One other note: Without the sports section the LAT readership would be about 16. Without the Sports and Business section about 9 people would actually read the LAT. No one respects the editorials or articles. Everyone I ever talked to bought the LAT for the business and sport section only. They have the internal marketing studies, and it absolutely confuses them that most people do not see the world their way.

But then look at their competition, why should they change?

<strong>"1,001 reasons not to trust the L.A. Times"...</strong>

... It's a shame Patterico's only one person. I'm sure posts just as long could be written about al-NYT, al-WaPo and al-AP, just for starters.

Recalls an old Rodney Dangerfield line: "I tell you I get no respect. The other day the dog went on the newspaper three times... twice I was reading it!"

LA Times: Still unfit to line bird cages.

I like Larry Elder's statement "Facts to a liberal is like kryptonite to superman". Facts will bring down most of the MSM papers, and the circulation is telling the story.
