Mystery solved: Hillary’s presidential announcement was recorded on…

posted at 1:25 pm on January 22, 2007 by Allahpundit

…January 17th, i.e., last Wednesday, not weeks or months ago notwithstanding the flora through the window. It was a nice try, though, Mark.

There are photos of her at the Wednesday presser on the wires as we speak. An easy nut to crack in hindsight, yet we all missed it. We’ve lost our mojo.

Hilary Clinton must have a clone army.

It’s the only rational explaination.

Ringmaster on January 22, 2007 at 1:32 PM

Fake but accurate. Too good not to be true. Oh, well.

bdfaith on January 22, 2007 at 1:41 PM

Chalk it up to global warming, folks. You wouldn’t believe how many trees in DC are still leaved. There’s plenty of green bushes on Whitehaven Dr.

I live in the Washington metro area. There are no deciduous trees with leaves still on them. The bushes in the background look like they could be evergreens, but there is no way that the trees could still be green, and they don’t look like evergreens.

Of course, Hillary could have simply have worn the same outfit she recorded the announcement if she recorded it in summer.

januarius on January 22, 2007 at 1:42 PM

I believe this probably was done the same day.. however I hardly call this a smoking gun to prove it… Castro played catch with Jimmy Carter in 2002 in the same Adidas gear we saw him rocking while holding up newspapers to prove he was still alive last year.

RightWinged on January 22, 2007 at 1:46 PM

This seems to narrow it down to a Tuesday or a Wednesday.

a4g on January 22, 2007 at 1:48 PM

I don’t get the big deal anyways. Republicans and Democrats both do the same run around when asked about running for Pres, so let’s not as if this is a partisan situation. Anyways, stuff like this makes us look like the kooky left, let’s stop giving them fodder.

Ian on January 22, 2007 at 1:53 PM

No conspiracy too small I guess…..

honora on January 22, 2007 at 1:55 PM

I figured it might be a Hollywood background, just for window dressing. HAHAHAHAHA. I crack myself up.

Now, back to the presidential photoshops, REAL images.

CrimsonFisted on January 22, 2007 at 1:59 PM

honora on January 22, 2007 at 1:55 PM

You should look up the word conspiracy. Even if this message was pre-recorded, it still isn’t a conspiracy. It’s not even a big deal. It only confirms to all of us what we know anyway, that Hillary’s been planning this thing for a long time.

And I agree with RightWinged. This is hardly a smoking gun. Are we really supposed to believe that she shreds her clothes after wearing them once?

Again, though the greenery is suspicous, I’m willing to believe her just because it’s not a big enough deal to worry over anyway. Maybe those are fake trees. Maybe it’s a fake background. Everything seems real in comparison to Billary anyway.

Esthier on January 22, 2007 at 2:02 PM

YAWN

such a non issue

Defector01 on January 22, 2007 at 2:18 PM

The trees died under suspicious circumstances before we had a chance to ask them any questions.

Yep, the Clintons are back…

jaleach on January 22, 2007 at 2:20 PM

Everyone is assuming there was only one announcement taped. She may have been taping announcements for years.

I believe the about the only thing this woman is interested in is Power, and she is obsessed with it. If she is elected, (shudder), she will reveal her imperious nature. If she can be annointed queen she would pursue it in a flash.

omegaram on January 22, 2007 at 2:25 PM

Whether she taped it 4 years ago or last week, it doesn’t matter. We all knew it was coming sooner or later.

Rick on January 22, 2007 at 2:30 PM

I’m right here.

Possibly you meant “We’ve lost our Big Kabloona”…

Agreed.

honora on January 22, 2007 at 1:55 PM

Sigh. Fodder for Honora. What next?

Who cares when she filmed the announcement or whether the plants were real or fake? Her team wouldn’t be worth their salt if they didn’t have something prepared and sitting on the shelf, just in case.

Bottom line is, “she’s in, to win”. This certainly won’t be the last time we see a slick, prime-time quality monologue from her. It’s a long time ’till November 4th, 2008.

BacaDog on January 22, 2007 at 2:41 PM

Is there anyone in fu**in country who didn’t know I was running for President?

blogRot on January 22, 2007 at 2:44 PM

I agree with Ian, that this only stands to make us appear like the Kooky left (if we buy in to some conspiracy theory here). To reitterate, I agree that there was no conspiracy here… I just don’t think the outfit should be considered a smoking gun to prove it, which is why I mentioned the Castro outfit comparison.

RightWinged on January 22, 2007 at 3:13 PM

She’s in… to spin.

ricer1 on January 22, 2007 at 3:50 PM

Who cares when it was recorded, the right was calling her running in ’08 during Bubba’s 2nd term.

Why does the news keep calling this a “now historical race for President”? (or is that only happening in my area?)

She’s not the first woman to run for POTUS.

She is the first former first lady to run for POTUS, that’s true, but, how is that historic (or are we that short on truly historical goings on these days)?

She is the first woman with a reasonably good chance to win.

does this mean i’m a sexist if I don’t vote for her?

honora on January 22, 2007 at 4:23 PM

I have two replies to this.

1) Oh hell no!

2) Considering that your comrades are the only ones who were fooled by her ‘move to the center’, I would say there’s a decent chance that she won’t make it past the primary. The problem is, everytime I say that, I remember that Obama is just a bait and switch.

Wolfman on January 22, 2007 at 5:13 PM

I wonder when they’ll cut the crap and have Edwards join her? Everyone knows he’s going to, right?

johnnyU on January 22, 2007 at 5:35 PM

If Jeb Bush would decide to enter the race, the leftie/anti-monarchy crowd would go ballistic, for good reason.

Here, nary a peep.

For the record, I am against all monarchies.

HA. Even my democrat friends laugh at her chances to take over as President. Although she does give some interesting headlines with all that baggage and all.

Smoke and mirrors.

Alas, smoke and ash.

is it just me or does hillary kind of look ‘hot’ in that photo that is a part of this link…? dear god, will someone poke my eyes out with a dull rusty knife, PLEASE!!!

Asmodeus on January 22, 2007 at 7:58 PM

Who cares!?!? She decided to run when she was five. She admitted it on Hardball

She hired Playboy’s airbrush artist….

Is it me, or does she look like Kim Il Jung as a blonde?

(Asmodeus, better look into that…)

profitsbeard on January 22, 2007 at 9:50 PM

It’d look like a drapery catalogue shot if it wasn’t for the woman sitting there in front of the fake window greenary. Come on! Green at the window looks nicer than scratchy grey twigs. No brainer.
Now, about using the word “dialogue” when she means “monologue” or perhaps “harangue.”

It was a nice try, though, Mark.

Being utterly, utterly and completely wrong passes for “nice try” these days?

Defector01 on January 22, 2007 at 4:52 PM

No. You’re sexist if you wouldn’t vote for any woman or be less likely to vote a woman because she’s a woman.

(Sorry I know that the RW like nothing better than to be victims of political correctness. Better luck next time.)

Don’t you hate when politicians change their stances for expediency. Must be nice to be part of the political party that is so pure.

So how about that Mitt Romney?

honora on January 23, 2007 at 10:11 AM

Sorry I know that the RW like nothing better than to be victims

They love to play the victim, don’t they?

Probably why it’s so easy to convince them that they’ll be one unless they do what they’re told.
