Since when is Imus taken seriously? This comment on Rummy et al is fairly mild by his standards. This is like complaining that Howard Stern talks dirty. Well yeah….

This country loves redeemed ‘victims’, i.e. this duo.

Why Imus is treated as a ‘political guru’, as if he were a current/former U.N. international elder has always been beyond me.

He is, however, entertaining in his own gruff ways, glad that someone, anyone still cares for him, and once in a while even tells it like it is, in his own style.

I have a good Barnicle story related to when he got fired by the Boston Globe for plagiarism. My boss was at a country club bar sitting with a couple buddies after a round of golf. The bar tender got a phone call and furled his eyebrows while on the phone and then hung up. The guys at the bar asked the bartender what that was all about and he went on to tell them that “Mike Barnicle just called and asked me to lie for him. He wanted me to tell the press that the he got the plagiarised words from talking to me in this bar. He wanted me to tell the press that he was simply passing onto his readers what we had talked about in this bar.”
Mike Barnicle is a dirtbag. He’s just an vain, elitist wimp with a microphone who will say whatever is popular at the time in order to gain acceptance.

By the way, again, why isn’t somebody seriously investigating Imus and his wife for using “The Ranch” as their vacation home?

Really, to hell with the politics. They do damned nice work with that Ranch, which Imus conceived and created, which Imus set up Imus Ranch Foods to fund, and which they run in a hands on fashion. What’s to investigate? What’s the problem with it? The time they put into it would offset any value they get out of staying there, and it isn’t like Imus can’t afford a spread in New Mexico without exploiting sick kids.

Even stupid old fools can get things right, and the Imus Ranch is one of those cases.

Imus, btw, would be pissing all over himself on the way to the gallows. Barnicle would redefine the word “blubbering”. He should stick to Hot Stove talk.

This morning (Fri 1/5) I was listening to Imus….Donald Trump was the guest….The Trumpster was talking about meeting some Iraq war veterans returning and being invited to his Florida resort…He talked about how some veterans are severely maimed with no arms and no legs and in his words how “in many cases would be better off dead”.

Against the war, but supports the troops? Sure, he does.

The Imus change toward being a total leftie weiner is part of the pattern of what is happening to NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, etc. This really started when Brian (crooked head) Williams took over. Brokaw was a flaming liberal but it was much more subtle than this Williams is. They don’t even try to show any semblance of fairness any more. As somebody said above, Imus’s crazy wife has gotten him totally over the line. She is going to be on this morning. Look at her eyes then remember the eyes of the “run-away bride’ of about a year agoand you can see what I mean. You can tell that every word that comes out of Imus’s mouth is out of her mouth. It took the NBC heads a little time but they finally have completely taken over the Imus radio show and turned it into the Imus “Williams, Russert, Brokaw, Barnicle, Deidre Imus” show. It is pathetic watching him foam at the mouth about this bunch of left wing liberals. By he way, just what does this ignoramus Bo Dietl add to the show?
