[...] And he backs it up by talking to the reporters involved. So it turns out that Kerry et all sought out the empty table to have a private conversation.
I predict that Kerry and his people will brag about the warm reception he received in Iraq, and that he will tell stories of the horrible things he heard from the troops, the hell they are going through, the inhumane acts they have perpetrated onto innocent people, and how they are abandoned by their government, their leaders, their Commander-in-Chief!

I also predict that when that statement is made by John F. Kerry, the MSM will be all over it, shouting it form the highest mountains to the lowest valleys, to the deepest seas, and to the deepest reaches of outer space and inner space!

The MSM will continue that story, and embellish it, for a very long time, and hammer President Bush, "failed" Iraq policy, "Failed" Foreign policy, the "Defeat" of our great military, the "Super Power" which is the United States.

Furthermore, the Democrat National Committee and other Democrat, liberal, and leftist organizations and bloggers will also pick up the story and embellish it, amplify it, and repeat it ad nauseum.

Hollywood and the left leaning entertainment outlets will also help promote that story, and Bill Maher and others like him will also tell tales of woe, and how wonderful Mr. John F. Kerry, Senator from Massachusetts is and how honest the troops are to speak with him of their plight and the atrocities committed by them.

In other words, this story of the troops shunning Kerry will not be a story, but we will hear a totally different, fabricated story designed to trash the troops, make them look sad, depressed, defeated, and demoralized, and that they are guilty of atrocities

Kerry has already done this so it won't be difficult, or it is not beyond the realm of possibility, that Kerry and his propagation system, the MSM, Democrats, Hollywood, leftists, etc., will rehash this bogus claim while ignoring this shunning.

Interesting how our lefty commenters are very careful on what post to comment on. Hello, lefties...where are you?? C'mon, I know you voted for Heinz Waffles...where is your support for him?? I'm sure Heinz Waffles thinks that the troops are too intimidated to go sit with him - I mean, he is intellectually superior.

How about "I Ain't Got Nobody". Gotta dig Cab Calloway.

There is no way that a picture could have been taken of Sean Hannity's recent visit that showed nobody near him. He was mobbed every moment he was in the open. I'm certain it was nearly the same for O'Reilly.

The photo is priceless.

LOL

I love the US Military.

The <a href="http://www.nypost.com/seven/12162006/news/nationalnews/no_kerry_zone_nationalnews_ian_bishop.htm" rel="nofollow">NY Post</a> ran an article on Dec 16th about his trip to Irak, in it they quoted the mother of one of soldiers that painted the sign.

<blockquote>"That probably would be wise of him not to go too close to Talil right now because they're still a little upset," said Linda Ward, whose daughter Heather was among the GIs holding the banner in a photo</blockquote>

Carry should have stayed out of Irak period.

Since the MSM won't report any of this now, there has to be some reporter out there who'll interview the Senator from Mass & decorated Viet Nam Veteran and ask him to elaborate on his trip with an emphasis on touring Iraq.

Not that this will suprise anyone but If you run a google search on "Kerry snubbed by the Troops" all you get is blogs carrying it. If you needed a crystal clear example of Media Bias, I can't think of a better one. Imagine a Republican Senator who just vilified the troops with a 'botched joke" wherein he calls them dunces, said Senator visits Iraq and the troops snubb him like that! I think the headlines all over the media would be like, "TROOPS REFUSE TO EVEN EAT WITH HIM!" or "SENATOR WHO SNUBBED TROOPS GETS IT BACK IN SPADES"! or "WHAT GOES AROUND, COMES AROUND" or something, sheesh.

<strong>Kerry gets snubbed...</strong>

John Kerry didn't exactly get a hero's welcome from the troops while visiting Iraq. The blogosphere's been having fun with this. Check out this bit from Ben of Mesopotamia:While in Iraq, things didn't get much better for Senator Kerry. Rumor

I remember getting dragooned not once, but TWICE to sit with congressmen and other assorted higher-ups (sitting with the Commandant is an honor one cannot refuse while sitting with a congressman one may. Since it was congressman Hunter, I jumped at the opportunity). I do not doubt the poor soldier on counting duty at the hatch <em>tried</em> to grab a couple of guys to sit with the senator; the fact that they <em>refused</em> really speaks to the contempt this man is held in. Not that we didn't already know this, but this kind of hammers it home.

It's no surprise that he had no press conference. The transcript called for him to stand up and tell the Iraqi young people:
"Study hard and you'll do well. If you don't, you'll end up a member of Al-Qaeda -- and stuck in Gitmo."

Waffles couldn't bring himself to say it though, because he doesn't believe in "fair and balanced."
