Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Michelle has a roundup including a wonderful homily from his Holiness.

President Bush called members of the armed services yesterday to wish them a Merry Christmas.

I can say I’m glad to have received 24: Season 1 and World Trade Center on DVD. Two very good selections. What did you get?

Have an enjoyable day and a delicious Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas!!!

I’ve got a DVD of Popa Chubby in concert, and a Buck (the knife that’s it)

Merry Christmas, and a happy, prosperous, peace-filled New Year.

bigbarry2u on December 25, 2006 at 11:53 AM

I just moved back home to the island and the Christmas gift I received was spending the holiday with family, lots and lots of family. For almost 10 years, my profession did not allow me time for holidays. Now I allow myself time!

Just for the record Christmas on Guam is a BLAST! Plus I got to open gifts way before any of you! Heh heh.

geckomon on December 25, 2006 at 11:56 AM

Let’s see … our family is together on Christmas, which makes it wonderful.

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone.

I received “America Alone” by Mark Steyn (I gave three copies as gifts), a beautiful cardigan sweater (that classy sweater that was so very popular during the 1950’s & 60’s which is making a comeback), season 5 of “24″ and a rare vintage Fleetwood Mac DVD (from their heyday in the 70’s).

I feel old when vintage is tagged in the same sentence as the 70’s.

To Our Sheepdogs
Contributed by Russ Vaughn

It’s so easy to forget them there,
As we warm beside the fire,
Those spread so far out everywhere,
Those sent to man the wire.
Patrolling on the front line,
As peacefully here we bask,
Protecting what is yours and mine,
That’s their hard, dreary task.

Like sheep we are protected,
From the far off wolves of war, ..

All the kids home is the best gift!! Favorite other gifts: satellite radio for my car and some gorgeous pearls.

Merry Christmas to you and yours and Peace on Earth.

Merry, merry Christmas. I got a gift certificate for a massage, facial, hair cut, manicure and pedicure; and the complete set of Babylon 5 DVDs.

I’m one happy geek girl.

The best part was seeing how great our kids are. They’ve had their moments of getting mad at each other for toaching a special new toy, but they are full of love for each other and grateful for all their goodies.

Ummm . . . I’m assuming this website is based in the United States of America and thus is appropriate to post a Christmas photo of the President and the First Lady of the U.S.

And Merry Christmas to you too!

geckomon on December 25, 2006 at 1:02 PM

Merry Christmas everyone.

I got a nice scarf, some Hitchcock films on DVD and a bottle of Kiwi white wine. My nephew is only a few months old and was the star of our family’s Christmas.

Why I enjoy this corner of the Internet aside from the forum to debate the issues of our day is that I can do so with good people.

Merry Christmas. May the love of God, as shown through the gift of his Son, Jesus Christ, live in your heart this season and all year round.

I got a Zune, which I am getting configured as I type. Also, Seinfeld Season 7. I hope I can watch it and see Kramer as Kramer and not Michael “I’m not a racist” Richards.

Mallard T. Drake on December 25, 2006 at 2:15 PM

God bless us, every one…

I got a Dell Inspiron E1505. It came with XP on it (XP=extra problems). I’ll have to partition for Linux…

Sean M. on December 25, 2006 at 2:30 PM

After a great dinner with family yesterday, we delivered dinner and gifts to some children who wouldn’t otherwise have had a Christmas this year. Our Christmas was for ten children, ranging in age from 4 months to 11 years, living in a broken-down three-bedroom trailer.

We drove over after dark so as not to attract their neighbors’ attention. Their father met us at the door and took the food inside. We loaded his car with the toys, storybooks, clothes, diapers, and school supplies. We left three bicycles, a tricycle, and a wagon under a tarp outside the front door, then drove away as quietly as we could.

Today, as I imagine those little girls dressing their new dolls and the boys riding their new bikes and wearing their cool new baseball caps, I can’t escape the feeling that God has blessed me infinitely beyond anything I deserve.

It’s a very good Christmas.

Bugler on December 25, 2006 at 2:37 PM

We don’t do much of the gift thing around here. I was very happy to have been able to send my sister the nicest piece of pottery I’ve made thus far though. I’m just now getting to where I can make stuff that’s gift-worthy. I also got a little cash that I’m putting towards a new computer. Hopefully that will be around the end of January or so.

God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

Benaiah on December 25, 2006 at 2:39 PM

I got an xbox 360, gears of war, and Enchanted arms. Enchanted arms is going back to the store. Some very nice clothes, and a replacement for a lost cd I used to have. I also got to spend time with my kids.

It was a great Christmas.

One Angry Christian on December 25, 2006 at 2:55 PM

Merry Christmas, all.

I got a book and some kitchenware. The real gift for us was watching our daughter celebrate her first Christmas. Later, we’re having Mexican food for dinner. Turkey and ham are just boring.

Shirts from Eddie Bauer, some money to buy all the books in my Amazon shopping cart.

God bless our troops, and have a great day.

Merry Christmas to my family and Freinds. To Allahpundit and Michelle for fighting the good verbal fight. To all my right wing buddies on here for keeping our country on the right track. And finally a very warm and merry Christimas to our troops. Know you have my prayers and wishes for a safe holiday. God bless and protect you until you safely return home. We are all proud of you !

I’m happy all the kids are here this christmas. The oldest came home from college for the holidays, so we have a full set this year. Mom usually comes up from Florida for Christmas, but is spending it with my brother and his wife and her family.

I’d also like to thank MM and Allah for the great job that they do.

I wish each and every one of you a Merry Christmas and I hope the blessings of the lord are with you in the coming year.

This will be another trying year for those of us of the christian faith, and those that know what right and wrong, and good and evil are. Be strong, and do not let others that do not believe in god color your view of the greatest love known to man. And do not let those who have faith but weak knees lead you down the path of surrender…..slavery awaits at the end of that path.

quax1 on December 25, 2006 at 4:19 PM

Aahhh, the best gift? I was able to give everyone around me the things they wanted. Great Christmas. AND the PSP for my son was actually a surprise, he didn’t figure it out! YEAH.

Merry Christmas to all.

Thank you Jesus, my Lord.

Thx HA for the pic of President and First Lady, the Bush’s. At first opening I thought, how great of you to have done this for us. I do think it was deserved and appropriate.

Thank you again Jesus our Lord and SAVIOUR, Happy Birthday to you.

Joyeux Noël anyway!

Bugler on December 25, 2006 at 2:37 PM – reminded me of Charles Dickens and what Christmas should be all about. Thanks for sharing with us.

On a lighter note:

a) Why does Santa Claus have 3 gardens?
b) What does a cat on a beach have in common with Christmas?
c) What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire?
d) What does Santa clean his sleigh with?
e) How does one snowman hold up another (at gun point)?

a) So he can ho(e), ho(e), ho(e)
b) Sandy Claws
c) Frostbite
d) Comet
e) With a hair blow-dryer

Thank you to our Soldiers for keeping us free and goofy, if we so desire.

Merry Christmas to everyone, especially the men and women of the US armed forces.

Speaking of the troops, the WWE “Tribute to the Troops” comes on in about half an hour on the USA network. They taped it in Baghdad a couple of weeks ago. I actually got a little misty watching it last year when they were airing from Afghanistan.

Love, All!

Merry Christmas… (with the radio playing classic songs in the background)
Enjoy the season, and remember the reason, and keep loved ones close.

RalphyBoy on December 25, 2006 at 10:13 PM

I got a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. Taking care of my 80 year old Father isn’t much of a problem most of the time but he has the sweet tooth of a meth addict. It will greatly aid in the making of his “drugs”. Kneading doughs by hand when you have tendonitus in both shoulders and back problems gets a bit painful.

I am thankful for everything. Merry Christmas everyone. May the Lord bless all of you.

GoodBoy on December 25, 2006 at 10:54 PM

I got new socks, underwear, and t-shirts (same as the last few years). Saves me having to go shopping for that stuff.
And, “one doesn’t want to be involved in a car wreck with dirty, holie underwear” (as my mom used to say).
I bought my wife two pair of SAS shoes (her favorite for comfort) and for me, I bought myself a new George Foreman grill with the detachable grill plates and a box of Allen Brothers beef and wieners…..mmmmm.

gary on December 26, 2006 at 4:55 AM

Buglar, thank you for sharing your story, giving to others, THAT is what Christmas is all about.

Merry Christmas to all.

My daughter home from college, in-laws in town, and a perfect SoCal day are gift enough considering the places I’ve had to spend Christmas in the past. A year filled with God’s blessings, sprinkled with a bit of prosperity, and opportunities to share the same with others.

In agreement with Bugler, the best gift is always the one you give. Except, that is, for the greatest Gift, the Savior. More than fifty people’s names have been added to the Lamb’s book of life at our church this December. Those people will experience Christmas in a different way from now on, and I want to shout God’s glory every time I think about it.

What’s fascinating to me is the degree to which the mainstream media has so attempted to delegitimize/delete the idea of President Bush as the U.S. President that his image is no longer even supposed to mean what it says.

Display his picture, and you can’t possibly be intending to show a straightforward picture of the President; “obviously” you must have something else in mind.

Oh, and happy holidays!

And Joyeux Noël Holidays to you, in France the land of le weekend, le ketchup and le French fry!
