Hard to believe that parents actually used to tell their children that they could grow up to become president someday.

Now parents tell their children that they want them to become successful, honest, and have a steady job – sort of leaves out president, doesn’t it?

Most Hoosiers recall Evan Bayh as being a fairly decent governor. Lately, he has been getting his leftist creditials in order. I assumed this to be in order to compete in the Democratic Primary. However he probably figured out that he hasn’t done anything crazy enough yet to get the nomination.

In all likelyhood, he would have been another Clinton, minus the dirty stuff.

He did a decent job as governor, in my memory, and he’s not a bad guy or a total moonbat. He would have been much more acceptable than the others still running, so I am a little bummed by this, especially since I cynically doubt any Republican will win next time around.

Bayh was ok, certainly better than Hillary, Kerry, Gore or that lot. Having said that I wouldnt have voted for him unless the Republicans lose their minds and field someone like Jerry Falwell or something =P.

I’m glad that Bayh won’t be running. The guy runs a good race [for a liberal] and would have been problematic for the Republican nominees.

I support the Hitlary/Osama ticket. It will make the debates worth wattching as they will be a disaster against anyone except for McCain.

You’ve got it almost right man! Watch everybody but the witch drop out one at a time (including Osama Yo’ Mama). They will drop out or they may find themselves dead in the park. Don’t forget the FBI files she and Billy accumulated during their first few days in office. She will be nominated without ever subjecting herself to any serious debates or questioning. Oh – she will appear on the Larry King show, Meet The Press and The Today Show where the hosts will be peeing in their pants with their softball questions which her staff has provided beforehand. This woman is evil!!

Its due to insider stuff. The big backers of the Democrats already have picked their horses. Bayh probably got told he wouldnt get the kind of big backing you need to run for the white house. his Dad ran for President in 1976 so would know some of the mojo needed to win.

Same reason Hilary didnt run in 2004. She didnt have the big wigs behind her. She is firming the mover and shakers up now. Bayh is smart enough to know he cant win without them

Kocinivich however is too stupid to even know he is a hopeless loser.

Um, who? And the election is nearly two years away! Why the devil do we care? Everyone’s laying odds on Obama or Clinton for the Dems, Giuliani/Romney/McCain for the Repubs. When these political also-rans drop out of a race that by all rights shouldn’t start for another YEAR or more, WHY DO WE CARE?

Now, if it had been someone colorful, like the deranged REVEREND Sharpton or (God forbid) Charlie Rangel, then perhaps the auto wreck syndrome would demand our attention (you know the one, where you can’t turn away from the auto wreck precisely because it IS so awful).
