Report: Hillary preparing to play the Muslim card on Obama

After the beatings Dennis Prager and Virgil Goode took over Keith Ellison, Hillary’s suddenly going to turn around and accuse the golden boy of being a Manchurian candidate? I don’t buy it. It’s too soon, too nasty, and too clumsy, and her people would be keeping this kind of oppo research a much better secret if it were true.
I’m calling bullshinola.
An investigation of Mr. Obama by political opponents within the Democratic Party has discovered that Mr. Obama was raised as a Muslim by his stepfather in Indonesia. Sources close to the background check, which has not yet been released, said Mr. Obama, 45, spent at least four years in a so-called Madrassa, or Muslim seminary, in Indonesia.
“He was a Muslim, but he concealed it,” the source said. “His opponents within the Democrats hope this will become a major issue in the campaign.”…
“The background investigation will provide major ammunition to his opponents,” the source said. “The idea is to show Obama as deceptive.”
No, the idea is to show he’s a Muslim. It’s like when lawyers try to get damning hearsay admitted into evidence. They claim they’re offering the statement as proof of something other than the truth of the matter asserted (e.g., that the witness has made contradictory statements), but they’re really not. They want the jury to hear it and consider it on its own merits.

In Indonesia, the young Obama was enrolled in a Madrassa and was raised and educated as a Muslim. Although Indonesia is regarded as a moderate Muslim state, the U.S. intelligence community has determined that today most of these schools are financed by the Saudi Arabian government and they teach a Wahhabi doctrine that denies the rights of non-Muslims.
Although the background check has not confirmed that the specific Madrassa Mr. Obama attended was espousing Wahhabism, the sources said his Democratic opponents believe this to be the case—and are seeking to prove it. The sources said the opponents are searching for evidence that Mr. Obama is still a Muslim or has ties to Islam.
Which I guess means CNN was right all along, eh? Absurd.
Now, if you want to tell me that this was fed to the media by Hillary’s people, now we’re talking.
Exit question: Assuming it’s not true, what’s the source’s motive here? If it’s someone sympathetic to Obama who’s trying to make Hillary look bad, wouldn’t/couldn’t they have concocted a smear that didn’t involve Obama being linked to Wahhabism?

Here’s another thought I’ve been having about the ‘manchurian candidate’/’sleeper al quaeda’ Obama.
He’s 45, right?
He was enrolled in the Madrassa when he was 6. That’s 39 years ago. That makes it 1968.
So, for this conspiracy to be true, we must assume that in 1968 (when there were still seperate drinking fountains for Whites and Blacks…or just a few years removed from that anyway) the radical Muslims had enough foresight to brainwash little, half-black Barack Obama so that he could one day convert (psyche!) to Christianity and trick the US people into voting him in as President?
Maybe I’m over simplifying it. Maybe the belief is that there are a lot of “sleeper AQs” that have fake converted to Christianity on the off-chance that they would someday reach positions of power….and Obama is the first (that we know of) that has achieved this?
I mean, the fact he’s a liberal democrat tells me he doesn’t have the same plan for America’s future that I do. And I don’t have a problem vetting him closely and making sure that he doesn’t have any skeletons/hidden agendas in his closet. I’m just not sure I can see the conspiracy.
On the other hand, if the Muslim’s in the 1960’s had the foresight to brainwash a guy like Obama to put him in place for 2008…..I’ve gotta give props to those guys. That’s some good thinking ahead.

IMHO,At this stage of the game if you think allowing a Musilm to hold the POTUS position to prove how much of a liberal you are, taking the risk that he just might be okeedokee,then you are truly wacked. Disrgarding the fact that he has shown none of the management skills required to hold the office, and that he is so leftist in his voting record, why in the world would anyone think this is a good idea in any way shape or form?
It is just asking for trouble, for no other reason other than to herald one’s “progressive” creds.

Just because the Constitution diagrees on the legality of not allowing a Muslim to serve in our government, does not mean “we the people” should allow it. If enough people in this country are voting to allow this primitive idealogy and the people that believe/practice it to hold the powers of office, we are in deep shit.

If JadeNYU is the “voice of reason” then we are all in trouble. The issue isn’t whether they “had the foresight to brainwash him in 1968 a la the Manchurian Candidate.”
The issue is that Madrassas are ALL brainwashing ALL the time. If he is covering that aspect of his life up then there is a problem with him in any position, much less POTUS.
Does anyone else think that this is simply a pre-emptive move by Hitlery Rotten Clinton to get out in front of this issue so that when she and Obama are running mates they have thoroughly dealt with the issue so that it cannot bite them in the run-up to the election?
I think this is less a hit than a strategy to overcome a liability.

So, exactly what does Obama plan to get done while president? What is his “vision” – specifically, not broad glowing platitudes. Taxes, government control over business, Commander in Chief, etc etc. Nothing more worthless than a man or woman who wants to be president, just because.
Maybe honora can enlighten us as to Obama’s past managerial/executive resume, with links, analysis, etc.

It’s not what concerns you or me that’s at issue here – it’s what concerns the Muslim umma. It makes room for only two categories under which to place Mr. Obama: either
1. An apostate from Islam
2. A raging taqiyya artist
#1 is not a casual choice. There will be implications for him (and all of us, if he is elected to higher office). #2 is self-explanatory, and we both hope he’s not this.
There are no other, more nuanced alternatives, unless people like Mr. Spencer have somehow misread the Islamic sources and their modern-day representatives and clerics, which have never deviated and do not today deviate one iota from classical doctrine.
If Mr. Obama’s exposure in the world continues to rise, so will cries from the Muslim world demanding to know whether he’s #1 or #2. And there’s nothing much we can do about it, except to recognize and understand the impuluse as intrinsic to Islam (your earlier experiences with your
NajiPakistani roommate notwithstanding).So: If he is #1, and not #2, then he still has a lot of explaining to do – if not to you, then to the Muslim world who will be demanding it – so that they may judge precisely what form his apostasy from Islam has taken/will take.
W/all due respect, your situation as explained doesn’t necessarily reveal a lot. The father might be tolerant, he might not; Muslim puritanism doesn’t express itself in the same way as Christian. You’re weren’t Muslim, hence you had no honor to protect, so why would his father (or any other Muslim) care?
Two other cases – EITHER his daughter rooming with a kuffar male in college – OR his son rooming with a Muslim female (not his blood relative) – would demonstrate more of what you’re suggesting. (Not saying his father’s bad, just saying his reaction is consistent with both ends of the spectrum.)
What would also reveal a lot is: does the father prefer a legal system that upholds your right to testify against his son in court if you had been ra–d, over one that adheres to Islamic law? If so I would be impressed with the father – and would wish there were many more like him in the candidate pool of Muslims for U.S. President.

You seem to be parroting AP’s assertion that this attempt was somehow clumsy or heavy handed and therefore couldn’t be Hillary. Was Nationalized Health Care under Hillary subtle or “handled” deftly? How about travelgate or those pesky FBI files? What about the articles leaked but NOT PROMULGATED by the press itself casting questions on Vince Fosters death? Puh-lease! You people better get your heads out of Hillary’s butt and realize that it is only because she has been PROTECTED by the MSM that has made her last even this long! OF COURSE they would put out the fact that Obama ain’t all that far away from OSAMA! They’d do it because they are secure in the knowledge that nobody but YOU will call them on it! I guess that whole “no religious test” of Article VI is really tough to grasp for some people. The point is to verify that he has no connections to the jihad, not to demand an expression of fealty to christianity. The day we start requiring that is the day America really is no different then the religious fanatics we’re fighting.
