Rep. Keith Ellison (D), the first Muslim elected to congress shook his hand with Rep. Virgil Goode (R) during the opening session of the 110th Congress. In December, Goode was an outspoken critic of Ellison, who wanted to be sworn in using a Koran.

Note: Virgil Goode’s back is facing the camera.

I have nothing against Ellison. What I want is a public refutation of Sharia in America, period. His interview in which he says he’ll defend the constition leaves me unimpressed, and leaves Ellison the latitude to argue Sharia is in concert with the constitution, ipse dixit.
