Of course Bruce also worked with Richard Linklater in Fast Food Nation and mentioned that he’d watched Loose Change, and had changed his mind about a lot of things

Bruce got back to me this morning saying the press has misconstrued his statements and that this is untrue. Bruce said in part, “…the Linklater statements have been completely misconstrued, as usual by the media.”

[I]t’s clear that some media are just attaching Bruce’s name to gain traction. I will not talk about private communications so will keep this very brief by saying I know Bruce’s support for the troops is ongoing and, if anything, increasing. Bruce does not believe this conspiracy theory.

A few days ago I was channel surfing and clicked upon what turned out to be the last minute of some Bruce Willis movie I had never seen. He was apparently a US Soldier/terrorist who Denzel Washington just convinced to release his hostages. As the joyous music played the hostages ran, in dramatic slow motion, for freedom, many wearing funny Muslim headgear. I had to laugh.

They are us, we are them, Bush is the terrorist.

I won’t give my money to this crap.

The turbaned guys are evidently extinct or invisible to the Hollywood red velvet crowd.

F them.

Live Free or Die Hard will be a “must see” for me next summer. The original is my favorite “Christmas” movie.

Takes me back it does, I was 8 years old, and the original was the first R Rated movie my parents let me watch in the theatres. I watched it again recently, and it still holds up as an awesome action movie.

Rocky 6, Rambo 4, what state will Stallone be Gov of? Pa? Probably thinks Philly is the capitol. No Sly, it’s the capitol of CHEESE STEAKS! And Tastykakes and scrapple and soft pretzels and … man, I’m homesick!

Off topic, but speakin’ of gold stars, I had a few Gold Star Moms/Wives on my flight today, going to a convention in L.A. I had to keep the conversation with them brief ’cause my eyes were wellin’ up on me. God bless our Troops and their families.
