Dick Durbin to liveblog SOTU at Daily Kos?

So said Fox News about an hour ago. There’s no confirmation yet at his Senate site or dKos, but it’s not unlikely: he made an obsequious appeal to the Kossacks two weeks ago to help him set the Senate’s agenda. And just as I’m typing those words, Fox breaks in to say that a small helicopter belonging to a private contractor — or “mercenary,” in Kos-speak — has been shot down over Baghdad.

So won’t the mood be festive over there tonight.

Durbin’s not the only prominent Democrat looking to woo the most disgusting elements of the left this evening. Olbermann’s producers just sent around an e-mail announcing that Krazy Keith will be chatting with Hillary Clinton before the speech. Let’s hope Olby, serious journalist that he is, treats her to the same tough, uncompromising questions he posed to her husband back in September. FYI, the “sandbagging” to which he refers was Chris Wallace asking Clinton if he should have done more to stop the guy who knocked down the World Trade Center.

We’re on the same wavelength, AP. I once publicly described Keefyboy’s schtick as “the world’s worst Edward R. Murrow impression,” and even my liberal friend laughed.

I don’t know who’s the bigger Dick head

I heard this on FNC earlier too. I don’t have a problem with the action, I have a problem with the general public not being aware of who (the extreme left) runs the party they just put in to office. Can you imagine the controversy if Cheney came over and guestblogged at MichelleMalkin.com or here at HA, or cowrote a column with Coulter? They would dig every out of context statement from these places and demand Tony Snow get statements of apology from everyone in the administration.

I can hear it now: “Tony, Michelle Malkin wants to put Muslims in internment camps, will Vice President Cheney condemn that stance and apologize for guestblogging at her site?”

We could give this kind of bs back times 10, however we don’t weild the power that the MSM does. Instead the right is reserved to quietly appreciating support, while elected Democrats have America hating parties with the worst of the worst.

Dick Turbin wouldn’t know a computer if you hit him over his tin foil covered head with one. As far as live blogging he thinks penicillin can cure that. What is even more pathetic is that none of the fish rags printed in this country or network news will give an accurate description of what kind of site Kos runs or the lunacy of those who reside there.

I like the sly little shot that Mark Levin takes at Durbin by what he calls him. You people know what it is.

Or appeared on the Rush Limbaugh show?

What? Oh never mind….

“appeared on the Rush Limbaugh show”

OOOOooooooooooo!!!! That’s scary!!!

When are the libs (honora) going to stop beating this dead horse? (someone call PETA) Limbaugh’s been on for about 18 years, is not new nor is he controversial. I disagree with him about 1/3 of the time for not being a Conservative but a Republican shill. He is certainly no tin foil hat fringe right winger.

Durbin wants to “liveblog” on DKOS?

YAWN!

As Durbin is up for election in 2008, and if *MOI* was the guy in charge of the IL Republican Senate Campaign committee, I’d be archiving his words for later feed back in campaign commercials against him. And when the time came, I’d be brutal about telling the voters of Illinois exactly what he believes and stands for, using is own words.

If the Republicans do NOT remind the voters that Durbin called the troops Nazi death camp guards, Gulag guards, and associates of Pol Pot, loudly and often, they deserve to lose the election.

It is not “negative campaigning” to remind the voters what a person actually stands for.

He’s just getting in his last dig before the ‘Fairness Doctrine’ goes in to affect. Then the MSM can keep screaming their liberal propaganda and all conservative messages will be quieted for good. Aahhh… the future of America… so bright I gotta wear shades.

Griz on January 23, 2007 at 3:53 PM

Well, I guess his mother didn’t teach him that if you’re listening to a speech by someone it’s rude to be doing something other than sitting there quietly. I find this in poor taste but the dims and the libs really have no manners anyway.
Georgej. I agree 1000%. The Republicans are NOT getting the message out. I remember when Turbin said that & I called the next day (as a matter of fact it was busy until about 1715 EST) when finally someone answered. They were very curt and short. I just said as a veteran and the wife of a deployed Soldier, I did not appreciate the Senator’s statement and they guy said something like “so, you want on some list or something?” and hung up. I have relatives living in IL and the ones in the southern part of the state hate the relatives in the Chicago area for continuing to put this clown back in office every 6 years.

No surprise finding a rat (Durbin) in a sewer (dKos).

(My apologies to rats. And sewers.)

I think if we (conservatives) didn’t focus so much on this idiot MSNBC would see his ratings cut by two-thirds. Honestly, I think they (the lefty brass over there)feed on the fact that he drives conservative blogs nuts. The lefties all get their “news” from the Comedy Channel not him. Unfortunately it’s a fact. I know living in the bluest of all states…. Blue Jersey.
