If Allahpundit is a lawyer so be it; He shares in the image of his profession. He may not like it and in his case it may not be fair. That does not change the reputation the legal profession has earned and deserved for the most part in my opinion. You reap what you sow.

This same logic dictates we give males of middle east descent more attention for they are far more likely to be terrorist threatening our freedom and liberty, than 65 year old caucasian females.

If you think that this is the only case of prosecutorial misconduct, unfortunately, it is not.
It’s the same system that allowed numerous examples of malfeasance to be elected and retained in th US Congress.
It’s more than a crime, it’s suicidal, and must be corrected.

I’m down here too…and I agree with SouthernGent. He will at least get disbarred.

Though, if it wasn’t taking place in 2007, I’d say he’d get off AND get elected mayor (NOT governor – it’s only the idiots in Durham that like the jacka$$)…but since the year seems to be starting off REALLY well, what with Saddam going TU, Ethies kicking Islamic butt in Mogadishu, and all I think Nifong’s got a world of hurt coming.

And he deserves it all, and more.

I live down here. The “buzz” is that this is just the beginning. This case will go down in history as one that forever changed NC law, and for the better mind you. There is way too much power in the hands of the prosecutors in this state. Grand Jury proceedings aren’t even documented, recorded or otherwise open. There’s no telling what he said in that closed meeting with the Grand Jury.

Trust me, he’ll be at least disbarred…at least. Durham needs Duke WAY more than Duke needs Durham.

Besides, he’s done the PC thing from minute one even though the “victim” now can’t remmeber what happened, has several other traces of DNA (from no-one at the party or on the lacrosse team, for that matter) that she either can’t remember or can’t explain, and has changed her story more times than Clinton changed interns.
