He may not know who the leader of Iran is, but he knows his country classics.
I like how his voice turns a little “black” at the very end, too. Not as black as, say, Al Gore’s, but it’s the racial-pandering thought that counts.

Pathetic.

Guys who are tenors should never try to sing below their range.
Slublog on January 17, 2007 at 11:25 AM
It’s a bit cheap when whites try to flatter us by talking “black”, and to be frank, a bit insulting. Next…
TheThink on January 17, 2007 at 11:28 AM
I thought I saw him on American Idol last night…needless to say, he’s not going to Hollywood!
LMAO at “pulling myself up by my bootstraps”…A couple more pulls, and he’s reach the five-foot mark…
JetBoy on January 17, 2007 at 11:30 AM
I was thinking that too when we listened to it this morning.
A sad, sad man.
Candy Slice on January 17, 2007 at 11:30 AM
Agreed.
Theworldisnotenough on January 17, 2007 at 11:30 AM
Why didn’t he just get down on his knees…and not to sing “Mammy” either.
DoctorDentons on January 17, 2007 at 11:32 AM
Oh the joy of a Democrat majority!
Thanks America!, for giving men (sic) like this responsibility for our nation’s future.
billy on January 17, 2007 at 11:36 AM
THis guy is really a fool and he wants to be our next President.
Catie96706 on January 17, 2007 at 11:46 AM
Wow. That Hugh Hewitt interview could have been a sketch from Saturday Night Live.
The video clip too, for that matter.
Wow.
hillbillyjim on January 17, 2007 at 11:46 AM
“We’re not gonna be takin’ the red line!”
Why do blacks put up with this shit? First thing I thought of was John “Can I get me a huntin’ license here?” Kerry.
If they don’t like themselves, why should we like them?
Jaibones on January 17, 2007 at 11:48 AM
OMG. is this a joke????
pullingmyhairout on January 17, 2007 at 11:49 AM
Stalinist twit.
Good Lt on January 17, 2007 at 11:52 AM
So far that was the worst 1:32 of my entire day.
IndependentConserv on January 17, 2007 at 11:58 AM
We don’t. Just some of us do, like Jesse Jackson. But, to be fair, pandering to blacks is nothing new to either side in politics; Democrats are just more used to it, lately anyway.
TheThink on January 17, 2007 at 12:00 PM
Seriously America? This is what you elected? I know, I know, this isn’t the biggest deal… but I’m going to just repeat that question a number of times a day as we see these Dems get more and more ridiculous. Whether it’s Barney Frank losing his sh** on the house floor, or Nancy “ethical” Pelosi seeking out the least ethical for leadership positions, and giving sweetheart deals to companies based in her district, etc. etc. etc. We’re barely weeks in and it’s enough to make one physically ill.
And let us not forget the wise words of the future President of the United States, Mr. Hillary Clinton:

Good thing Simon Cowell wasn’t there.

Ironically, the new song is going to be re-written for the times:
You 16 deductions, what do you get
Another day older and deeper in debt
Saint Peter don’t you call me ’cause I can’t go
I owe my soul to the IRS.
And my personal favorite stanza:
If you see me comin’, better step aside
A lotta men didn’t, a lotta men died
One fist of iron, the other of steel
If the right one don’t a-get you
Then the left one will
Tim Burton on January 17, 2007 at 12:29 PM
That’s not a traditionally “black” song is it?
Maybe it was this line that made him think it was:
Or maybe that’s just me projecting ’cause I think there’s a little racist inside everyone who panders to the races.
jdpaz on January 17, 2007 at 12:30 PM
Too bad Simon Cowell wasn’t there.
OBX Pete on January 17, 2007 at 12:33 PM
Too bad Simon Cowell wasn’t there.
That’s what I was thinking. Could you imagine?
Kucinich - “So, what did you think? Am I on my way to Hollywood?”
Paula - “You know you seem very sweet.”
Randy - “Gotta tell you, dog. Your voice wasn’t the strongest, but I was feelin’ it, know what I’m saying?”
Simon - “I thought it was atrocious…”
Paula - “Oh, come on…”
Simon - “No, Paula. It was wretched. Name one good thing about Dennis’ performance. He was out of his range, he switched keys midway and his song selection was sixteen tons of awful.”
Kucinich - “So, I’m not going on…?”
Simon - “No, Dennis. Thank you for coming, but if you had any dreams of becoming a star, they will not come true today.”
Kucinich leaves, dejected.
Seacrest - “So, what did the judges say?”
Kucinich - “Those guys don’t know (bleep)! I can sing! I may not be the next American Idol, but I’m going to be big! Just wait! Simon, I better never see you on the street, because I’m going to kick your (bleep)!”

The last line sums up liberalism and it’s war against freedom: “Everyone has a right to a job”. What kind of non-sense is that? Where is that written? Where has that proposition ever existed? Only in the economic system known as communism. In the econ. system of communism, everyone has a job..and the vast majority of the jobs are low-wage, low-skill. All of the jobs are govt. jobs because all industry and commerce is govt. owned. But of course the “Politburo” was fat and happy. Dennis, thank you for once again demonstrating the purpose of the dem. party..to eliminate individual freedom and the govt. take-over as much of the private sector as possible.
I give ole Denny credit, he has become quite the “pander bear”…………

Coal is black, so that might be the connection. Just a thought.

Ditto areseaoh. Big time embarrasment for N.E. Ohio. I don’t live in his district, but I work there. I love to point out Barney Frank is even crazier!
I feel better now.

I am blogrolling TheThink.
Sorry, but I am a patronizing Southern white girl who really does have “black friends” and I aim to make plenty more.

My comment didn’t show up-possibly it was too ‘Dennis Miller’ and not obvious enough:
