Heart-ache: Gitmo interrogator copped a squat over detainee’s Koran

He didn’t actually pinch one off but the damage to the conservative soul is done.
Other interrogators wrapped one guy’s head in duct tape. And then they got nasty.
In a previously unreported allegation, one interrogator bragged to an FBI agent that he had forced a prisoner to listen to “Satanic black metal music for hours,” then dressed as a Catholic priest before “baptizing” him.
One agent reported being told that while questioning male captives, female interrogators would sometimes wet their hands and touch detainees’ faces in order to interrupt their prayers. Such actions would make some Muslims consider themselves unclean and unable to continue praying.
Exit question: Is death metal another tactic favored by “the Likud strategy”? I’m addressing that only to those of you with conservative souls. Christianists need not reply.
Update: Think these people will get off with a little faux-crapping on the Bible?

It was self-defence against the intellectual and moral terrorism found in the Koran. Or he was trying to liberate the terrorist from his religion. Both worthy causes.
PRCalDude on January 3, 2007 at 3:38 PM
That’s entirely too bad.
Can you imagine the out rage if someone in America threw torn bibles into a mosh pit or pissed on it!?!?
…
no wait … that’s been done…

One man’s torture is another man’s art, according to Excitable Andy.
Slublog on January 3, 2007 at 3:40 PM
Ya know, I’m seriously thinking about doing a satire piece on Christians rioting in the streets because someone tore up a bible. That would be classical.
One Angry Christian on January 3, 2007 at 3:44 PM
Abuse of the Koran, huh? Oh yeah sorry I forgot there are special rules of behavior expected of potential dhimmi cultures. We all must practice, practice, practice…

I hear that in Gitmo they make you pee in a cup and then throw it on you!
frankj on January 3, 2007 at 3:52 PM
I cant express how SICK I am of this subject! I dont believe this garbage…it is the handbook of the jihadis to complain about “torture” whether real or imagined. Frankly, I think a LOT of this stuff is in the latter category.
If not, we have VERY creative “interrogators”..GOOD!
labwrs on January 3, 2007 at 3:54 PM
Why is it that we are told to care about things like this when Muslims are committing far greater atrocities across the planet?
I received my Koran from “CAIR” the other day and I just ate chili-cheese fies and prune juice… Pictures to follow.

…………wish I had thought of that.
I DO, however, have a lovely copy of the BOOK OF PEACE in my guest bathroom. When my MIL (very learned English woman)came out she looked confused.
She said….”That beautifully bound (Book of Peace) in there has lots of pages missing. How can you call that bathroom reading with missing pages?”
To which I replied…”I don’t call it ‘reading’.”

And this is obviously much, much worse than anything they do to our soldiers (or American citizens in general). I can’t believe this crap is news. Give me a f***ing break.
Rick on January 3, 2007 at 4:04 PM
on a serious note, i wonder what is being classified as “death metal” here. are we talking morbid angel, or just any band without a rapper and who didn’t chart in the 80’s?
jummy on January 3, 2007 at 4:10 PM

Not like they cut their heads off or something.

I simply do not care how prisoner’s Korans are treated at Club Gitmo. Let’s get rid of the Korans and this little issue will be solved. And if they want to mummify a guy’s head because he won’t shut his pie hole, then that’s OK too.
Is there still a chance a few Gitmo vacationers might provide “useful” intelligence? If so, do the benefits in terms of American lives saved outweigh the “inconvenience” posed by the ever-watchful eyes of the ACLU, WAPO and NYT peering over their shoulders?
Why are we taking prisoners anyway? The enemy should be dealt with on the battlefield, not given an all-expense paid trip to the Tropics.

Hey—R D
I have a lovely sidebar link on my own blog with all manner of reading material you might wish to purchase….and a lovely BIG TIMEZON shopping portal linky if you want your very own “guest library”. All proceeds go to putting my kids in Private religious school….an ironic cause….you think???

If the squat wasn’t copped,
the charge must be dropped.
What’s more outrageous…actual semen cocktails, or faux poo? Those animale are lucky we don’t go Cartman on their precious book; right before sawing their heads off with a rusty butter knife.
Exit question: Is the Three Shakes rule in effect when questioning Gitmo prisoners, as related to taking leaks in the general vicinity of the Quran?

That’s stated as if the Koran was a living person. A book was abused!
I don’t understand. I thought Muslims were the ones who thought there were no such things as sacred objects.

Some of the music involved in this vile torture was undoubtedly Gobsmack.

We play them loud rock music.
We Squat over the Qu’ran.
We have wet females caress their faces.
And we’re the bad guys?

Gregor, it shows just how backward these people are. And how far the appeasers will go to help them.

It’s becoming impossible to parody lefty criticism of Gitmo.
Tantor on January 3, 2007 at 6:05 PM
I understand the comments of most above that this is much ado about nothing. I myself am not at all impressed by the self professed outrage of the media toward every slight, large or small, real or imagined toward our enemies. Perhaps I would give them more credence if they show the same outrage towards the atrocities and obscenities committed by the enemy; you know, legit outrages such as torture and beheadings, using women and children as shields, and so on.
That being said, the above detailed stunts and others that have happened over the course of this war, while sophomoric, are harmful to our cause and to how our troops are perceived,in particular our troops in battle who will be affected most by such actions.
As a former Marine, such actions are beneath the dignity of our armed forces, and can give a dangerous impression to our enemies. As an example, one time when I was on deployment, while our group was on board ship in the Pacific, we were visited by a couple of Soviet Bear bombers. While taking great care not to approach us in any hostile or provocative way, they came low and close enough to take pictures of us. One Bear flew parallel to our deck. We could see the crew, and in the bubble in the tail of the plane, we saw the Soviet tailgunner give us a thumbs up as they flew by. One of our youngest guys, on his first float, responded by mooning them. After the Soviets left, I and a few other NCOs drug the youngster inside and beat the hell out of him. He professed with much confusion that he did not understand what we were so mad about. The point we made to him was the same point here. You embarrassed and degraded us in front of the enemy . I have no doubt that the crew of that bomber came away from that encounter with a lower opinion of the US Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy, and that the story spread throughout their ranks.
Let the enemy fear us for our ferocity and fighting ability, not for our grade school stupidity.
tomk59 on January 3, 2007 at 6:30 PM
But you’ll forgive me if I try, right?
**Yawn** Wake me when they take the GITMO detainees out of the custody of U.S. service men and women and place them in the custody of those kids attending Jesus camp. Then, if the liberals are right about how mean and evil those kids are, all the GITMO detainees will be dead within a week. Oh well. Bygones.

Note to Gitmo interrogators:
Many Islamic terrorists have heard very little recorded music in their short miserable lives so it is counterproductive blast ‘em with full-blown Cookie Monster vocal death metal right off the bat.
If you want to gain their trust and win their hearts and minds as the Left claims is the key to winning the Global War On Terror, start off by playing (at an elevated volume) selected tracks from Deep Purple’s “Machine Head” and Led Zeppelin’s “IV” CDs.
After a couple of weeks, you should notice your Jihadi subject should begin humming the opening riff to Smoke On The Water or the “AWW BABY BABY BABY” part at the end of Four Sticks when laying out his prayer rug. At this point you can gradually introduce him to pre-disco KISS and some of the better New Wave of British Heavy Metal bands such as Judas Priest.
(WARNING: Do not under any circumstances let him know that Rob Halford is a homo–save that surprise for after Abdul tells you that Livin’ After Midnight is the most awesome party song ever).
At the end of the month, your former Jihadi should now be a either a Motley Crue or Metallica fan and be begging you to take him to America to work in a music store in L.A. He will likely no longer give a rat’s ass about the Prophet Mohammed, the Zionists, or the exploitation of the workers by the American military industrial complex because he’ll be too busy figuring out exactly how he can rock n’ roll all night and party ev’ry day.

I’m sorry…I’m STILL laughing my arse off about the torture by PLAY-DOUGH FUN FACTORY ……..
seejanemom on January 3, 2007 at 8:12 PM
You said Death Metal, which gives me a legitimate reason to link to Slayer’s Raining Blood.
Personally, i think this stuff is great, and the fact that the jihadis hate it makes me like it even more.
Scot on January 3, 2007 at 8:27 PM
So let me get this straight, you can abuse the Bible in Public Schools, but you can’t fake a crap infront of a
terroristMuslim on theirholy bookterrorist propaganda book….Question, is it really that bad to act like you are taking a crap on a book that is crap?
Tim Burton on January 3, 2007 at 8:49 PM
Which part of your anatomy should be cut of for taking a dump on the Koran? I mean the turd is already separated…
pedestrian on January 3, 2007 at 9:12 PM
Well, since the guy didn’t actually take an “osama” on the “book of peace”, and then didn’t wipe his “ahmedenijihad” with the “book of peace”, I don’t see why there should be a shit-storm over this……
ritethinker on January 3, 2007 at 9:52 PM
“Holy crap!”

Foggy, you’ve said more in two words than I could’ve said in a paragraph.
As F15Mech would say: It’s fogw for the win!
Tony737 on January 3, 2007 at 10:26 PM
The FBI “survey” (that’s what it is) is all hearsay from third party FBI agents and employees, who do not do the interrogations at Gitmo. That’s done by the military, without FBI around. The Bureau is jealous that they’re supposed to be the lead agency on terrorism and aren’t doing the interrogating of the prisoners. The whole thing has no validity. And frankly, it’s all OLD news. Most of the stuff in the survey dates back to 2004 and back. Big deal. And the timing is curious, since the Pentagon just asked for $125 mill to build a legal facility at Gitmo to conduct the trials/reviews of prisoners. This was released now, to apparently nix that.

Since nobody cared when the gays went and pissed all over the Eucharist in St. Pat’s, why the heartache over the Muslim book of death. If more people used the Koran to wipe their asses, the world would be a better place.
Iblis on January 3, 2007 at 11:34 PM
All this “torture” sounds alot like my last Halloween party. Is Gitmo in the Bronx?
Rob Taylor on January 4, 2007 at 12:49 AM
All of them? Or just the ones on the same continent? Either way, that must have been quite a pile-up. If only they’d put that much effort into reproduction!
Kralizec on January 4, 2007 at 3:23 AM
From the article:
This tells us everything we need to know! But could Carpenter possibly have said it with a straight face? We should never mistreat anyone. And treating a silent jihadi politely is mistreatment.
Kralizec on January 4, 2007 at 3:40 AM
What about the crap the prisoners at gitmo did in order to get landed in there? Even if he actually took a crap on the book it doesn’t compare to what the prisoners have done to others. The muslim and liberal whining reminds me of watching over 2nd grade recess.
Highrise on January 4, 2007 at 4:21 AM
Sounds like art to me. Didn’t they put a crucifix of Jesus in a bottle of urine, and get paid for it? Sounds like a bonus for this guy.
right2bright on January 4, 2007 at 9:18 AM
The only abuse of the Koran going on here is that our own moronic government/military gave out free copies- at taxpayer expense- to stiffen the resolve of these terrorist maniacs and provide opportunities for enemy propaganda nonsense victories such as this.
No Korans, no abuse.
