So, is anyone else irritated as I am at Drudge for putting potential spoilers on his front page in 30-point type?

Time to stop reading the wannabe-muckraker for the next 20 weeks, I think.

Slublog on January 15, 2007 at 7:48 PM

Open up a socket!

Vincenzo on January 15, 2007 at 7:52 PM

No, set up a perimeter!

Slublog on January 15, 2007 at 7:54 PM

Whatever you do, never say eat me to Jack Bauer. He must have been sick of Chinese.

JammieWearingFool on January 15, 2007 at 7:56 PM

When Jack starts killing REAL TERRORISTS…not EUROTRASH PC stand-ins—THEN I’ll get excited about 24.

But Mr.Sutherland is OLD SCHOOL SEXY (Young Guns, ladies?) SO I MAY can be convinced…

seejanemom on January 15, 2007 at 7:58 PM

Work that up.

Kid from Brooklyn on January 15, 2007 at 8:02 PM

Jack sure knows the latest in cell phone technology for being away for 2 years. Only Bauer!

flyboy777 on January 15, 2007 at 8:15 PM

Gee…having to work with the lesser of our enemies. Haven’t we been here before?

jatfla on January 15, 2007 at 8:28 PM

If Curtis goes rouge agent on Doctor Bashir, Sisko will be pissed.

Wineaholic on January 15, 2007 at 8:30 PM

If Curtis goes rouge agent on Doctor Bashir, Sisko will be pissed.

But remember, his brain is genetically altered, so Bashir will find a way out…

Dr. Gecko on January 15, 2007 at 8:34 PM

Make with the shooting already…

Slublog on January 15, 2007 at 8:37 PM

Did you see that fried corpse? Very Uncle Owen/Aunt Beru.

And maybe Bashir will find a way out of that car now, Dr. Gecko. One guard? Come on.

Wineaholic on January 15, 2007 at 8:48 PM

So, is anyone else irritated as I am at Drudge for putting potential spoilers on his front page in 30-point type?

You should have watched it last week like everyone else.

alflauren on January 15, 2007 at 8:52 PM

I noticed that the Duke lacrosse team is being held as enemy combatants on 24.

DaveS on January 15, 2007 at 8:59 PM

I think I saw some of the Hell’s Angels who provided security for the Rolling Stones on the plane about to be released. Crazy world!

Wineaholic on January 15, 2007 at 9:14 PM

I noticed that the Duke lacrosse team is being held as enemy combatants on 24.

Now that made me laugh.

zerodamage on January 15, 2007 at 9:15 PM

Would you believe, the old Russian suitcase nuke trick. Agent 99 get me the satellite.
Cartoon or not, 24 is still better than the CTI I grew up with.

Buck Turgidson on January 15, 2007 at 9:17 PM

””’clickidy clickidy clak…clak, clickidy….ok I got it….the complete floor plan of Ian’s apartment AND his third grade report card, on the way to you now Jack on a B1. Should be over you and drop in 38.6 seconds.

Wicked Wicked Games…now THATS a show.

Limerick on January 15, 2007 at 9:21 PM

One day, Ahmed and his friend are going to laugh and laugh all about this incident over a few Belly Bombers.

Wineaholic on January 15, 2007 at 9:32 PM

I can help but think about those nice, tasty White Castle burgers.

alflauren on January 15, 2007 at 9:39 PM

Holy crap.

Twice.

Slublog on January 15, 2007 at 9:54 PM

So they went Nuclear after all. And Jack pulling the trigger was a tear jerker.

zerodamage on January 15, 2007 at 10:03 PM

That episode rocked!

flyboy777 on January 15, 2007 at 10:04 PM

I knew it. That weaselly guy with the glasses is involved.

JammieWearingFool on January 15, 2007 at 10:09 PM

Another great show…Can’t believe jack had to take down Curtis. (I loved him.)
JB’s reaction both to killing Curtis and the nuke going off were awesome.
Some terrific acting and I am totally involved!

Jen the Neocon on January 15, 2007 at 10:11 PM

Such prescience. Gullible pc libtard family delivers nuke to terrorists.

frreal on January 15, 2007 at 10:12 PM

Oh and I am already sick of the Presidents sister.

frreal on January 15, 2007 at 10:14 PM

glad the little Palmers boyfriend told her to shut up and stop being such a lawyer

blatantblue on January 15, 2007 at 10:15 PM

Are we sure Curtis is dead?

Esthier on January 15, 2007 at 10:15 PM

glad the little Palmers boyfriend told her to shut up and stop being such a lawyer

blatantblue on January 15, 2007 at 10:15 PM

Me too. That guy deserves much respect.

Limerick on January 15, 2007 at 9:21 PM

I think I’ve gone blind with that comment.

Esthier on January 15, 2007 at 10:17 PM

It was pretty obvious that the bomb was going to be detonated… they only sent “red shirts” to the bomb site.

Bummer about Curtis.

Boom!

Coronagold on January 15, 2007 at 10:20 PM

I noticed the bluetooth guys are returning next week? They must be part of this secret society stuff.

flyboy777 on January 15, 2007 at 10:24 PM

Ahmed? Curtis? Boom?

SPOILERS!

:(

Timothy S. Carlson on January 15, 2007 at 10:43 PM

They’re in friggin Ireland now. I guess it must be their red hair.

This is bigger than Commies. This is religion. Aim!

Coronagold on January 15, 2007 at 10:47 PM

Esthier…. it is ART…besides I only watch it for the articles.

Limerick on January 15, 2007 at 10:51 PM

WOW!

Timothy S. Carlson on January 15, 2007 at 10:55 PM

I think we’ll find out, in the second half of the season, that the Jews are behind it all. It fits the truther template.

Im_no_dhimmi on January 15, 2007 at 11:02 PM

And Jack pulling the trigger was a tear jerker.

:( Greatly upsetting. My question: You know whenever a terrorist is holding a civilian like that, CTU always shoots the terrorist’s hand or something non-lethal. Why couldn’t Jack have done that to Curtis? Although, if I were Curtis, I definitely would have shot the guy too. Gahhh. Not very fair.

And I don’t think people should really cry about spoilers on here. I’m in the mountain time zone and I just don’t come until after I’ve seen it. :/

tiekitwist on January 15, 2007 at 11:11 PM

I like the way they snuck in some 60′s acid rock guitar during the car chase.

infidel4life on January 15, 2007 at 11:15 PM

glad i wasnt born in the 60s

blatantblue on January 15, 2007 at 11:17 PM

Ed Grimley called. He wants Jack Bauer to give him his outfit back.

Debbie Schlussel on January 15, 2007 at 11:17 PM

not nice! lol!

blatantblue on January 15, 2007 at 11:22 PM

In a word: exceptional. Jack is back, and 24 is back. I have been so critical because I believe that this show can be so good. And tonight, boy was it ever. Hope it stays this way.

P.S. I will admit part of why I enjoyed it so much was because it wasn’t overtly political. And to be fair, these two episodes were if anything right-leaning.

Patriot33 on January 15, 2007 at 11:32 PM

Once again, the entire government is portrayed as pansies and completely unable to help itself. What a weird world, but I love the show.

Vincenzo on January 15, 2007 at 11:56 PM

i liked how they made jack a little less “worlds super hero” and a little more down to earth and human; breakable like anyone else. but he will go back into kick ass mode soon enough

blatantblue on January 16, 2007 at 12:23 AM

I live in Valencia!

infidel4life on January 16, 2007 at 12:38 AM

Tell the President, I can’t do this anymore.

So long Valencia..

Remember , it’s only a show, kids.

normsrevenge on January 16, 2007 at 12:53 AM

Man. That would SO piss off the country. I think Mecca and Medina would be history if they ever pull that off.

gmoonster on January 16, 2007 at 12:55 AM

I live in Valencia!

Not anymore.

Sean M. on January 16, 2007 at 12:55 AM

/crosses Valencia off the “To Do” list…

Im_no_dhimmi on January 16, 2007 at 1:06 AM

Nuking Valencia and killing Curtis aside, I think my favorite moment was when Bauer knocked that guy down and stole his SUV. “Don’t get up!” And he didn’t. Jack doesn’t even need a gun to be a badass.

Jim Treacher on January 16, 2007 at 3:32 AM

I think Bauer, after reaching his ‘breaking point’, gets back up and kicks ass the rest of the season. Having terrorists nuke a part of your country will give you that kind of inspiration.

Jeez – to how many toxins has this guy been exposed? In the real world, he would be dead (or at least, deathly ill) by now. And he had to be within range of the fall-out. It’s hard to sneak up on the terrorists when you glow-in-the-dark.

Did the main bad guy, Fa’ad, get killed? Wasn’t he within the blast radius? So there has to be other bad guys for them to chase after (of course).

Curtis – heh. I would have done exactly what Curtis did if I was in his shoes. He saw his own troops get killed by that cretin.

So – do the terrorists have to chase down detonators (or re-programmers) for the rest of the nukes? Kind of a weak plot point, isn’t it?

Pray this scenerio never really happens – but the retaliation would be swift and severe. Maybe not nuclear, but I can see Palestine, lower Lebanon (Hezbollah), Syria and Iran getting carpet bombed. Considering the hatred for the US in the middle east, I’m surprised a nuke strike on the US hasn’t happened already.

Yikes! I’m drinking a warm glass of milk and going to bed.

Night, y’all!

Timothy S. Carlson on January 16, 2007 at 4:43 AM

No! Not the warm mil-

Boom!

Coronagold on January 16, 2007 at 6:35 AM

Well, infidel4life, somebody had to get it.

Look at it this way: if it’s not the San Andreas or the Sacramento Tax Mongers, it’s the jihadis.

Same, same. You’re cooked. Sorry.

Consolation Prize: Pelosi’s district will probably be next.

MostlyHarmless on January 16, 2007 at 9:58 AM

If the US ever gets nuked, you will see every democrat politician lined out outside the nearest mosque ready to go in and enjoy the services. ISLAM IS THE RELIGION OF PEACE.

I’m sorry but I don’t believe that would happen, not even with a Republican as President. We’d have days of mourning, followed by protests by Cindy Sheehan’s mob. No, President Hillary will don her burqa and rush off to Iran to grovel..er meet with the Iranian President and try to pay him off. The Democrat’s success in politicizing the Iraq War and basically losing it for us will keep us from ever engaging in a traditional war again; we’ll be lucky if we ever elect what any of us who remember Ronaldus Magnus will consider a conservative again. There will be covert ops, and if we’re lucky we’ll capture the ringleader. He’ll appear before the Supreme Court, get acquitted and be given his own talk show on CNN.
