MRC hands out awards for the year’s worst reporting

It’s the most wonderful time of the year.

Actually, given the frequency with which he appears, it’s basically a tribute to our newest advertiser. And richly deserved. Although Rick Moran‘s brother did edge him out in one category.

That one was richly deserved too, alas.

Thanks for the link, buddy.

I can’t wait until the dinner when they hand out these awards. It’s my favorite C-Span program every year.

And those ad strips aren’t cheap. $700 for a week? Crazy, man. Crazy. Oh to be a billion dollar company and have ad dollars to piss away like that.

My favorite has always been Jack Cafferty’s insinuation that President Bush somehow got Bin Laden to put out a propaganda tape to divert attention away from the NSA wiretapping controversy

I must nominate Britain’s “The Independent” for just a few days ago reporting that the Island of Lohachara has just sunk due to “global warming” when in fact it sunk decades ago due to the erosion that consumes all shallow islands eventually. And the Chickenlittle followers at Fox News for passing along the fake story as true and as of yet not reporting that it was a hoax.

I think Olberman should be disqualified for using performance enhancing drugs.
