Who cares if they lay low, hide out or slink away, just as long as they’re gone. Once they’re gone, the Iraqi Police and the Iraqi Army can stop hiding behind our armor get on the streets. Once they are there, the people will realize that The Army and Police aren’t that bad. Then, when the militias come back, the people will have to choose whether they want stability or do they want death squads. You have to have faith that they will turn their backs on the drilling-holes-in-people crowd IF they have a chance.

I think Iran threaten Iraq over the consular thing. If you notice the US also raided the Sudanese embassy receintly also and got warned by the new government over that.

It seems that the want to stay on the good side of nations. But I think many of even the Shiia see Sadr as an ultimate threat to their own survival.

I think Sadr is on the verge of being thrown to the wolves.
