The wing thing looks cool. You can have a non-stop flight across the US and people just drop out of the plane, add a few rockets for stabilization. Perhaps the wing thing can be used for tall buildings, if there is a fire people can glide a little till they get away from the scene, even for a least experience person, better to break an ankle than go down.

If you like #2 and Heinlein's "Starship Troopers", you might enjoy the sci-fi novel "Armor" by John Steakley. Here's the wikipedia cliff's notes. I was given a copy of it right before finals one semester at college, nearly cost me my GPA.

C.A.D.S. by John Sievert
Acronym for Computerized Attack and Defense System.
Sievert authored a series of mens action novels late 80s early 90s about a military unit wearing these eight foot tall mobile suits to defend the United States from a Christmas Day nuclear attack from the Soviet Union.

Combine the exoskeleton, the liquid armor, the gun with the video camera, and the personal wing instead of a drop capsule, the clothing that keeps track of your vitals (so your commander can check on you remotely) and you’re damned close to Mobile Infantry. Still need the smart missiles and the jump jets though.
