhyped, overexposed campaign in history. People are going to get real sick of election coverage.

So: Just bite me McCain.
