Shh…don’t you know you are supposed to be quiet in a library, Robert?

MarkyX on January 11, 2007 at 9:11 AM

pathologically insecure? I think you’ve hit the jackpot. It’s also why I’m not holding my breath for the Great Islamic Reformation.

jdpaz on January 11, 2007 at 9:12 AM

I just CAN’T TAKE IT anymore.

Why won’t BUSH just say what we are all thinking?

ISLAM = BORG.

seejanemom on January 11, 2007 at 9:14 AM

What do they do? Take their wife to Chuckie Cheese’s for her birthday?

bloggless on January 11, 2007 at 9:35 AM

I’ve long thought that Robert Spencer is one of the most important voices in the world today. But he can also keep his office neat. Dang!

eeyore on January 11, 2007 at 9:52 AM

Outstanding as always, Robert. As the West succumbs ever more to Islam, your work becomes increasingly important to the few who care to fight.

Lazarus on January 11, 2007 at 10:13 AM

I read Mr. Spencer’s book a month or so ago. It’s a must read for anyone interested in the topic.

I find myself looking forward to thursdays at hotair. Great segment as always Robert.

jones on January 11, 2007 at 10:42 AM

Thank you for inviting us into your office, Robert.

As always, informative, sometimes alarming, but always entertaining.

locomotivebreath1901 on January 11, 2007 at 10:45 AM

Story time with Robert Spencer! There was once a man named MuhamMAD. The man was jealous of the Jewish people’s God. So one night after eating some bad goat meat, MuhamMad woke up in a sweat. Voila! Allah and the Koran were created! My God’s better than yours and submit or die infidel! And everyone hated each other happily ever after.

Yeah, but only as a reward for being sooooo brave while getting their childhood vacinations.

I always found it interesting that the Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet. Jesus was all about forgiveness and peace and never advocated or incited war. In fact, according to one of the gospels, when the crowd came to seize Jesus to bring him to trial, one of the disciples drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest, severing his ear. Jesus strongly rebuked the disciple.

But let a few hundred years go by, and now you have Muhammed who wages open war and advocates killing and war. Now, considering that Jesus was a “prophet”, was he just time-specific? Was he just talking about the period up to Muhammed, and then after that, all killing was OK so long as it was done in the name of Allah?

Jesus prevented the stoning of a prostitute. Muhammed led an army to sack Mecca.

One of these prophets is not like the other…

Great Vent Robert Spencer! This is the clear thinking, accurate reporting, and superb commentary we really need and will not find in the MSM

It would be a great help if Robert Spencer would define a “Moderate Muslim”. There is controversy on this issue and his view would help.

I have come to a tentative conclusion that the “moderate” Muslim is almost non-existent. Any Muslim that we would consider “Moderate” is an apostate and not considered a Muslim because of their deviation from strict Islamic doctrine. Those that do not actively engage in violent action for Islam are either “inactive” or do support such activities in a clandestine manner.

Robert Spencer’s book “The Truth about Muhammad” is a must read for those interested in knowing more about the basic conflict we “infidels” have with the Islamofacist.

omegaram on January 11, 2007 at 11:50 AM

Well we know which of the 3 choices have been selected by most of the non-Islamic nations, don’t we?

docdave on January 11, 2007 at 11:52 AM

Spencer hits it on the head. Even the conservatives are refusing to condemn Muhammad’s death cult. Making them the worst kind of Dhimmis.

seejanemom on January 11, 2007 at 9:14 AM has a very good analogy that many have been thinking but have not mentioned. Perhaps we should pay more attention:

We Are Islam
Resistance is Futile
You will be Assimilated

omegaram on January 11, 2007 at 12:07 PM

I always found it interesting that the Muslims regard Jesus as a prophet.

Jesus is a prophet in Islam, not because he is revered, but as replacement theology. Since only Islam is legitimate, only Islam’s conception of Jesus is legitimate.

These Thursday Jihadwatch segments with Robert Spencer are greatly anticipated. Once again, I am not disappointed.

This particular film clip would do well embedded in e-mail to folks who would generally not look at blogs or spend time online beyond reading e-mail and mapping directions.

BTW, is the Vice President of JihadWatch.org, the illustrious Hugh Fitzgerald, ever going to make an appearance? A virtual bank of knowledge, it would be an extraordinary event to hear/view him speak.

Robert Spencer – truthteller, warrior, organized.

They also deny the Deity of Christ and think that christians are polytheists because we believe in a triune God.

PRCalDude on January 11, 2007 at 3:06 PM

Excellent Vent!

Valiant on January 11, 2007 at 3:11 PM

Another great Vent!

The dissonant notes added to the background music are getting very distracting, at least for this listener. Would it be possible to leave them out in the future?

Vik_R on January 11, 2007 at 6:06 PM

I only wish there were a way to hack into every news outlet and play this video (and every other Jihad Watch video). Much of the non-Muslim world either doesn’t know or chooses to ignore this alarming and deadly serious information that Robert provides us. There’s nothing that can be done for those who are already willing dhimmi but for those who are still out of the loop, I hope they can be made aware.

Yakko77 on January 11, 2007 at 9:38 PM

It is considered blaspheme for a Muslim to criticize Mohammed, punishable by death. It is far worst for a infidel to even discuss Mohammed. Islam has a built in defensive philosophy that insures no one debates it in any way. There by insuring it’s inbred existence for some 1400 years. If people were allowed to criticize it, it would never have made it pass the tip of Mohammed’s sword.
