Video: Appeasementmania!

She’s phoning it in a little on this one but the music more than atones. Plus, it’s Friday. I’m running on fumes myself.
I’ve got one or two more substantive posts in the tank, but after that we might be riding YouTube and viral video straight into Saturday. Prepare yourself.

She’s phoning it in a little? No way. She made the point and made it well.

Well, she may be phoning it it, but it still hits the target in the center.
Hmmm. Roosevelt. Democrat. Victory. No appeasment. Freedom. Liberty.
I knew there was a reason I used to be one.

Maybe AP lowered my expectations enough, but I liked the piece…certainly more than all the Rosie clips!

For “phoning it in”, she sure did an effective job of driving the point home. She gets bonus points from me for using a speech from one of the left’s icons to highlight their own instincts of appeasement (along with the same of James Baker and the other “realists”).

Oh, I liked it too. Like I said, the music was funny. I’m just teasing her for using someone else’s words as the script.

I have nothing to say, and I’ll only say it once.

Target….Cease Fire.
As MCH read FDR’s speech all I could think about was “Those that fail to learn from history are bound to repeat it.”
On a side note……I wish the Viking receivers could get as open as MCH was in that opening shot.

Cant beat Ham during Festivus.

A very strong collage of appeaser shots, and well composed for off-the-cuff.
I haven’t the energy to hunt down the full transcript, but did FDR attribute any of the quotes he borrowed in that speech? It’s out of scope of MKH’s piece for her to care about that, but I heard at least two bits in there that were from Franklin and Jefferson.
While such a photo would remind us to be careful who we trust, I don’t think it quite fits in a piece on appeasement. At the time, we were allies against a common enemy. If Stalin had been the aggressor, then a pic of him and FDR would be appropriate in this HamNation.

Love it. Love her. Even with those confounded push transitions. :)

Hey Donkey Party… like power? Wanna win elections with 70% of the popular vote? Find more people with backbones like FDR’s. While I think his big government economics weren’t necessarily the greatest of ideas, he surely was the right president at the right time for us when it came to squashing what was the worst evil the world had known.
As for MKH, maybe she phoned it in a little, but she did so with a highly worthy text.

I have watched Mary Katherine Ham in these video clips for a few months now. I don’t know much about her. I read her blog from time to time and also her commentaries, found at Town Hall dot com.
Nevertheless, I have noticed that her method of delivery is not so impressive. Her phrasing is difficult to follow, especially compared to some like Michelle Malkin, Larry Elder, and others.
Mary Katherine Ham presents is a somewhat flat delivery style, a monotone delivery when she speaks. This makes it a bit difficult to keep track of her speeches as certain words run together in phrasing and tone, with little to no inflection added for emphasis.
With that said, I have enjoyed her commentaries and some of her video clips. Some clips have been humorous – in fact, she appears to wax humorous as a matter of style, which is fun, and she tends to weave humor into even the most serious of topics.
Nevertheless, that is what makes horse races, and that is what makes Mary Katherine Ham who she is, and Michelle who she is, and Larry Elder who she is, and so on.
In other words, I might think that MKH’s speaking style is not the most skilled, I would not recommend she change, for that is who she is, that is her style, and that is what makes her uniquely MKH.

Ham’s points are on target and she’s incredibly sexy. (Is that wrong to say?)

FDR said it well and MKH delivered it well in this videoblog as what FDR said then applies today as well with modern appeasers.
Yakko77 on December 15, 2006 at 4:16 PM
Well done, MK, as usual.
