I personally do not believe we have the leadership or the will to do what needs to be done, there are any number of reasons for me saying it as I look at the political leadership and how it ebbs and flows over the shoals of time and tides.

Those seeking a new Great Caliphate will continue to attack the Great Satan and the West, count on it, but don’t expect to be compensated for it when it touches you personally, which it eventually will, again and again.

Be prepared to exact that compensation personally, as our enemies have had years to build up their forces here on our shores and will continue to do so.

I stayed a couple buildings away from the one blown when transitting during the first Gulf War. You could cross the street and catch a taxi downtown. The buildings were solidly constructed, and anyone should have known immediately it wasn’t a ragtag bunch that blew it up. It took a bomb of the type that would suggest state sponsorship.

Bubba was busy hoping Monica wouldn’t bite, and NEVER ONCE gave a damn about any poor schmuck blown up half way around the world.

Iran OWES us for the US Embassy and the 444 days of captivity. AND they owe us for Khobar Towers. Big time.

Glad your brother-in-law made it thru. From talking to the members of my squadrons ADVON team (they where still in the Khobar hotel building) it was nuts that night.

When I arrived my squadron was put up in the British and French side of Khobar since many buildings on the US side (not just #131) were damaged and more then building #131 was condemned.

Actually that is not true. Clinton caved to the Saudi’s.

Prior to the attack the parking lot; where they parked the truck; had been identified as being to close to the buildings and it was requested to the Saudi’s that the perimeter be extended in case of such an attack.

The Saudi government said no, and that was that.

I arrived at Khobar on the 26th of June to relive the F-15s/ crews from Eglin. If things had worked out as planned originally, my squadron would have been asleep in building 131.

You’re also assuming that Sunni jihadis wouldn’t work with Shiites to fight a common enemy.

I make no such assumption. However, they are just as liable to kill each other as to kill us. It makes me wonder if there are any Wahhabi organizations in Iran with ties to Saudi Arabia. Could this be a new type of warfare? With terrorists used like privateers in proxy wars?

Which also maybe why Zawahiri is so big on basing Israel lately. Al Queda hasnt been big on worrying about Israel other than I believe to get Shiia approval.
