Did anyone catch that segment on H&C the other night? Folks, the Democrats want to shut down conservative talk radio because it doesn’t present “both sides”. You’d be shocked at how openly disgraceful the position of the Dems (or at least the one they had on) is. Hannity isn’t the greatest but he made the guy look like an ass, and if I recall even Colmes couldn’t stick with his own side on this one (probably because he’s a liberal talk radio host, and it would have to affect him too, even though it’s clearly aimed at conservatives who dominate talk radio). The guest (some Democrat congressman or something, I can’t remember his name and he was one of those smug little openly “Big brother knows best” a-holes who you just want to punch in the face) said that he believes that the major TV networks are generally fair and balanced… Hannity made the point that he thinks they’re left wing, so who gets to decide what’s fair? This went ’round and ’round, and this guy never could even attempt to answer that question. We’re a ways off, but rest assured if these Dems can maintain power for a lengthy period of time, they want to control the broadcast media.

That smug bastard couldn’t even say what was in the 1st Amendment when Sean asked him. Not that he cares–freedom of speech to him is whatever our Socialist masters allow us to say. It’s always amazing to me how the same people who claim they want “all voices to be heard” are the first ones to try to stifle all dissent. It’s the “Model A Ford” type of free speech–just as you could have any color car you wanted as long as it was black, you’re allowed to have any opinion you want as long as it’s liberal.

I’m really digging these new “Let’s call a spade a spade” promos from FOX, though. If they’re going to constantly get accused by leftists of having a right-wing bias, why not force everybody to put their ideological cards on the table. A slight tilt right-of-center is still way more balanced than the far-leftward slant of every other news organization.

It seems that I may have insulted the Queen by daring to point out that little Dougie was out of touch with a major story that he reported on. How can you defend his laughing and stating that he didn’t even know what the question in question meant? You can’t, which is why you didn’t try.

That question should have been the crux of the report. The heart of the matter is that the “Flying Imams” et al here in the US are Islamo-fascists and are going to use everything that they can against us, including things like the cabbie issue in Chicago. If they gain an inch there in that matter, it will become precedent that turns into miles of Sharia law throughout this country.

Somehow, he (Doug Kennedy) put together a great report on the subject, then as soon as they go off script he exposes a level of ignorance that is astounding. This issue is part and parcel of the biggest issue in the world today. England, France, Australia, to mention a few are all dealing with this problem. It is a different type of invasion and attempt at takeover, and Dougie can’t even understand the question. Pitiful. And Fox should call him on it.

Look, I know that MM’s Hot Air board is pro Fox. So what? Does that mean that you can’t acknowledge a major mistake by a Fox reporter? Sucks to be you… Why? Because he did some great reporting yesterday. By that logic Carter gets a pass too. He built a few good houses you know. He’s still a freakin waste of time when he speaks. As for FOX – what a long-overdue bitch-slapping for the alphabet networks. For anyone (like ralphyboy) who doesn’t understand that this IS a PR world, now more than ever in this information age, FOX is firing a shot heard ’round the world.

What FOX is doing is shrewd, effective, and may make more difference long-run than we might realize. They’re basically calling the bluff of every news organization that claims to be “objective” and forcing their hands. Sort of like, “You’re either with us, or you’re with the terrorists.” I love it. FOX should hear from everyone about how you feel about it.
