Back in the 70s my dad accepted a job with an oil company in Libya, and we were getting ready to move (wife and kids would have moved to Switzerland) when he got a letter from the Libyan embassy telling him all the things that could not be brought into the country: Levis jeans (Jew!), books by Jewish authors (including the bible), etc. Before that he hadn’t known about Islamic hatred of all things Jewish, and fortunately decided to stay in the US of A. Whew. Close call; I could have grown up to be eurotrash.

She did without complaint, but she did ask why he wanted her to do that. He replied, “they offend me.”

Addition, + seems more like a cross to me than an X
Multiplication, will they just spell out multiply instead of using the common x.
