Can some of these contestents really not know how bad they are? Is that amount of self delusion possible?

I especially like the delusional gay guys who cry when they aren’t picked. But you’d expect gays to be delusional…they seriously believe having someone shove their %&!@&# up their #*%$#’s is an “expression of love”!

I question the timing. I think Paula sandbagged it to boost ratings by creating buzz right before the opener. And if not… who cares? I’m ok with a drunk bimbo…it’s only a dopey tv show, and she’s still eye candy.

My tween sees right through the schtick, asked if the talentless contestants were just paid actors who are there for the comedic effect.

Rosie is a big obnoxious hypocrite. She slams Trump over his looks, and publicly supports an obvious drunken or DRUGGED Danny Devito, while daring to complain about Simon’s comments about the contestant’s looks and Paula’s behavior.

So, AP, Rosie is NOT “right” to criticize Simon and Paula, considering her own behavior.

I remember thinking after watching some poor guy singing a Madonna song in the first season prelims that his friends did him a grave disservice by not letting him know how bad he was… I guess they didn’t want to hurt his feeling; he was so shocked when he was told how bad he was…That is a clear failure of the liberal ideology. I had to throw in a jab somewhere didn’t I?

Best part today…when Rosie butted in on Joy’s bashing of O’Reilly…Rosie tried to say that Bill didn’t like the kidnapped kids parent because of a piercing, and Joy..in her nicest New York snap said “what’s that got to do with anything”….

Pam, I agree. One day this week, I can’t remember the stupid subject Rosie hung on to, but after about 5 minutes of it, Joy just threw her hands up and said “I don’t give a damn about this subject” (or something like that). I think it’s all going to be over before too long. Rosie may bring ratings, but they’re Jerry-Springer style, and those never last.

You know.. this season has been the shittiest I have seen yet (American Idol). This may just be the last season of this show.

Again, the two BIGGEST nights of prime-time EVER on Fox.

Also, in my defense, I spent the last 4 years in SoCal near Venice Beach and the 4 years before that in NY’s East Village – It’s entirely possible that my freak-meter has been permanently skewed by those experiences.

Lol. Could be. But seriously, it’s just because you didn’t see the full clip… they didn’t show the performance, they didn’t show all the “backstage” stuff, etc. This kid was like a mascot for the entire show practically.

You’d have to have seen the show JadeNYU. They made him (via the magic of television) become “best friends” with some hugely fat and borderline retarded kid that he met in line. It was, sadly (and I don’t do this to mock), like peeking in the door of the Special Education room in high school. They had them doing handshakes, arms around eachother, walking off down the street together, etc. etc. I’m actually starting to think they actually paid these guys.

I can see how in that context, he might have started to seem a lot more goofy.
