Video: Bratmania! Update: Fake

posted at 9:34 pm on January 8, 2007 by Allahpundit

Kitchen sink today, pal. Every link must go.

I might have bought it if they’d used a better actor to play the father and given the girl a different name. It’s just a tad too WASPily, preciously perfect.

Update: Bah, it’s a Dominos promo. Thanks to Todd D. for the tip.

Smells… fishy.

Definitely fishy.

Gee, and to think I was happy with a rusty ’77 Ford pickup when I was 16. Must make me a schmuck, or somethin’….

HerrMorgenholz on January 8, 2007 at 9:41 PM

Is she still in Kindergarten?

Entelechy on January 8, 2007 at 9:46 PM

Is this a joke? If so, Ehhh. If not, She’s in for a difficult life.

x95b10 on January 8, 2007 at 9:55 PM

This may be fake, but there were a lot of girls exactly like this at my daughter’s high school. Most were so spoiled that this girl looks like a saint in comparison.

mesablue on January 8, 2007 at 10:06 PM

I don’t know–I teach a ton of McKenzies. And MacKenzies. And Mickenzies. Seriously. Oh, and one Mckenzy. Kid you not.

robblefarian on January 8, 2007 at 10:08 PM

It’s possible that this is fake… however if you’ve ever watched MTV’s “Super Sweet 16″ (…… which I never have), you’d know there are girls that act like this, and worse.

That said, eff you little girl, both cars I’ve ever had are older than you.

RightWinged on January 8, 2007 at 10:09 PM

I got a ’55 BelAire in 1970, after every older sibling had driven it. I was pleased a punch.

MCPO Airdale on January 8, 2007 at 10:17 PM

My first car was a 1970 Datsun 510…with a manual shift and manual choke. And a hole in the floor.

flipflop on January 8, 2007 at 10:23 PM

If I had acted like that after my Dad bought a car for my birthday, it would have been my last birthday.

And no, never got one, never expected one and consequently was never disappointed.

fogw on January 8, 2007 at 10:40 PM

Got a yellow 72 VW beetle. With no a/c. In Texas. For seven years.

But this was in the early-mid 90s. Y’know… before global warming.

Hoodlumman on January 8, 2007 at 11:05 PM

Voted “most likely to be slapped by everyone she meets in public…”

Mazztek on January 8, 2007 at 11:10 PM

First car? A 69 black Roadrunner, 383, stick, 4 11 posi rear end, put a huge double-pumper on it later.
Took me all summer to save $300 to buy it. Yes, it was a steal even back then…late 70′s.
But it was ALL my money, not one dime from dad (or mom or anyone else).

Oh, & this vid? Total fake, look and watch psuedoDad and his voice ~ reactions…not a chance it’s real.

shooter on January 8, 2007 at 11:14 PM

My sixteen year old daughter watched the vid and wants to slap the crap out of this girl. Even if it is fake.

First car – Mercury Bobcat. Which was a twin of the Ford Pinto. A whole summer’s earnings went for it. My dad wouldn’t let me buy anything more sporty because he knew I had a lead foot.

Laura on January 8, 2007 at 11:28 PM

I hate you.

Reaps on January 8, 2007 at 11:55 PM

Reminds me of something I once heard: “There’s a man who should have pulled out early”. Unfortunately, she’s now an “adult” and some poor schmuck is actually going to end up marrying daddy’s little princess. Let’s take a moment of silence for him.

thedecider on January 9, 2007 at 12:01 AM

Okay – so the clip is not a real representation of THAT event. My comments are obviously derived from my experience with women exactly like her. The clip was a dramatization yet it did not instill a shred of surprise within me. I guess I know some pretty shallow people, huh?

thedecider on January 9, 2007 at 12:12 AM

There always are. Just pray good old dad can still exert some manly influence on the poor thing. oh, well….

1st Car – 69 baby blue Pinto. Cheery Bombs and a Pioneer 8-Track under the driver’s seat. $350 of my hard earned Western Auto pay for that jewell.

Riding in the country – Pink Floyd, Allman Bros, Sticky Fingers and a little Fogelberg to set the mood.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

BacaDog on January 9, 2007 at 12:16 AM

First car was a ’76 Chevy Malibu. Guy who sold it to me had put a Oldsmobile 455 big block in it along with Edelbrock headers and a Holley carb. Cost $500.

Scot on January 9, 2007 at 12:29 AM

Came home with a sparkly new 65 Mercury Comet Caliente. Cash. Set me back, fully loaded, $1790.00 …..I was the KING!…Filled it up for about $4.00…….Wasn’t worth a damn in the drive-in though….unless you were double jointed.

Yep them be a LOT of gray hairs peeking out, and my joints are all arthitic from that car.

Limerick on January 9, 2007 at 2:53 AM

Correction: I hate most of you.

Well, to be honest, my first car was a ’77 BMW 320i. And it was hold it’s own against my father’s Camaro on the circuit. Not suprisingly he’d disappear down the straights and I’d catch up to him on the corners. Nevertheless, landing Roadrunners or 455s as your first cars.. *head explody*

ROFL

iNeXuS on January 9, 2007 at 7:57 AM

Mine was a 1973 Pinto – the kind that blew up if you got rear ended. I loved that car, never had a lick of trouble with it. It cost me about 1,000 (I think – hard to remember back then). None of us got cars for gifts, we had to buy our own, and until then we drove the family station wagon or we walked.

Ellen on January 9, 2007 at 8:16 AM

I’m with you Ellen; 1971 Pinto, but I must have had trouble for my car AND yours; the electrical system wasn’t worth crap (endemic of early ’70s Fords, I think). My dad loaned me most of the $600 to buy it; I got a job and paid him back in one summer.

I’ve never bought a car for my kids; the most I do is let them drive mine when need be. For my youngest, who’ll be taking his road test in 2 weeks, I told him he could use my truck until he can buy his first… he’s already started working at McD’s.

Mine was a 1973 Plymouth Roadrunner. Sky blue color with the huge white stripe going aacross the back section of the roof. I still remember the license plate; 333HCT…

OK—SO YOU LAME-Os’ have obviously never seen MTV’s

MY SUPER SWEET SIXTEEN

CLICK THE LINK AND choose one of the clips from the menu at the right.

LOL. I refer to these as “soap opera” names. Britney, Madison, ye gods. What’s wrong with Annie or Kate or Molly…well okay those are my girls’ names so I’m biased. But Mercedes? Perhaps she’ll marry a guy named Bentley….

honora on January 9, 2007 at 12:02 PM

Dreaming about first cars????
Right here:
http://www.bcautos.com/musclecars/
Having been in the car business for 12 years back then, I have owned quite a few of these. Still great to look at and wish I had one now.

shooter on January 9, 2007 at 9:46 PM

My first car (although technically my dad owned it. He bought it for $500.00) was a ’38 Ford I had helped my dad restore.

I remember taking my date to the prom in it. Everyone else had all these cool Camaros, Corvettes and etc, while all I had was this old ’38. Guess which car was considered the coolest around?

Natrium on January 9, 2007 at 10:00 PM

Probably the Camaro…or the Corvette…;)
