Video: Trump and Rosie go nuclear on each other

There’s no rooting interest here. It’s the equivalent of a Saudi-Iranian standoff: all you’re hoping for is heavy casualties.

And it looks like that’s what we’re going to get. First, Rosie…

…and now the Donald, who actually threatens to send a woman to steal her girlfriend away. Awesome.

Hilarious…. And weird.

RightWinged on December 20, 2006 at 9:51 PM

Best entertainment I’ve had all week.

Jay on December 20, 2006 at 9:57 PM

Unlike AllahP, I will choose a side.

The Donald. Without hesitation. Go with G-d, my son.

Good Lt on December 20, 2006 at 9:59 PM

Holy Sheesta that was funny.

Opinionnation on December 20, 2006 at 10:02 PM

They deserve each other.

Attila (Pillage Idiot) on December 20, 2006 at 10:05 PM

I don’t like either…but I’d pick Trump over Rosie O’Donut in a heartbeat.

tickleddragon on December 20, 2006 at 10:05 PM

That fat slob looks like she’s trying to inhale the planet.

Sure, Trump may be annoying. And that hair is too much to bear. But I’d take him in a nanosecond over that thing. He at least has contributed to society. And she’s pretty easy on the eyes.

JammieWearingFool on December 20, 2006 at 10:09 PM

Funny stuff…I agree, I don’t like either one much, but what the heck is the Donald suing Rosie for? If stupidity were a litigious offense, think of how more far backed up the court system would be…

JetBoy on December 20, 2006 at 10:11 PM

Whoa, decent tremor here in SF, is Rosie in town?

bbz123 on December 20, 2006 at 10:14 PM

This stuff is golden in the absence of any conservative leadership in the country. Those 5 hours of hell a week recording The Spew have finally paid off.

Valiant on December 20, 2006 at 10:15 PM

Maybe he’s suing her because she accused him of having affairs? I have no clue if he did or not (and don’t really care).

jeannedb on December 20, 2006 at 10:16 PM

Wow. The Donald was not amused.

How many times did he call Rosie “unattractive inside and out” in that 3 minute segment, anyway?

gatewaypundit on December 20, 2006 at 10:16 PM

Trump could ruin her career. Kinda hope I don’t see much of her anymore. Or ANY of her for that matter. Too much of her as it is.

Ya know what also? Trump was right. On everything I heard him say about the blowhard rosie.

I question the timing.

Someone here earlier said that Rosie looks like a blow-up doll. That’s so true. Look at that pic!

Forget Rosie. We’ve got more hot Miss USA action going on. And it isn’t Tara Conner.

Viewer discretion advised.

JammieWearingFool on December 20, 2006 at 10:32 PM

That is the first time I actually laughed with Rosie and not at her…

10 to 1 in favor of Trump maybe? 5 billion dollars can buy A LOT of legal services, ya’ know.

CyberCipher on December 20, 2006 at 10:57 PM

all you’re hoping for is heavy casualties.

Well, I’m hoping for a little more on Rosie’s side. I think Trump just has that reserved yet fiery Christopher Walken quality in his video rebuttal. Much more fun to watch than a bitter burned out lesbian.

Mark V. on December 20, 2006 at 10:59 PM

Rosie….you’re fired!

infidel on December 20, 2006 at 11:06 PM

Wow JammieWearingFool, good find! I knew there was a reason I liked living near Tampa.

As for the Donald, as much of a funny-haired arrogant prick as he is, he’s often right…as he was with both Tara and Rosie. Marketing genius! I hope he can stuff a sock in Rosie’s mouth.

As for Tara Conner, here’s a quiz…how many other Miss USA’s can you name? How many Miss America’s can you name OTHER than Vanessa Williams? I’m guessing one to none.

I bet we’ll see more of Tara, a lot more. After all, check out dethroned Miss America Vanessa William’s IMDB resume: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001853/

JammieWearingFool on December 20, 2006 at 10:32 PM

Don’t ya’ just LOVE how the pageant contestants project SUCH a wholesome image these days? Should we all anticipate the release of a new rap video featuring these gals? After all, “Dem b*tches be h*es.”

CyberCipher on December 20, 2006 at 11:09 PM

I guess I’m in the minority here.

It makes for good TV and gossip, but the crap that Trump is saying is completely inappropriate. It was similar crap that he spewed at Martha Stewart. Do you hear Rupert Murdoch or Ted Turner ever doing something like that?

Rosie’s small potatoes and not worth his time. He could have been a helluva lot more classified and dignified for someone of his status.

And Rosie may not be 100% right, but Trump did screw over a lot of his creditors in terms of reorganizing when he had troubles with his casinos in Atlantic City. And I’m pretty sure I remember that his Daddy had to bail him out with a loan during that time as well. Hey…nothing wrong with your Dad helping you out…just don’t constantly talk about what a great guy you are every single second of every single day.

asc85 on December 20, 2006 at 11:15 PM

I agree, no contest — Trump: Take that fat beyatch DOWN!!!

rmgraha on December 20, 2006 at 11:23 PM

From the article about Trump:

Donald has been a friend of “The View” for many years and Rosie, of course, is our enormously popular moderator.

Enormously? Yeah…pretty much. Oh and by the way, she’s the moderator. Yikes!

Right Tracker on December 20, 2006 at 11:24 PM

…threatens to send a woman…

AP

Uh…I think he said “a friend”, AP. And if his “friend” came with his d*ck in a box, this could turn very ugly, indeed.

Jaibones on December 20, 2006 at 11:51 PM

asc85, I don’t know about Rupert, but I was in Atlanta for 20 years as Ted Turner was on the rise. I’ve heard him trash plenty of people. (Sorry, that was before this web thing, and I gots no linx)

And don’t you remember recently that Ted said he hadn’t decided which side he was on?! No surprise he’s on a buffalo ranch, because he’s full of shit. Anti-American, UN-loving, terrorist-appeasing Ted Turner can go to hell. Even Hanoi Jane couldn’t stand him!

This story line sucks.

Talon on December 21, 2006 at 12:06 AM

Can’t they both lose? Please?

Patton on December 21, 2006 at 12:07 AM

This is strangely weird. However, I and others on this blog have predicted Rosie will not last much longer on the View. I’ve seen predictions of her departure in February. That’s a pretty good estimate. As I predict, she will depart and end up in some rehab situation. Barbara Walters will appear on O’Reilly defending the decision to hire Rosie and explaining her departure in politically correct terms. I’ll say it again: if they need a token lesbian on the set, bring on Ellen. At least people like her.

thedecider on December 21, 2006 at 12:09 AM

Brutal… and juicy. It’s brutally juicy!

Perhaps instead of a lawsuit we will see hear they settled their differences in the wrestling ring… the mud wrestling ring.

CliffHanger on December 21, 2006 at 12:10 AM

C’mon people. We need a Rosie vs “The Don” conflict to take our mind off the GWOT.

CliffHanger on December 21, 2006 at 12:12 AM

How indescribably weird:

A) I agree with Rosie. Donald Trump, Arbiter of Public Morals, is a very strange concept.

B) Threatening to send a friend to bag Rosie’s girlfriend? I’m trying to picture that scenario and even my fertile imagination comes up short.

“Yeah, uh, you’re Kelli Carpenter, right? Listen, my name’s Tony and … uh, The Donald sent me. So, you want we should go get lunch or something sometime?”

I am not denying that Kelli Carpenter could possibly be suppressing hidden heterosexual urges. Or that she might someday break up with Rosie. What I’m having trouble imagining is Kellie breaking up with Rosie as part of some kind of Trump-orchestrated revenge scenario.

But maybe I underestimate Trump. Or overestimate Kelli.

Ali-Bubba on December 21, 2006 at 12:12 AM

It wouldn’t surprise me at all if this whole thing: the rumours about the crack use, the ’second chance’ (I heard the Donald is developing a show about second chances), Rosie firing at him, and him firing back, are all publicity stunts. Both of these people crave publicity, and neither one is worth my time.

dalewalt on December 21, 2006 at 12:15 AM

Ali, I think Trump meant he’d send a female friend.

dalewalt on December 21, 2006 at 12:16 AM

Ali, I think Trump meant he’d send a female friend.

OK, my objection still works that way:
Yeah, uh, you’re Kelli Carpenter, right? Listen, my name’s TonyTanya and … uh, The Donald sent me. So, you want we should go get lunch or something sometime?”
Under what circumstance is it plausible that the Trump-instigated revenge breakup would work? I’m just not seeing that. Even if the bait was a really hot lipstick lesbian, I can’t see somebody playing into Trump’s hands like that. But I might be naive.

Ali-Bubba on December 21, 2006 at 12:22 AM

There should have been a strike-through on “Tony”:
“Yeah, uh, you’re Kelli Carpenter, right? Listen, my name’s TonyTanya and … uh, The Donald sent me. So, you want we should go get lunch or something sometime?”

Ali-Bubba on December 21, 2006 at 12:24 AM

That was Great!!Thank You Donald!!

jeglinas on December 21, 2006 at 12:39 AM

If you can’t say sumthin nice, don’t say nuthin at all …

What can I say nice about Donald …?

Well, I think he knows a pretty girl when he sees one, I think that is good. He might give you a second chance too.

Now what can I say nice about Rosie …?

Hmmm. I guess I could use a little help here.

USA, all the way!

ValhallaMike on December 21, 2006 at 12:41 AM

While I don’t have much affinity for the Donald, I do hope he rakes Rosie the Troll over white hot coals. And if Bawba WaWa and Joyentah Behar comes to Rosie’s aid, I hope he rakes those crusty old hags over the coals too. I truly do. THAT would be a Springer show worth watching!

liquidflorian on December 21, 2006 at 4:22 AM

“Maybe he’s suing her because she accused him of having affairs?”

Rosie committed what lawyers committed defamation per se by alleging he had affairs.

Now New York Times Co. v. Sullivan makes it harder for celebrities to sue. Trump would have to prove that the comments were deliberately malicious and in total disregard of the truth. So I’m not sure if this is the cause of action or not.

He could make Walter’s life and the show continued future difficult depending on his relationships with the appropriate Disney executives. Frankly, if somebody worth $5 Billion were to call me up and ask me for a “favor,” I’d seriously consider granting it if it didn’t involve breaking the law.

Nevertheless, I intend to watch Rosie trip over her intestines as Trump publicly eviscerates her.

Heh. I don’t like either one of them, but my money is on Donald. I’m about to go to the doctor’s office where The View is always on. Pray for me.

Ellen on December 21, 2006 at 7:53 AM

Too bad the video didn’t even have Trump’s BEST sound bite in this fracas from his People Mag chat:

I look forward to taking lots of money from my nice fat little Rosie.

Don’t know if he actually will make any money from a law suit, but I’m rooting for Trump. At least, he has made some tangible contributions to society in the form of building some skyscrapers, Wollman Rink and other real estate developments.

What has RO contributed to society? Aside from putting her unattractive foot in her unattractive mouth spewing offense, what has she done which has ever positively affected anyone’s life?

Trump is right: As unattractive as RO is on the outside, she IS MORE unattractive on the inside.

Too bad, we even pay attention to her so that network executives can justify hiring and re-hiring her.

Don’t overlook the charge that Rosie made regarding bankruptcy and not paying debtors, stiffing his creditors, tc. Makes it difficult to do business when someone is calling you a con man. She will be begging for mercy within 10 days, total retraction.

right2bright on December 21, 2006 at 8:52 AM

About time someone called her on shooting off the stupid hole underneath her nose. I wish he was the producer of that show so he could walk out on a live show and say his little catch phrase.

jdsmith0021 on December 21, 2006 at 8:53 AM

Wow. It isn’t to say that I’m a fan of either person, but you don’t have to be a fan to know who’s getting murdered (figuratively, I’m not advocating murder) in this little war.

She insults his hair.
He calls her ugly “inside and out” (several times).

She says he went bankrupt.
He denies it and speaks of her legal trouble, which will include a very intimidating law suit.

She talks of his marital problems.
He threatens to have someone “take” her girlfriend.

She’s got some power.
He’s, well, is there really any comparison?

I can’t help but cheer on Trump just for the sheer joy of seeing her be held accountable for the things she says on there. And because she is just out-matched on this one.

Esthier on December 21, 2006 at 8:55 AM

Both of them have egos that are so big it’s sickening. Rosie’s ego is consistent with her body and her mouth, just as Donald’s ego matches his bank account(s).But if I had to vote, Donald would get my vote over Rosie. Although I admit I did laugh when Rosie did the thing with Donald’s hair. OK, I only chuckled.

vcferlita on December 21, 2006 at 8:55 AM

areseaoh on December 21, 2006 at 9:16 AM

He said what we all want to say to Rosie. I might be a bad person to say this, but it felt good to hear SOMEONE say that to her.

CrimsonFisted on December 21, 2006 at 9:18 AM

Rosie’s making fun of Trump for bankruptcies? How did her little magazine project turn out again?

And Trump wasn’t the arbiter of morality. If he had said Tara Conner was dethroned because of her bad morals, then Rosie would have had a point. What he did was give her a second chance and explicitly decline to impose a moral judgment on her actions.

Dudley Smith on December 21, 2006 at 10:19 AM

I can’t say that there’s no rooting interest on this one. I’ll analyze…

Rosie said some harsh things that, oops, are factually inaccurate. The lighter fluid onto this fire is the venue on which she said them, an unsubstantive but popular TV show. She even said that she’d get sued for what she was going to say and then, duh, went ahead and said it anyway.

The Donald returns fire with, by my judgement, even harsher invective on a similar venue. The difference? The evidence he cited is all based in fact or otherwise can’t be disproven. I have no doubt that his legal team went over every single word with him before the interview. If Rosie were to countersue, I’d love for her to try to establish as fact that she isn’t ugly.

Uh, Rosie, you set your own trap, and you walked right into it. Way to go. If anything, Trump could use your own words as evidence against you. Trump is no moral beacon himself, but I’ll be cheering for him in this fight. In the fight of big mouth versus big brain, big brain gets my vote.

Two more Miss Americas:

Evelyn Ay (1954) - She was from my county in PA. I was very small but each year at pageant time the local media would interview her for her ‘expertise’.

Gretchen Carlson from Fox and Friends - only know this because F&F mentioned it when they were discussing this story.

Does anyone know this? Was Patsy Ramsey a Miss America or was she a runner-up?

I don’t want to talk about Tokyo Rosie anymore. Let’s talk about Miss America 2003 (Erika Harold). She’s Ms. February on my 2006 Clare Boothe Luce calendar. Sigh! (BTW, the boss was Ms. September 2006.) Can’t WAIT to get my 2007 calendar.

I am no fan of Donald Trump but I think he was right on when she said Rosie was ignorant and unattractive, both inside and out.

Looks like I am not only the one who thinks Rosie O’Donnel is one of the most ugly, ignorant, stupid, crude and vulgar “women” I have had the displeasure of seeing. I hope that her days of public exposure are short and limited.

I would find it very amusing to see if O’Donnel’s girlfriend actually did dump her for a handsome, wealthy, cultured, man who had good taste.
