Sunni website “proves” al-Sadr was at Saddam’s execution

Predictable and dumb, for reasons I’ve already explained. According to Iraqslogger, it’s a pro-Baathist site known as “Rabita.” I can’t imagine why they’d be keen to put the rope in the hands of the Shiites’ most notorious figurehead.
Then again, what are the odds of another Iraqi having a mustache and wearing a pinky ring? They can’t be less than 1 to 1.

Well, that’s it. I guess we have to kill him, then.

Perhaps Sadr was there to get some pointers on how to behave when his time comes.

If true, “stupid” summs it up to perfection.

I doubt he was there, although it wouldn’t surprise me to find out he was. Nothing surprises me anymore coming out of Iraq.
One thing you do have to concede though, his influence certainly filled the room. Left no question in my mind just who is calling the shots there now.

Looks and sounds pretty convincing. They may be right. What a ballsy move if it’s true. but stupid

R D, not that ‘ballsy’ – he knew the Americans were not going to be anywhere near that ‘operation’.

If he were there, what an opportunity lost. Where would one buy a noose for such a person? Abdullah’s House of Ropes for the Fat and Mental?

If the mouth was open and we could see the teeth (or lack thereof) I’d be covinced.

I thought it looked more like Yusuf “the idiot formerly known as Cat Stevens” Islam, but we won’t know until his next thousand-selling CD.
If there’s a song on it called “Hangin’ With the Hoodies” we’ll know.

This proves that the WTC was brought down by Bush & Cheney’s bombs.

Yeah, but how did the cellphone get in there? EVERYONE was SEARCHED so “How did the cellphone get in there?” And do you imagine that it is possible to hold a cellphone above ones head in a room with no more than twenty or so people and not be seen? So, “how did the Cellphone STAY in the room long enough to capture the whole thing?” And what about Saddams executioners? I’ve never seen executioners even Islamic one’s wear MASKS! They certainly didn’t in the Saddam vids where they are torturing people and throwing them off of rooftops! So why the masks? And why were these supposedly GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS allowing someone to CHANT, “Muqtada, Muqtada”? Whether he was actually in the room, or not his PRESENCE was! And it was SANCTIONED by the IRAQI GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS who couldn’t see the guy holding up the cell phone!
If Mucky had nothing to do with it, Riddle me this Batman, “Why aren’t there voices on the tape STOPPING THEM?” and “How did the hanging proceed?”, “Why isn’t there a voice saying, “Hey, you with the cellphone”, on the tape?” Those of you who are so quick to dismiss the claim of Al Sadr’s direct involvement seem to be blind to his IMPRINT which is ALL OVER THIS THING!
That said, I couldn’t care less if it was the Easter Bunny that whacked Saddam.
