Zawahiri to Democrats: You owe us

posted at 3:57 pm on December 22, 2006 by Allahpundit

This sounds familiar.

Zawahri says he has two messages for American Democrats.

“The first is that you aren’t the ones who won the midterm elections, nor are the Republicans the ones who lost. Rather, the Mujahideen — the Muslim Ummah’s vanguard in Afghanistan and Iraq — are the ones who won, and the American forces and their Crusader allies are the ones who lost,” Zawahri said, according to a full transcript obtained by ABC News.

Zawahri calls on the Democrats to negotiate with him and Osama bin Laden, not others in the Islamic world who Zawahri says cannot help.

“John Kerry immediately booked a flight to Islamabad,” says Ace, who wants to know why AQ is hot for us to pull out if our presence in Iraq is, per leftist dogma, such a powerful recruiting tool for jihad. Possible answer: because being perceived as having defeated America would be an even bigger recruiting bonanza. Another possible answer: because they expect a surge in U.S. troops and know things are about to get tough(er) for them, so they’re trying to sweeten the pot re: withdrawal. Yet another possible answer: they fear the Shiites’ rising prestige and want to cast themselves as the real seat of power in the country. And yet another possible answer: it’s just more empty propaganda designed to drive a wedge between the American left and right. Pick your poison.

Another example of actions and words having consequences….. you think all the anti-Bush rhetoric out of the Democrats and MSM over the past three years has anything to do with Zawahiri’s bravado??? What say you Mr. Kerry? Mr. Kennedy? Mz. Clinton? Mr. Dean?…… anyone???

(crickets chirping)
(somewhere off in the distance……. a lonly dog barks)

And now that the Democrats have won, how are you going to turn off all of the anti-American hated you have stirred up with your lies and misrepresentations? Mz. Pelosi? Mr. Durbin? Mr. Reid?

(more crickets chirping)

Be careful of what you ask for Dems, it appears to me you are about to get it!

Wedge? No. This message will mkae the effort to not fail in Iraq all the more bipartisan.

This for AQ is a dumb play. This makes it impossible for the Dems to pull out without looking like weak, impotent failures. This kind of statement draws the patriotism out of pro America Dems, and makes their newly elected leadership even les likely to leave Iraq without a clear “victory” (whatever victory means). This only solidifes American resolve. We hate being there, but we hate losing even more.

The CIA-sponsored simulation predicts that al Qaeda will view a U.S. defeat in Iraq as another jihadist victory over a superpower and one that will bring it even more terrorist recruits. “When we did the simulation, the ramifications were enormous,” said the source, who asked not to be named. The source said al Qaeda will proclaim, “God has given us a second victory over a superpower.”

They’re just now figuring out al Qaeda breeds followers with “biblical” victories over superpowers? JUST NOW FIGURING THIS OUT??? Please, someone tell me the CIA is not just now figuring this out!

Most people exchange gifts at Christmas, but I’ll make an exception in Zawahri’s case. Here’s my Christmas message for him:

We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France Iraq, we shall fight on the seas and oceans as well as in the Middle East, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air heavens using our satellite technology, our smart bombs, and our predator drones, we shall defend our Island Western Civilization, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches sand dunes, we shall fight on the landing grounds at the Baghdad airport, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets of Fallujah, we shall fight in the hills remote Afghan mountain caves; we shall never surrender, and even if, which I do not for a moment believe, this Island our way of life or a large part of it were subjugated in dhimmitude and starving yearning to be free, then our Empire beyond boomer submarines underneath the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet with their ICBMs, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World Lord Himself, with all its His power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old us all.”

Damn. I’m almost as good at editing out the original message as the MSM is. And no, I won’t apologize for plagarism of Winston Churchill’s speeches — they updated the Archie comic books didn’t they? That’s all this is — a simple update for modern times.

Redwinged…hey now…the Democrats are in power…and we’re going to need to make sure that we first try him in the proper US court, so that his appeal can reach the 13th circuit. Then we need to make sure that in fact that is Zawahiri, and not Rove trying to frame an innocent person. Then we make sure he gets his three squares, prayer rug, and high def al-Jazeera so he can keep in touch. Wouldn’t want him to be uncomfortable while he drafts the motion abouth how his basic human rights are being ignored.

Well Democrats? What’s your answer? YOUR terrorist allies are waiting….

And if you are confused about what I’m talking about, here’s something to refresh your memory…

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. [Marcus Tullius Cicero]

Nope, irishsquid get offended as a bad way to set a precedence in fighting a war….

Tim Burton on December 23, 2006 at 4:47 PM

This war can not be fought like WWII, or like most other wars in history. The jihadists are not fighting for a nation or a king or a president, they’re fighting for a cause, one of the most dangerous causes known to mankind. They do not follow a particular leader, they follow whom so ever speaks for them at any particular time. They do not want to dominate, they want to destroy. They are trying to bring upon us Armageddon, so that they may all enter paradise and leave the world they so despise. They want the world to end and all of mankind to perish, and they are willing to do anything to bring that about. That is why they are so dangerous, and why me must continue to oppose them.

A war of this type is going to be very long and very costly, but the alternative is too horrible to even consider. I don’t understand why more people are unwilling to accept this and why they are so willing to just look away and let people like that continue to cause pain and suffering all over the world. Is our lack of understanding that wide spread, or are to many people afraid to consider the consequences of failing to oppose this genocidal war the jihadists are waging on the entire world?

This world and the people that inhabit it are far to precious to abandon to genocidal madmen whos soul desire is to conquer and destroy all of mankind. We must do everything within our power to stop them. Anything less is suicide.

First your understanding of right brain/left brain is psycho babble. The real difference is in how information is processed, one being a sucession model, the other being a simultaneous model. Secondary difference (less documented) is that right brain people tend toward creativity and imagination in problem solving, left brain more toward logic and reason. People who are too much one or the other tend to have severe learning problems as the styles are complementary.

Second re my comment on nuking Muslims. Do you read this blog? Take a little walk thru some of these threads–oh let suggest the ones talking about Ellison, then get back to me on this.

Jazzman, a “good muslim” is one who murders infidels. Most muslims do not murder infidels, but they are apostates, not true believers. With islam, ya gotta take the “good religious boy” chart and flip it upside down. A “Good” muslim, meaning a “true practioner of the faith” is a jihadi.

You are spot on, my friend. I can see that you have an appreciation for the humorous irony of liberal dogma. Liberal dogma is one of my favorite forms of humor –and the liberals keep me laughing all of the time. How about this one? Many of the left-wing tinfoils hats are atheists that subscribe to Darwinism. That in itself is hilarious. If they had actually studied the theory of natural selection (survival of the fittest, and all), they’d know that their own belief system is one of the world’s worst survival strategies, and that they are plunging head-long toward mass extinction. The irony just doesn’t get any better than that.

CyberCipher on December 23, 2006 at 6:08 PM

Honora, you’re making my point very well, thank you.

Do you not see it? You’re asking me (emotionally) if we “wanna liberate jihadis?”. Knowing full well that’s B.S. Think. I know it’s hard, but try. Use the left side of your brain now. Read this and understand: We want to KILL jihadis *before they kill us*. Get it? Not all muslims are jihadis. That’s why we don’t wanna just nuke the whole middle east and you already know that so don’t waste my time playing word games. You know damn well the difference between freeing the masses from taliban or Ba’athist oppression and killing taliban/AQ/Hamas jihadis and if you’re NOT pretending then you’re so freakin’ smart that you push the door that says ‘Pull to Open’ as you enter the Liberal Arts Academy “School for the Gifted Right Brain Artisans.” In other words, book smart, no common sense.

Intellectually lazy. CapitalistInfidel just hit the nail on the head. It’s easier just to say “I am anti-war!” than it is to actually think through the situation. Choice A: Defend our country against those who wish to destroy it, or Choice B: Bury my head in the sand, close my eyes, stick my fingers in my ears and say ‘LALALALA I can’t hear you’ and it’ll all just go away. Always whining about our self defense policies, never saying how we SHOULD defend ourselves. But they can write a script though, can’t they? They can act, they can sing, they can dance. Other than that, they’re useless.

Tony737 on December 23, 2006 at 6:10 PM

Honora,

We actually ARE winning, but I doubt you realize that. Every time we liberate another country from despots and tyrants, we strike a blow to those that rule by terror.

I know you believe that Iraq and Afghanistan are actually losses, but that’s two countries that are now able to choose a form of government. They are fledgling democracies and we should support and defend those democracies as we defend and support other democracies around the world.

Iraq and Afghanistan are not failures, not as long as we are willing and able to support them. If we abandon them, they we will have loss and that is not acceptable to me and to others.

RedinBlueCounty on December 23, 2006 at 6:31 PM

Tony737 on December 23, 2006 at 6:37 PM

Liberals (aka progressives) don’t want democracies, for that implies a government controlled by the citizens and they want the citizens to be completely controlled by the government. Liberals are more inclined to an imperial form of government, tho they will never admit that.

honora on December 23, 2006 at 2:41 PM

Most of the “nuke’em till they glow” comments posted here at HA that would qualify (according to your criteria) as offensive can be dismissed easily as either “therapeutic venting” or as “insincere hyperbole.” There have been other comments along those lines that were conditionally qualified in one way or another. I posted some of those comments myself. AllahPundit keeps a pretty close watch on it and he quickly issues a slap-down when the “frothing at the mouth” starts to get out of line.

All-in-all there is no shortage of offensive material here at HA. Life itself is offensive. Get used to it. I don’t think that there is a single day that goes by what that Allah or Ian or Bryan don’t post at least one video clip or cartoon that is offensive to some of us. The difference is that most of us don’t “whine” and “bitch” and “moan” and “soil our underpants” on account of it — like you and the rest of the trolls.

By hiding in anonymity of internet, honora, you may think that you have all of us fooled, but the bitter sarcasm, the personal attacks, and the condescending language that you consistently use in all of your posts to “punish” the other participants is a dead give-away — your kind is unmistakeable. So why don’t you tell us what it is about you that you’re trying so desperately to overcompensate for.

CyberCipher on December 23, 2006 at 6:50 PM

Tell me honora, do you believe we should abandon the Iraq people and pull out our troops? Should we allow their country to descend into a civil war? Should we allow the government to fracture and fall? Should we allow the jihad to succeed and let their followers install their own tyrannical form of government? Should we allow another Saddam rise to power? Or another Taliban type government be allowed to take control? Should we give up and leave because it is simply ‘too hard’ to stay and help the Iraqi people make their own choices?

If so, what should we tell the Iraqi people? Shall we say ‘sorry people, but your not worth American lives.’ Shall we tell them ‘your not ready for a democracy and we will leave you to your own.’ Shall we tell them ‘sorry for the ensuing chaos, but your only Iraqis and not worth the effort. Good luck!’

Tell me honora, what should we do?

Honora, you’re making my point very well, thank you.

Tony737 on December 23, 2006 at 6:10 PM

Tony,
Don’t take the bait. honora is only trying to get you to blow a gasket — that is her entire goal. To her, it is immaterial and/or irrelevant if her arguments are irrational or illogical. She is only here to “impress us” with her “superior” command of the English language, and “dazzle us” with her ability to twist everyone’s arguments (including her own) into an incomprehensible pretzel. Her posts are her way of “serving notice” on us that she is “intellectually superior” to the rest of us. Her kind craves that kind of stuff — they have to have it in order to prop-up their sagging egos.

If you want a good laugh and would like to see her to “run away” in retreat (sorta’ like a Monty Python Holy Grail crusader), just start citing some relevent statistics for her to read. As soon as the numbers appear, her eyes will glaze over. I’ve never met a tin-foil hat liberal yet that had ANY grasp of simple arithmetic. I swear that most of ’em can’t even balance their own checkbook.

You’re right BlueCounty, because today’s “liberals” are not liberals at all, they’re socialists. And today’s conservatives are actually “Classic liberals”. That’s above the heads of most left wingers though. They actually think (or should I say feeeeel) that their nanny-state policies are “liberating”. Yeah, liberation from self respect, self determination, self sufficiancy and individualism. Their idea of freedom is freedom from having to work (it’s the govt’s job to provide you a paycheck, but where’s that money come from? People who WORK!) Freedom from worry (the nanny-state will solve all of your problems). Freedom without responsibility (go ahead, do it, whatever feels good man) and so on.

Ah, the classic liberal superiority complex. Conservatives are basically stupid and need to be guided by the morally and intellectually superior liberals, Conservatives have narrow vision and can not see ‘the bigger picture.’ Conservatives are self-destructive and need a firm hand to control them. Conservatives will eventually ruin the world with their inferior intelligence and amorality. Isn’t that right, honora?

Cyber, actually I enjoy debating libs, it’s fun. I don’t get mad, I get all giddy at the idea of crushing their stupid ideas. At least Honora can type up some funny comments and try to make a point. Sometimes there’s just no challenge though, like with Constantine. Haven’t seen him in a long while.

“can’t balance their own checkbook”

So right! Several of my lib coworkers who make the same money as me are living paycheck to paycheck. They make decent money and most people can get along just fine at this wage, but the libs love to spend more than they make. Then it’s “Oh, I can’t go anywhere until payday.” The rest of us (usually cons) live below our means and have a surplus.
