This reminds me of the Reagan story as told by Peggy Noonan. He was hosting a Venezuelan delegation one evening and he had Sinatra line up the entertainment. Sinatra had Robert Goulet sing a few songs and asked him to jazz it up a little. So Goulet did and it went over like a turd in the punch-bowl. Goulet realized this also and went into a story of meeting a beautiful girl in Vegas one night after a show. They went out and had a good time, it was only later on that some folks told him he’d been out with the most famous cross-dresser in Vegas. Now everyone is silent and stunned. Finally as the evening draws to a close, Reagan stands to thank everyone. He gets around to Goulet and says, thank you Bob, not only for your great voice but also for remembering our night together in Vegas…..

Now that’s funny right there, I don’t care who you are….
