Merry F’n Christmas. All to all, a Merry F’n Good night!

Having owned a retail business for 5 years now, I get more tired of the holiday season every year. For me, its just weeks of “where is my order” and “its the 24th, if I order this at 8pm will it arrive on the 25th?” “I ordered this sunday night at 10pm, its monday 10am. Why hasn’t my ordered arrived yet?”

That sums up my holiday these days. :) Merry F’n Christmas everyone!

lorien1973 on December 22, 2006 at 5:17 PM

Very poor taste.

GoodBoy on December 22, 2006 at 5:18 PM

What the…They nailed SANTA to the cross?? Hey Pastor Rick. Crisis in Japan! ( that ought to keep him busy for a while)

Guardian on December 22, 2006 at 5:24 PM

So funny. =)

Dash on December 22, 2006 at 5:29 PM

Just because you can doesn’t make it a good idea. Discretion- what a concept.

Scotsman on December 22, 2006 at 5:29 PM

Most of us would expect Allah to post something like this (but Ian as well?). Do ALL of the HA administrator types have some “unresolved issues” with Christmas (and/or religion is general)? What’s the problem? Did Santa give’em a lump of coal, or somethin’?

They’d better be careful. If Bill O’Reilly finds out about this, he’ll make war on them. Hmmm. Maybe that’s what they want — an appearance on “The Factor.” Just couldn’t stand it because the boss gets all the photo ops, is that it?

CyberCipher on December 22, 2006 at 5:35 PM

Christmas is fun…relax a little, you can’t be uptight all year or your head will “asplode”….lol

Jesus wants you to have fun(within reason).

quax1 on December 22, 2006 at 5:49 PM

Cyber and everyone else,

I love Christmas just as much as the next person but that doesn’t mean I can’t laugh at something that is obviously funny and it meant to be a joke.

Ian on December 22, 2006 at 5:49 PM

Drink eggnogg, and eat beef! lol

infidel on December 22, 2006 at 6:16 PM

It is funny.

Some folks don’t know funny.

quax1 on December 22, 2006 at 6:19 PM

It is possible for things to be both funny and offensive. The two concepts aren’t mutually exclusive.

Bryan on December 22, 2006 at 6:20 PM

Huh. Good thing no one posted the first episode of South Park – Jesus vs. Santa.

Slublog on December 22, 2006 at 6:21 PM

That was F’n’ hilarious.

But there will always be the Mr. Mackey types: “Uh, fun is baaad, mmmkay?”

infidel4life on December 22, 2006 at 6:29 PM

A little irreverent but it gets the point across at a level some of the filthy F’n heathens will understand!

sonnyspats1 on December 22, 2006 at 6:58 PM

Of course God has a sense of humor.
Anyone with an eye to behold this universe, and the sense to appreciate some of the jokes He has played on us, knows this.

I think my homeboys, The Rainmakers said it well: I put ye here to love one another, and to get out and have a good time

The Monster on December 22, 2006 at 7:10 PM

Taoists, Krishnas, Buddhists, and all you atheists too,

Merry F’n’ Christmas, To You!

Merry Christmas to all Christians as well.

F15Mech on December 22, 2006 at 7:45 PM

I am all over Humor even if irreverant.. heck the most watched movie in the dorm at my Seminary was “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”. The Farting evangelist video was going across campus so fast.. VCR players were melting.. However this one crosses the line a bit.

The Dixie Chicks learned the hard way what the fan base is about.

Otherwise.. I appreciate what HotAir does and am glad to be here. Carry on my wayward son..lol

GoodBoy on December 22, 2006 at 7:47 PM

Hmmm… I must have crossed the line in linking to the unbleeped version since my comment disappeared… if so, sorry about that.

Bryan on December 22, 2006 at 6:20 PM

Not only that, I think South Park at its core relies upon people finding certain inappropriate and offensive behavior funny. What’s the saying? “Love is not easily offended”?

Kevin on December 22, 2006 at 8:01 PM

Hey, we’re all for having a little fun. But somewhere out there is a line that good and evil keep pushing back and forth between them. Whose side do you want to play up? Ideas have consequences. And over time, ever so slowly, standards and reasonable expectations change, until the day when the unthinkable is now OK. Photos can be altered for increased impact, the documents are false but the intent remains legitimate, etc. You get the idea.

Natural Born Killers was just a movie, funny, in a black sort of way. Entertainment. The Columbine killers watched it almost 100 times. But the movie wasn’t responsible for their actions, was it?

Democrats and Republicans already play by different rules, the media has its own set of rules. A hundred examples are easily cited. It’s already an interesting world where standards only work to serve those who create them for there own purposes. But hey, that’s OK. You’re OK, I’m OK, it’s all just OK. Unless it isn’t. Carry on.

Scotsman on December 22, 2006 at 8:01 PM

Christmas is a national holiday in India. Kinda cool for a country whose population is only 2.3% Christian.

Perhaps you’re giving a little too much credit to outside influences over people’s behavior. The concept that violent video games and movies cause violence is ignoring the concept of personal responsibility and morality. Right will always be right and wrong will always be wrong, it is built into the human conscience. Everyone has their own choices to make. Whether a person chooses evil or good is not necessarily a reflection of their environment, it is a window into their own heart.

Heck.. it’s the morons who ARE influenced by media that we have to worry about..undying love for Jodie Foster anyone?

GoodBoy on December 22, 2006 at 8:38 PM

Agreed, our actions are always personal choices. But you miss the point- “wrong” will not necessarily always be wrong, nor “right” right. The definitions, standards, and ultimately personal interpretations of same are fluid in today’s world. And now, more than ever, values are indeed most likely a reflection of their environment. Sharia law verses our constitution? Values are all over the map- so to speak. Now, more than ever, who are you or I to criticize? My ultimate crime is your personal redemption. Yikes!

Huston…. we have a problem.

Scotsman on December 22, 2006 at 8:47 PM

Scotsman on December 22, 2006 at 8:47 PM

I disagree completely. The ever-fluctuating values of society do not change what is ultimately right and what is ultimately wrong. There is an unchanging standard of right and wrong, given to us by God. It doesn’t change, and neither does He.

They can only be influenced negatively if their morality is already bankrupt.

Scotsman on December 22, 2006 at 8:47 PM

Scotsman,

I see where you are coming from however I have to disagree.

We are talking about a South Park video. (And if you read the lyrics the only insult is the use of the F-bomb).

As an adult I can watch this and laugh and not have any problem with it. I could send it to my brother/wife (with a content warning) so my 3-year-old nephew does not see it.

If my brother ever uses South Park as a “likely a reflection of their environment.” to raise my nephew I will be the first one to put a cap in my brothers a$@.

I think most of the posters on HA do not use ““wrong” will not necessarily always be wrong, nor “right” right.” excuse, instead they raise their children with wrong is wrong and right is right, and I certainly hope they do not use South Park to raise their family.

F15Mech on December 22, 2006 at 9:57 PM

Hey, GoodBoy, nice call! Monty Python and the Holy Grail … a true classic!

“WHAT … is your name?
WHAT … is your quest?
WHAT … is the wing volocity of a swallow?” HA!

I use that formula at work all the time!

Me: “Answer three simple trivia questions and you get a free drink! Anyone?”

Pax: “OK, I’ll do it.”

Me: “Great! Ready? What color is the White House?”

Pax: “White.”

Me: “Very good! How long did the ‘Six Day War’ last?”

“Six days.”

Me: “Correct! See how easy this is? OK, one more and ya get a free drink!

What is the distance from the Earth to the Moon … in *kilometers*?”

Pax: “Ummmmmmmm…”

Me: “NEXT?!”

I give ‘em the free drink anyway :-)

Tony737 on December 22, 2006 at 10:32 PM

While I don’t know that…AHHHHHHHHH

F15Mech on December 22, 2006 at 10:46 PM

You’re OK, I’m OK…

Scotsman on December 22, 2006 at 8:01 PM

I hated that book. Thankfully, I was able to find and read a copy of the alternative book entitled:
“I’m OK, you’re not so hot.”

CyberCipher on December 22, 2006 at 11:00 PM

That was damn funny!!!

Thanks Ian!

Talon on December 22, 2006 at 11:08 PM

Tony737, a few more for your ‘tests’”

- what time is the midnight buffet?
- how long does a 20 min. massage take?

The Earth-Moon distance ranges from 360,000 to 405,000 kilometers, depending on the position in the Moon’s orbit…

Send me a drink :) Regards,

You guys make it too easy. How about these gems? How long is a battleship true or false? or Do you walk to work or carry your lunch? A little blue collar yankee humor.

Speaking of Xmas:

The 400 or so detainees at Joint Task Force detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have received approximately 500 holiday greeting cards, said Army Col. Lora Tucker, a spokeswoman for the prison.

Everyone that sent these cards should be thoroughly investigated to determine their loyalty to the U.S.A. If they are muslim, they should join their pals in Gitmo. If they are not, they should be watched very closely.

Andy in Agoura Hills on December 23, 2006 at 1:39 AM

You’re joking, right Andy?

Patton on December 23, 2006 at 3:08 AM

Many of those cards send christmas greetings….I suspect that some good Americans are having a bit of fun with the current crop of islamocrazies at gitmo.

quax1 on December 23, 2006 at 7:33 AM

Boys and girls, open your bluebooks now.

First question:

What are the air-speeds of a fully laden-ed hummingbird flying forward and reverse. Express your answer in units of light-years per fortnight. Show all work, partial credit will be given.

You have 10 minutes…..

georgej on December 23, 2006 at 7:33 AM

Amazon should stock this “gift pak” for the poor, poor Islamofascists languishing in Gitmo.

“Dear Gitmo Prisoner,

Merry Christmas. May you find this pork jerky tasty and fulfilling. Enclosed, please find two coupons for McDonald’s biscuit and sausage breakfast sandwiches, and another for a delicious Wendy’s 1/2 pound Bacon-Cheddar double melt. Yummy!

Enjoy.”

georgej on December 23, 2006 at 7:41 AM

For some reason, it’s a lot funnier with the bleeps intact.

And if this clip offends you, do not under any circumstances see the Alcoholics Anonymous episode of South Park. If mild jabs at American Christians’ ethnocentrism crosses your threshold, the AA episode might put you into a coma.

Mark Jaquith on December 23, 2006 at 8:20 AM

Always found this to be perhaps the worst Christmas movie…ever!

Some might remember it…Santa gets kidnapped by martians…

Isn’t that Pia Zadora in that movie?? Seems like I heard it was, somewhere.

- I meant to say that would automatically qualify it for Worst Christmas Movie, just by default… LOL.

My apologies to Pia.

I friggin’ love South Park.

The Black Hawk Down Christmas adventure is one of my absolute favorites.

They may be terrorists who deserve to be there but they still have families and people who care about them. Let them have a Christmas card.
