I don’t know where this fell on the timeline vis-a-vis the other clip, but there can’t have been more than an hour or so between them. She’s still wrecked, although marginally less slurry.
The interviewer almost makes it through the segment without laughing. Almost.

I’m beginning to think that the American Idol producers get her juiced up just for such occasions so she can keep AI in the news and to bring in the trainwreck viewers.
Supposedly, there is a reality TV show following Abdul around too that’s supposed to air on Bravo or VH-1 or something.

Seriously, that’s what I want to know. I can imagine two possibilities, because obviously she couldn’t hide how messed up she was. A. In a drunken fury she threatened to fire them, etc. if they tried to stop her from going on, or B. There were signs of low ratings for the coming season and they wanted to create a buzz, so they got her smashed and sent her out on the interview circuit.
At least this interviewer (unlike those in the other clip) sort of inquired about her behavior. Lol, “do you always wiggle around that much?”. And her “cover” was priceless - “I’m a dancer! (snaps fingers, gives a high kick in in front of the camera)”. Then later when he tells her he doesn’t know what she just said, and then laughs at the end, the two achors tried to play dumb though.
And oh, by the way, Barbara Walters, in my opinion, rues the day that she put that animal on her show.

Having seen the other video and now this one, all she needs to do is put on sunglasses, and she’s Eddie Murphy playing Stevie Wonder.
The best thing about this particular video is that an older man is still an anchor somewhere in America. Here in Detroit, a guy of that age would be forced out. I’m glad to see he’s on, whoever he is.

I couldn’t watch it all and really don’t care to watch her like this. (or anyone… alcohol destroys so many lives) I’m no Abdul historian, but I think she’s been thru enough and is still one of the top female entertainers in the world.
And if I were younger, I might have a crush on her.
