A timely topic for the boss’s first appearance on Wilkow’s show, which airs daily from noon to 3 p.m. on Sirius Patriot. Thanks to Nick R., Andrew’s producer, for hooking us up with the audio.

I have nothing to say as I have not read it yet, but wanted to be the first to post a comment for once! ;)
Sounds like liberal logic huh!? ;)

Great interview, as usual.
BTW does any one know what’s wrong with Michele’s blog?
Ann on January 4, 2007 at 6:00 PM
But again the question has never been just if there WAS a Jamil hussien but also if he was passing on bogus reports.
This isnt over by a longshot.
William Amos on January 4, 2007 at 6:12 PM
Will also say I question the timing. michelle was all set to go to Iraq to find Jamil and even Eason Jordan was critisizing AP News. Now all of a sudden he makes and appearance in an AO News story after months of stonewalling ?
William Amos on January 4, 2007 at 6:23 PM
Michelle’s got the same story up, too.
On the other hand, wasn’t Borat threatened with arrest, as well? Didn’t help authenticate him, did it?
CyberCipher on January 4, 2007 at 6:27 PM
Britt Hume just updated the story on Special Report.
Zorro on January 4, 2007 at 6:35 PM
Zorro got to it first, Jamil Hussein is real and there is an arrest warrant with his name on it to prove it.
kiakjones on January 4, 2007 at 6:40 PM
Damn AO news is spinning this story for all its worth. Listen to this crap comming from them
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070104/ap_on_re_mi_ea/iraq_jamil_hussein
Hussein was not the original source of the disputed report of the attack; the account was first told on Al-Arabiya satellite television by a Sunni elder, Imad al-Hashimi, who retracted it after members of the Defense Ministry paid him a visit. Several neighborhood residents subsequently gave the AP independent accounts of the Shiite militia attack on a mosque in which six people were set on fire and killed.
Khalaf told the AP that an arrest warrant had been issued for the captain for having contacts with the media in violation of the ministry’s regulations.
Hussein told the AP on Wednesday that he learned the arrest warrant would be issued when he returned to work on Thursday after the Eid al-Adha holiday. His phone was turned off Thursday and he could not be reached for further comment.
Hussein appears to have fallen afoul of a new Iraqi push, encouraged by some U.S. advisers, to more closely monitor the flow of information about the country’s violence, and strictly enforce regulations that bar all but authorized spokesmen from talking to media.
William Amos on January 4, 2007 at 6:47 PM
THE AP HAS CONCOCTED THIS!! THE PERFECT OUT FOR THEM! Whoa, got a little excited there, sorry about the caps, but they are so full of BS.
What the AP will do now is refuse to identify the elusive Hussein and state the reason is beacuse they want to protect him. He doesn’t exist.
JustTruth101 on January 4, 2007 at 6:53 PM
There is still alot of explaining to do. The best case scenario for the AP, assuming Jamil checks out, still leaves an arrogant, unresponsive news provider that feels it owes nobody proof of inflamatory stories.
forest on January 4, 2007 at 6:54 PM
Plus, with all proliferation of cell phones in Iraq, there’s not one picture of the six burning iraqis? The mosques weren’t burned and no family members have come forward to say their loved one was a victom. Horse hockey.
JustTruth101 on January 4, 2007 at 6:54 PM
I saw it on Britt Hume also & came here to check the latest. Britt also bobbeled a reference to sectarian violence and said “secular violence”. Ha!
Much esplaining to do. The mother of all timing questions. Downright Rovian.

This Jamil guy was only supposedly a backup..the main guy pulled out of the “confession” a while ago from what I understand. What a circus!
