This is the second one CBS has rejected. GoDaddy hasn’t posted the first one yet, although you can get a glimpse of it in this segment from Hannity & Colmes in which our old friend Kirsten Powers, sitting in for Alan, had to suffer the indignity of interviewing the GD smut czar and his inflatable doll, who’s not exactly aging “well.”
Here’s the spot. It’s really stupid, even by my standards.

Idiots.
Attila (Pillage Idiot) on January 22, 2007 at 1:25 PM
That is the idiot IT guy from the CDW commercials. Glad he has settled on such an appealing persona as an actor. Make the bucks while you can…
Mallard T. Drake on January 22, 2007 at 1:27 PM
Huh. Not sure I would consider irritating, poorly-written commercials my first choice for a promotional strategy.

Dude, I know… she was gross. I didn’t believe it was the same chick at first.
RightWinged on January 22, 2007 at 1:48 PM
Think about it-they wanted to show you how FUN it is to buy domain names. Yeah, all the cool kids are doing it. Fat guy needs a shave.

Didn’t GoDaddy run a tasteless ad during last year’s SuperBowl? I kinda recall…
BillLalor on January 22, 2007 at 2:52 PM
Yeah, same schtick every year. Do an ad they know will get rejected and reap lots of free publicity. Boring. But if you think the GoDaddy girl looks bad, then you obviously have gone blind from spankin’ it to her pictures.

The GoDaddy commercials are pretty bad… Good in a bad way… anyway…
Speaking of Kirsten Powers,
I wonder if Hannity chould just get rid of Colmes and get Powers to take his place permanently. That would be a show to watch.
I hate Allan trying to talk out both sides of his mouth all the time, and making a goof of himself. Kirsten, on the other hand, knows when to put up a logical argument and when to just let the nutty-leftist stuff alone.
Lawrence on January 22, 2007 at 3:27 PM
One of these days KP is going to switch sides if the left keeps going loony. She has a harder and harder time defending the left. She is much more logical thinking than other demo pundits or maybe she just isn’t the type to be disingenuine in her arguments like many are. I swear some of those people argue just to argue even though to their mom they’d never say they believed what they themselves said.
The commercials of godaddy remind me of quiznos commercials before that chain got bought out. Their first few commercials featured rats singing a dumb song as they were touching the food. When I first saw it I thought to myself, I will NEVER eat there just because of that commercial. Who wants to have an image of rats touching your food?
To this day, never ventured into quiznos and won’t.
Highrise on January 22, 2007 at 6:28 PM
Lawrence,
Plus Allen is hard to look at. Every time he comes on I swear he looks like death warmed over..he’s so pale and his eyes sunken. It hurts to look at him. Atleast KP and bob beckel don’t hurt the eyes.
Highrise on January 22, 2007 at 6:29 PM
Those rats ruled. I don’t know what you are talking about. They don’t taste too good, but the commercials were great.

Plus, Quiznos is tastier than Subway by a factor of at least 2, maybe 3.
Must be the rats.
Christoph on January 22, 2007 at 9:37 PM
Oh God, the Quiznos rat ads….They looked like road kill. I know me and my family stopped eating there because you just couldn’t look at the food without thinking “road kill”. Even today, if I drive by a Quiznos, I throw up a little bit in my mouth. Worst advertising idea ever.

Yep..that was stupid.
