OMG Colbert is an absolute riot! I love O’Reilly, but I’m sure he would be the first to admit that he’s no comedian. I live overseas and unfortunately don’t get much exposure to Colbert, but I get The Factor on Fox.

This was good clean fun. Colbert did a great job of poking fun and O’Reilly did a great job as straight man. I think these guys are probably pretty good friends, or certainly could be.

Anyone that reads too much into this exchange just doesn’t get it. They’re just having fun, there’s animosity between these two class acts.

I think they were both playing to their audiences. They provided entertainment.

Co-”bert” was a frighted B1TCH. He used comedy to deflect every question.

Colbert using comedy? Odd for a “comedian” whose show is on “comedy” central.

I have to say i was surprised at how benign the encounters were, when stewart and O’Reilly met their mutual disdain was much more evident…nevertheless, both delivered good lines, and you do have to hand it to O’reiily for appearing on the show, its not exactly a friendly environment. He was a good sport.

Do you people not understand the Irish sense of humor? I’m married to an Irishman, and O’Reilly exhibited the classic droll wit that I’ve come to know so well. I thought he comported himself quite well, and found his comebacks while on SC’s show quite humorous. Colbert tries to channel Robin Williams, but his lack of restraint and obvious disdain for O’R gets in the way.

Did anyone else notice that it was the first time I have seen Colbert introduce a guest who was not sitting at the table? Colbert always runs out to the interview table like the applause was for him.

I mean, that’s one of those funny things he does. But here he let Bill come out to the applause.

Hmmm…wonder if Bill insisted on that.

I watched SC on BOR last night, and I thought it was boring. SC seemed to try to play it so straight, it was awkward. The sad part is that there are people who actually watch SC (I do not) for their news, along with jon stewart. Not that I watch BOR for mine, but at least he crusades for some correct things. When was the last time you heard the MSM calling for Jessica’s law?

I wonder if O’Reilly caught the ‘the man is a sexual predator, you have no idea what that’s like’ insult before they sat down. It sounds like some people in the audience understood it. Kind of a cheap shot even if it is true. Falafel… LOL

For the record, I think John Stewart is a jackass. I can’t believe how many people I run into that think his show is news. Of course, it’s not far off from regular MSM.

Okay, O’Rielly hosting Colbert was a little on the dry side (and I usually LIKE dry. Go figure) but I laughed myself silly watching the reverse. O’Rielly took a minute to warm up, but once he got going the two were just bouncing off eachother. Brian Williams is Hugo Chavez. Hah!

I thought Colbert was very funny, and in a classy way. He did not denegrate O’Rilley with crude insult, he use satire very effectively. I thoroughly enjoyed the piece and wish Hot Air would post more of it.

After reading the posts above it makes me wonder if we were watching the same video. I saw Satire that was beautifully executed in a humorous manner and Colbert was not confrontational or demeaning to O’Riley.
