The band is No More Kings. The writer/director of the video? None other than William “Johnny” Zabka, reprising his greatest role. It takes a while to get where it’s going, but stick with it. If only for the cameos.
Nice to see the alpha male win this time. The natural order, at last restored.

It might be your browser. Try it with a different one.

Wherever it “got to,” when it arrived, I wasn’t there. Refund?
Scotsman on January 22, 2007 at 11:19 PM
Karate Kid meets T-2 meets Raising Arizona.
“Give me back my career you terminator from hell” is the best I can come up with.
F15Mech on January 22, 2007 at 11:20 PM
Got it. Awesome.
bbz123 on January 22, 2007 at 11:22 PM
Good stuff. lol
EnochCain on January 22, 2007 at 11:22 PM
With a touch of Ocasek Bug style.
bbz123 on January 22, 2007 at 11:22 PM
NMK’s are BMF’s took my wax Off!
sonnyspats1 on January 22, 2007 at 11:29 PM
That is hysterical.
Some people have aged better than others.
aunursa on January 22, 2007 at 11:32 PM
What does Markos Moulitsas driving up in the red convertible have to do with anything?
BJ* on January 22, 2007 at 11:39 PM
That was fun. Surreal, but fun.
mikeyboss on January 22, 2007 at 11:48 PM
That was good! Kept thinking, where’s Ralph Macchio? And then bam! haha. funny stuff.
Scot on January 22, 2007 at 11:50 PM
And I thought his greatest role was the preppie frat boy in Back to School. Great video. Song’s not bad either.
shooten on January 22, 2007 at 11:55 PM
How does he do this to us? Us! It’s some kind of weird mind control…
Jaibones on January 22, 2007 at 11:58 PM
The ironic thing, the lead singer of NMK’s name is Pete Mitchell. I am surprised no Top Gun shots were in the video.
(at least I did not see any)
F15Mech on January 23, 2007 at 12:31 AM
Excellent link. After 20 years of Johnny seeing his ass get kicked on repeats, I bet he did this video for free.
dingoatemebaby on January 23, 2007 at 12:48 AM
Kick his a$$, Johnny!! Yeah.
Rick on January 23, 2007 at 1:07 AM
LOL too good – Thanks!
Bradky on January 23, 2007 at 1:16 AM
Bill Zabka always had to play alpha male jerks…poor guy. At least he got to play something different on The Equalizer.
Spassvogel on January 23, 2007 at 1:24 AM
Good video, execrable song. Now, imagine that video with this band…
jic on January 23, 2007 at 1:28 AM
The body bad line was awesome… It’s funny how some scenes and even little throw-away lines like that are so memorable.
DaveS on January 23, 2007 at 1:33 AM
I loved it.
georgej on January 23, 2007 at 1:43 AM
Astonishing.
Awesomely astonishing.
EFG on January 23, 2007 at 1:59 AM
So much sweet 80’s goodness in one place…..I’m gettin’ chocked up!
TBinSTL on January 23, 2007 at 1:59 AM
nitpick
As much as I loved the firebird (back then).
The red firebird should have been an IROC if I remember my sports car wannabees back in the 80’s.
F15Mech on January 23, 2007 at 2:20 AM
Thankyou Spassvogel, I was trying to remember the one role, that I remember, where he played a good guy. He was either the Equalizers’ son or nephew. My money is on son.
dingoatemebaby on January 23, 2007 at 2:26 AM
Counter-nitpick
The red ‘firebird’ at the end of the shot looked like a Camaro, circa 1984 (15″ wheels); The IROC varient didn’t come out until next year. There is a Firebird in the clip, but it’s parked next to the trailer/caravan and looked like a ‘78 version anyway.
..Hang on, the ‘alpha male’ is the bum who sits on his arse watching Karate Kid every day for 20 years?
Song wasn’t too bad either; dangerously close to being ‘corporate rock’ at points, and the guitar ’solo’ was novel, although that’s probably due to it being overly processed than anything else. I’d like to be proven wrong by seeing it live, though.
Minus several billion points, however for the content-delivery system forcing me to redownload the entire video each time I want to watch it, regardless of whether I’ve even closed the browser or not. I thought those awful days of Realplayer and ’streaming media’ were past us..

Anyone else notice Mr. Belding? Or am I too young for this group?
Esthier on January 23, 2007 at 8:52 AM
That was the best thing I’ve seen in a long time. Two of my favorite movies…
serpentineshel on January 23, 2007 at 8:53 AM
And I did notice Mr. Belding..although he has put on some weight.
serpentineshel on January 23, 2007 at 8:54 AM
Damn it, I wanted to hear Tommy’s insane laugh after “Get em’ a bodybag! Yea!”
jugger on January 23, 2007 at 9:16 AM
Wow…brilliant stuff!
Verbal Abuse on January 23, 2007 at 9:37 AM
WOW, that’s got to be the best video I’ve seen in a long time.
Somehow that’s how I pictured that guy these days. HA-HA
Great stuff!
How did Ralphie boy get more roles that this guy?
jdsmith0021 on January 23, 2007 at 9:42 AM
That looks like a 78 Firebird next to the trailer and a 71 Impala convertible at the end….the maroon car in front of the apt building is a camero.
csdeven on January 23, 2007 at 10:06 AM
heh heh – thanks for the trip down memory lane…
aahhhh, Elisabeth Shue as Ali the girlfriend – yum
Coastian on January 23, 2007 at 10:16 AM

She was hawtness as the girlfriend in Back to the Future as well. There is no greater 80’s movie girlfriend. ;)
CorinthianJest on January 23, 2007 at 10:52 AM
It’s “Macchiomania”!
JetBoy on January 23, 2007 at 10:55 AM
I’ll take dead careers and hanging onto the past for $200, Alex.
(The police post was for $100 – last week! :) ).
Great song though. I actually enjoyed that. Probably cuz it brings back the best decade EVER – the 80’s.
lorien1973 on January 23, 2007 at 11:04 AM
The only thing sadly missing is Pat Norita.
allie on January 23, 2007 at 11:29 AM
That was genius.
gradyman on January 23, 2007 at 11:41 AM
If you’re an 80’s nut and a fan of cheeseball movies, that was truly a stirring tribute to a much underappreciated film. Best video I’ve seen in years. Made my day. Cheers.
austinnelly on January 23, 2007 at 12:50 PM
Sounds like Double Jeopardy.
Ah, Martin Kove and Billy Zabka, the ultimate in B Movie entertainment!
kiakjones on January 23, 2007 at 1:03 PM
No, Sensei!
Bill Zabka had a one-shot as the extorsionist boyfriend on “Gimme A Break” once. He was Sam’s boyfriend and he was trying to get hundreds of dollars out of her so “they could be together.” Heh.
Nell gave Johnny a piece of her mind. The 80’s.
Black Adam on January 23, 2007 at 2:03 PM
Very entertaining… and yes, I’ll file in with the folks that lament the fact that Zabka didn’t have enough good guy roles. But my fave of his roles was in JUST ONE OF THE GUYS. (as if it was different than all the others…lol.)
Great song, btw.
