Wow.

That was freaky. It amazes me what our troops go through on a daily basis and retain the capacity to laugh and joke about it. They have great cahuna’s and all my respect.

The Soldier’s Creed:
I am an American Soldier.

I am a Warrior and a member of a team.

I serve the people of the United States and
live the Army Values.

I will always place the mission first.

I will never accept defeat.

I will never quit.

I will never leave a fallen comrade.

I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment and myself.

I am an expert and I am a professional.

I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat.

I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life.

I am an American Soldier.

Holy snot-cakes, Batman

That was no bug. Camel spit, maybe.

Hooah! 11Bravo’s are the best!

Limerick, thank you – great reminder!

Our Soldiers, one and all, and your families, Thank You!

You sure are “guardians of freedom and the American way of life”, even if many of us are often very stupid!

Damn, and I mean damn. I guess that was sniper fire. Pesky 7.62 mm mosquitoes.

Praise God, it held. Now it looks like the mini-van windshield when a truck kicked up gravel. Good thing the guys aren’t in mini-vans over there.

That was a good shot – dead center in the window. The Iraqi snipers are getting good.

Seriously – what was that???

Candy Slice on January 17, 2007 at 7:31 AM

That is definitely an eye-opener. Those Iraqi bugs are nasty, eh?

Seriously – what was that???

That was a bullet hitting bullet-resistant glass.

Dang! It amazes me that they were laughing. God bless them!

As an x-11Bravo I exercise my moral authority and report that it’s the adrenalin rush that makes you laugh!

If you think bungy jumping or skydiving is a high, try surviving an ambush!

Once everyone realizes that they have all their body parts, you would think that the platoon was just visited by Bob-friggin-Hope!

Anybody see those Camel Spiders yet? They hide in the shade, so the soldiers were freaked out by these Aliens (the egg-laying kind) running toward them, but they would stop as soon as they entered the soldiers’ shadow.

And I thought I had an Ant problem at home.
