What’s with the photo? I mean, you could have linked to it. Just makes HotAir seem like a PR firm for Bush. Sorry, just forget I said that.

What's fascinating to me is the degree to which the mainstream media has so attempted to delegitimize/delete the idea of President Bush as the U.S. President that his image is no longer even supposed to mean what it says. Display his picture, and you can't possibly be intending to show a straightforward picture of the President; "obviously" you must have something else in mind.

Merry Christmas to all.

My daughter home from college, in-laws in town, and a perfect SoCal day are gift enough considering the places I’ve had to spend Christmas in the past. A year filled with God’s blessings, sprinkled with a bit of prosperity, and opportunities to share the same with others.

In agreement with Bugler, the best gift is always the one you give. Except, that is, for the greatest Gift, the Savior. More than fifty people’s names have been added to the Lamb’s book of life at our church this December. Those people will experience Christmas in a different way from now on, and I want to shout God’s glory every time I think about it.

Buglar, thank you for sharing your story, giving to others, THAT is what Christmas is all about.

We gave out framed pictures of our little “Cessna” and we received diapers, wipes, formula etc all baby stuff! :-)

I got new socks, underwear, and t-shirts (same as the last few years). Saves me having to go shopping for that stuff.
And, “one doesn’t want to be involved in a car wreck with dirty, holie underwear” (as my mom used to say).
I bought my wife two pair of SAS shoes (her favorite for comfort) and for me, I bought myself a new George Foreman grill with the detachable grill plates and a box of Allen Brothers beef and wieners…..mmmmm.

I got a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. Taking care of my 80 year old Father isn’t much of a problem most of the time but he has the sweet tooth of a meth addict. It will greatly aid in the making of his “drugs”. Kneading doughs by hand when you have tendonitus in both shoulders and back problems gets a bit painful.

I am thankful for everything. Merry Christmas everyone. May the Lord bless all of you.

Speaking of the troops, the WWE “Tribute to the Troops” comes on in about half an hour on the USA network. They taped it in Baghdad a couple of weeks ago. I actually got a little misty watching it last year when they were airing from Afghanistan.
