Very cool, I caught Titus’ routine on TV the other night, glad to see he gets it .
bbz123 on January 8, 2007 at 8:13 AM
I guess it’s no surprise that a C/W singer from Oklahoma has her head on right.
I’m just glad to see that Titus is on board. I knew I liked that guy for a reason.
flipflop on January 8, 2007 at 8:19 AM
Michelle, I have GOT to get that shirt!!!!
Mortis on January 8, 2007 at 8:29 AM
Mortis –
You can get one here.
flipflop on January 8, 2007 at 8:38 AM
God Bless Titus and Carrie Underwood!
These celebrities are angels because their visit means the world to our Troops.
Our Troops deserve the morale boost, thank you Carrie and Titus.
flagwaver on January 8, 2007 at 8:40 AM
FINALLY.
A RIGHT RATIONAL FEMALE CELEBRITY.
seejanemom on January 8, 2007 at 9:02 AM
Good for them. It’s always nice to see celebrities that are unfashionably (at least among their peers) patriotic.
I wanted to mention a few other celebs that I personally know deserve credit, in case any of the names are news to you. And unfortunately I know I’m going to forget some, but here goes:
Wayne Newton (who took over the USO leadership from Bob Hope, and who’s been entertaining the troops since Vietnam). Gary Sinise, who tours with his Lt. Dan Band. Bruce Willis and his band the Accelerators. Darryl Worley. Kid Rock. The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders. Chris Isaak. Vince McMahon and the WWE, who’ve put on a Christmas show from the war zone (brainchild of FOX business contributor and former wrestler John Bradshaw Layfield) for 4 years straight. I wish I could think of more right now, but I’m not awake yet.
ReubenJCogburn on January 8, 2007 at 9:19 AM
Can anyone name a lefty-celeb that’s done a USO tour or visited the troops EVER! Seriously, I can’t!!
Dread Pirate Roberts VI on January 8, 2007 at 9:24 AM
Robin Williams. But after him, I’ve got nothing. Which makes sense, since the left despises the military, by and large.
Pablo on January 8, 2007 at 9:28 AM
I’ve seen video of that red head Kathy something or other from that D-List show has been over there. And she is a self-proclaimed liberal.
rslancer14 on January 8, 2007 at 9:37 AM
Kathy Griffin.
ReubenJCogburn on January 8, 2007 at 9:49 AM
It’s sad you don’t see this on the MSM…
maintenanceman on January 8, 2007 at 10:11 AM
Robin Williams and Drew Carey have both entertained troops in Iraq.
Drew Carey’s a former Marine (or as I like to say to my Marine Corps buddies, a “recovering Marine”). I think Williams is a lefty, but by all accounts has a sincere affection for the troops.
flipflop on January 8, 2007 at 10:36 AM
Yes, there is a type of Conservative Underground in Hollywood. And there are some hardcore liberals who will go to entertain the troops with sincere affection.
My fear is that they might face a type of blacklisting for being conservative actors or for some liberals crossing the line to join conservatives in some endeavor.
Michelle, great t-shirt! THAT IS WHAT I CALL DIVERSITY!
The False Dervish on January 8, 2007 at 10:44 AM
As much as I hate to admit it, I hear that Stuart Smally himself has been to Iraq. I’m not sure how that makes any kind of sense, though.
Anyway, speaking of that shirt, I’ve wanted to get one since I first saw it a long time ago.
Wolfman on January 8, 2007 at 10:51 AM
There are a LOT of right rational female celebrities in country music.
Glynn on January 8, 2007 at 11:00 AM
Bruce Willis is also over there near constantly with his band on tour. My boss, a fellow Marine Reservist and a LtCol, has met him 3X.
Ahhnold, too. Nick and Jessica, and recently, Jessica alone, regularly tour. Kathy Griffin does comedy tours, too.
They never ask for recognition, either. But they do have our respect.
Mazztek on January 8, 2007 at 11:05 AM

Al Franken has been to Iraq about 4 times. How many times has Limbaugh?
honora on January 8, 2007 at 11:18 AM
Al Franken, Robin Williams, Drew Carey, Wayne Newton, Kid Rock, Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, James Gandolfini, 50 Cent, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, David Letterman, Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson, Gary Sinise, Darryl Worley
List of entertainers that have performed in Iraq since war began.
honora on January 8, 2007 at 11:22 AM
Great Vent Michelle!
Not all entertainment celebrities are Moonbats and some support our troops. Thank for exposing us to this news source.
omegaram on January 8, 2007 at 11:28 AM
Toby Keith.
ChrisIansNana on January 8, 2007 at 12:56 PM
Nice vent and a tip of the hat to entertainers supporting our troops and our country.
God Bless and watch over our military.

He’s been to Iraq once for a short stay and to Afghanistan for a much longer stay visiting many sites.
Faith1 on January 8, 2007 at 1:57 PM
Not sure if she’s been there, but Skater-honey Sasha Cohen is a big troop-supporter.
mikeyboss on January 8, 2007 at 2:07 PM
Can you give me a link re his visit to Iraq? Can’t find anything.
honora on January 8, 2007 at 2:15 PM
Don’t forget Ted Nugent.
indianaconservative on January 8, 2007 at 2:27 PM
“Al Franken has been to Iraq about 4 times. How many times has Limbaugh?”
Sounds like Franken has a lot more time on his hands…guess that happens when you’re basically unemployed.
jugger on January 8, 2007 at 2:34 PM
So when Dems visit it’s because they have nothing else to do. When Reps visit it’s because they’re saintly.
Got it. (BTW, Franken is busy getting ready to run for the Senate in Minnesota. Which he will win.)
honora on January 8, 2007 at 2:43 PM
If you all recall, Rush was in Iraq and Afganistan
last year visiting the troops and getting their input…..
Robin Williams may have a left slant but he is very good to the troops…
robo on January 8, 2007 at 3:10 PM
Well let’s see, there are few liberals who do visit. However, smarty pants the majority are conservative. There is Robin Williams & Drew Carey who are good to the troops but Franken makes a big point of telling everyone he is there while the rest of them don’t. I’m sure the fools in MN will vote for that clown. Who cares what they do. However, the troll who thinks she knows all is the final authority so we must all bow down to her. Yeah, right.
Catie96706 on January 8, 2007 at 3:36 PM
“Which he will win” — touts our resident liberal, Honora over Franken’s run for the US Senate.
That’s assuming that he isn’t serving time for his role in the diversion of over $800,000 from a Boys and Girls Club to fund Air America. I’m pretty sure that even with corrupt, dirty, Harry Reid in charge, a Senator can’t both serve in the Senate as well as a sentence.
But, given MN’s recent election of a Calypso-Louie supporter to the House, your point is well taken.
georgej on January 8, 2007 at 4:32 PM
Actually Kathy Griffin did a tour of both Afganistan and then Iraq the following year. She chronicled the Iraq trip in her E show “My life on the D list”. It was pretty funny and no, I’m not gay.

THANK YOU FOR NOTICING THE DISTINCTION OF “RIGHT RATIONAL”!
I am trying to get the THINKING WING of the Republican Party to find a new name. There are Crunchy Cons, (of which I am one), Evangelicals (consider myself one of those too), etc…and you can overlap of course. I use RATIONAL THOUGHT to justify my Conservatism. I am on the RIGHT side of the aisle, but I will not carry water for an Administration just because there is an “R” behind their name.
I AM NOT A RINO. I AM NOT A MODERATE. I argue the correctness of a Republicanposition based on its merits, NOT ITS EMOTION.
Take ABORTION. While it is a lamp unto my feet, The BIBLE is not a part of my argument against Abortion. I approach it thusly: LIBS CLAIM TO BE CIVILIZED. Moonbats love to say how civilized they are. Libs are SOOooo civilized.
IS IT CIVILIZED TO DELIVER A BABY TO THE “Goal line” AND THEN SUCK OUT ITS BRAIN?
Not so much. Discussion over.
If a LIB is being INTELLECTUALLY HONEST (another thing they claim to be), he will know that he is wrong. If he’s not…put on your Nasty Judgmental Christian Hat on and pray for his Eternal soul, because Hell is still there, and he’s still goin’.
When you approach Libs on THE TURF THEY CLAIM, it is pitiful easy to defeat them with their own LOGIC. Try it!
Be a RIGHT RATIONAL REPUBLICAN.
seejanemom on January 8, 2007 at 5:44 PM
OH , and KUDOS TO ANDREW WILKOW for the Renaissance of RATIONAL thought.
seejanemom on January 8, 2007 at 5:46 PM
good story. props to both. God Bless America.
sbvft contributor on January 8, 2007 at 6:47 PM
Drew Carey is a libertarian.
And after hearing Carrie Underwood talk about being a vegetarian and her support of PETA, i have a feeling she’s not a conservative. I’m always glad to see liberals in Iraq. I don’t see any reason why the war on terror should break down party lines.
Scot on January 8, 2007 at 8:34 PM
honora, you asked for a link on Rush…here just one (found several)
Also, I hope Al Franken went 4 times out of sincere conviction - somehow, just somehow the senate race triggers the mind…I hope that I’m wrong on it.
Entelechy on January 8, 2007 at 10:16 PM
Not to be mean or anything, but Kathy Griffin is rather homely. Carrie Underwood is gorgeous. Why is it that most libs are either ugly on the inside or ugly on the outside or both?
bloggless on January 8, 2007 at 11:12 PM
Senator Al Franken. What’s he going to do? Call everyone he disagrees with a liar? This is so rich…..go to Alfranken.com and click on his newsletter link. He promises to send you “BREAKING NEWS ABOUT AL”!!!!!!!! And if that is not enough to quench your everlasting thirst for information about Al, he will send you “INSIDER INFORMATION - STRAIGHT FROM AL HIMSELF”!!!!! Oh boy, sign me up!!!!!! I can’t wait!!!!!!!! It’s almost as good as the “Ovaltine- Little Orphan Annie Decoder pen”!!!!!!!!!!
bloggless on January 8, 2007 at 11:19 PM
