Tony, thanks for the heads up. But I confess to being sarcastic myself. When it comes to the lib mind, sometimes you have to ask questions with a tongue-in-cheek manner to get them to be honest. And, you know, libs are advocating we treat terrorists with respect. So when honora made her ill-fated attempt at sarcasm(I guess it was sarcasm)of treating people with respect, I just wanted to get her on the record...............

Of course she dodged the question as usual...off-topic girl she is........

I'm just havin' a little fun with our little resident moonbats. They'll never get it and if they do they'll pretend they don't. But it's fun to mess with 'em.

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?" and to which the mirror would always reply, "You are."

The most intelligent, of course, is our very own honora. Tony, you should know that by now and not contest it.

But after Snow White became seven (which is the official age that a girl becomes a maiden) when she asked her mirror, it responded, "Queen, you're the fairest where you are, but Snow White is more beautiful by far."

And Tony, you are the best dad from all accounts. honora just hasn't followed your story, or didn't grasp it. Don't go there; it's futile.

Poor the energy into little Tiara. Regards,

Thanks for the grammar lesson Honora, I know what 2nd person means, it just didn't refer to anybody directly. I thought maybe you knew exactly who I was referring to in my "diatribe" when the writer (me) didn't have anybody specific in mind. Nice attempt at dodging the topic though.

[AP:] but I can’t understand why anyone would become an Iraqi policeman.

Of course you can’t
Capitalist Infidel on January 16, 2007 at 6:36 AM

That seems a little harsh there, Capitalist Infidel.

For the record, I'm not trying to accuse AP of cowardice. My reference to Marshall Kane from High Noon was to illustrate that standing up for what is right is no guarantee that others will stand with you, and you may well find yourself outnumbered and outgunned and unappreciated.

To be fair, Rite, when Honora said "kids love that" she was being sarcastic, but her point, as usual, was way off. It is the left wingers who are angry and bitter ... and HATEFUL. They hate Dubya so much that they hope their own country loses a war so as to make the hated Dubya look bad and so they can say "See? I told ya so!". Even if that means the enemy comes here to kill THEM. I don't get it. How do you hate your own president that bad? How can anybody be willing to let fanatical killers into their country just to say they were right? I didn't like Klinton and I didn't want us in Bosnia, but I also didn't hope U.S. would get hurt just so that I could say "Told ya so".

My point was, if we don't fight 'em there, they'll fight us here. Look at what happened when we pulled out of Somalia. Just imagine what would happen if we pulled out of Iraq. Stop putting your Dem party above your country, libs.

Respect for others? Honora, are you referring to the terrorists, or libs? Bitterness and anger? Again, terrorists or libs? Kids love bitterness and anger? What kind of kids have you been around? The only kids I see with bitterness and anger are the ones being brain-washed into suicide-bombers………..

“…even if they get out of Fallujah, Washington itelf will be a target.”

Hear that, libs? Do you understand what he’s saying? Can your feeble little brains comprehend it?

Now that I have a 7 week old baby, I know how to talk to you libs on your intellectual level and I will try to … how do you kids say it … *break it down* for ya: We are using Iraq as a battlefield in the war against global islamic terrorists (typing really slow here) and we are drawing them in from around the Middle East … so that we can kill them. If we don’t kill them, and we leave Iraq, they will come here to North America and try to kill Mommy and Daddy. (sniff sniff) aaawwwww did you make stinkies? Did I scare the stinkies out of you? Ok, let me get the wipes and a diaper for ya. Here’s your bottle. Now go to sleep and let the grownups handle the monsters in the closet. Don’t be scared, Daddy’s here.

Lucky kid, having a parent with such dignity and such respect for others. Bitterness and anger, kids love that!!

It would be unwise to extrapolate too greatly based on one interview with one Iraqi police officer.

We are using Iraq as a battlefield in the war against global islamic terrorists (typing really slow here) and we are drawing them in from around the Middle East … so that we can kill them. If we don’t kill them, and we leave Iraq, they will come here to North America and try to kill Mommy and Daddy.

You know what this reminds me of? One of those old school video games where the bad guys pop out of a little hole, one every 10 seconds or so. No matter how long you stand by the hole and kill them, they just keep coming out. It's fun for about 20 minutes, but then you realize there are more productive things to do than stand by the hole and you go play the game and deal with the baddies as you encounter them.

So Tony, you stand by the hole and kill them as they pop out until your fingers go numb; I'll go explore, find a key, kill a boss, rescue a princess, and beat the game.

"...even if they get out of Fallujah, Washington itelf will be a target."

Hear that, libs? Do you understand what he's saying? Can your feeble little brains comprehend it?

Now that I have a 7 week old baby, I know how to talk to you libs on your intellectual level and I will try to ... how do you kids say it ... *break it down* for ya: We are using Iraq as a battlefield in the war against global islamic terrorists (typing really slow here) and we are drawing them in from around the Middle East ... so that we can kill them.
I do not believe vigilantism is the answer. That is replacing one anti-democratic system with another and the goal is to work towards democracy and not to encourage the mentality that has created the problem in Iraq (and the ME in general). Instead of complaining without having a plan, my solution is to establish a system that encourages citizens to report criminals annonomously. This seems to be a better way to solve the problem with the insurgents yet discourage vigilantism as a way to solve problems after Iraq is stablized.

I can understand why someone would enlist in the Iraqi army and I can sort of understand why someone would become an insurgent, but I can’t understand why anyone would become an Iraqi policeman.

Try asking Marshall Kane.

"...citizens, fed up with the insurgency, are tracking down insurgents and killing them."

Hmmm... a grim harbinger of things to come here? Substitute your own words for "insurgency" and "insurgents" but if our border remains non-existent and/or the muslim splodeydopes get started here, well who thinks our gov't can or will be able to do anything about it?

God willing and the river don't rise, hard work and effort should return Fallujah to it's former days of glory:

Another revealing anecdote was supplied by a Marine who cited a Western travel guide to Iraq circa the 1940's: it advised tourists in the region to steer clear of Fallujah, condemning the city as a notorious den of xenophobic smugglers and thieves.

I second the call for them to be successful, along with all Iraqis, to heal ancient wounds, find peace, and finally enjoy the freedom that the United States is attempting to provide for them.

This country was started with a massive amount of violence in the name of freedom! The citizens that are taking things into their own hands are obviously in 'the know' and truly want freedom. Hats off to them. Finally a true definition of a freedom fighter :)

It sounds like the Iraqi's have figured out some things that other people in their communities have learned. I like the first idea, kill and blame. Revenge is a powerful motivator. After awhile good people are going to start taking matters in their own hands. May they be successful in their endeavor to live in peace....
