Kudos, Michelle and Robert. I’m going to buy the book now. I think every point made about this issue makes sense. Knowing the truth goes a long way to understanding the danger. Thank you Robert for your work. I hope it makes a difference in the time to come.

Great interview series. I just finished reading the book a day or two ago, and Mr. Spencer’s recommendations at the end are on target, especially the recommendation to launch a “Manhattan Project”-style effort to develop alternative energy sources.

It might help if our “leaders” (such as they are) start pounding on Islamism as the political-military movement it really is.

flipflop on December 13, 2006 at 9:36 AM

Absolutely terrific information. Spencer and Malkin need to keep hammering away at the folks on left and (unfortunately) the right who remain in denial about militant Islam’s convert or die approach to life.

Keep SOUNDING THE ALARM!

doufree on December 13, 2006 at 9:43 AM

Thank you!!!!!

I hope this book will become required reading material for our leaders. Perhaps then they will be able to pull their heads out of the Arabian sand.

I know that Allahpundit or anyone else there looks down on this so won’t toot their own horn but HotAir is in a very close battle for a Weblog Award in the best Video Blog category and you can vote here everyday. It might be too late but who knows!

My podcast, Shire Network News, is also in the Best Podcast category here, but a girl speaking about sex is more likely to win the award than boring old Brian of London speaking about Islam. Pity.

Back on topic, however, Robert Spencer gave us a very good two part interview and you can find it here: part 1 & part 2.

brianoflondon on December 13, 2006 at 10:06 AM

As always when Robert Spencer speaks, we ALL should LISTEN CLOSELY!

“Are you a terrorist? If you check this box you will not necessarily be denied entry into the US”

Good Lord. We. Are. Doomed. *sigh*

Spender is a national treasure. The man is solid.

A standing “O” Michelle & Robert. May it make a difference. May God, The Real One that is, have mercy on America. We need to send “Allah” back where “it” came from…oops, that’s gonna start something. Oh, well. If we need ANOTHER wake up, so be it. Wasn’t there a coffee commercial a few years ago that started “Wake Up America!” and then they pitched their brand? Um, same phrase applies here, only MORE SO. When I was in the Army, back in another lifetime and another century, the Drill Sargents used to wake us up with their skull cracking whistles or, if that didn’t work, a bottle run around the inside ribbing of those big Army issue galvanized trash cans. Man, that was a harsh wake up out of a sound sleep! Hmmmm, America needs that kind of a wake up. As I said on another Vent subject recently, America has lost its “gonads”, or “testicular fortitude”, to put it more PC. We used to have them. Some of us still do. More Americans need to regrow them. SOON. I might add that there are women fighting in our military in the middle east that have more “gonads” than many American men. Nuff said. Wake up America. The threat is real.

Just an excellent interview. RS is so well informed, so articulate, it is critical that his message gets out. Thanks for putting this on the web. HotAir is just amazing, guys.

Excellent work Michelle and Robert. Sunshine is the best disinfectant of that which threatens our liberty, followed by the intestinal fortitude to defend what is our birthright.

MarkB on December 13, 2006 at 11:49 AM

Spectacular Vent Robert Spencer and Michelle! Wow! THIS has got to be the best Vent to date!

Clear thinking, directly addressing the issues, well presented, how much better can it get than this? (Even Brian of London posted with two more links).

Perhaps we will only have to suffer one major disaster before the United States “gets it” and understands the nature of the Islamic Assault - but at this time I still think it is going to take two disasters. Unfortunately I believe that is what it will take for the majority of the electorate to find how wrong, and dangerous, the Left and their ideas of multi-culturalism are.

We should appreciate New York City for the special place that it is, celebrate it’s charms, and gather memorobilia to remember it by. I believe, unfortunately, due almost exclusively to the influence of the Left, this will be one of the casualties.

This book will be featured prominantly on my blog’s *M*Z*N link…along with every other MUST READ for intellectually honest Conservatives.

seejanemom on December 13, 2006 at 1:01 PM

Excellent vent! Thanks!

Earlier “The Truth About Mohammad” was offered via a link on Hot Air. I assume that a purchase through HA would benefit HA. Can that still be done?

roydee43 on December 13, 2006 at 1:32 PM

Thank you for this excellent interview.

Oy… an asterisk.
Got half of it correct, a risk.

Excellent. Excellent. Interview.

Should be required viewing for every American.

infidel4life on December 13, 2006 at 3:44 PM

Every day I read Hot Air and listen to the Vent my IQ goes up a point. A beacon of light in an otherwise dreary news world.

Lawrence on December 13, 2006 at 3:47 PM

Thanks. Good stuff.

I think that one way to fight these people is simply with the consistent application of property rights. I don’t hear anyone saying that the airlines are private property and the airlines can and should be able to refuse service to anyone for any reason. I don’t know anything about the gym episode referred to in the Vent but I would say the same about that. The gym is private property and the owner can and should have full authority over it. They can refuse service to anyone for any reason. Private property is the guarantee of all our other rights. Without property rights there are no rights.

An awesome interview! Bravo, MM.

And you’re a braver man than I, Robert Spencer. We all know that the vengeful, cowardly islamo-fascists have you in their sights for writing & speaking out like you have, so watch your back, mister.

Thank you for writing this book.

locomotivebreath1901 on December 13, 2006 at 5:22 PM

Absolutely fantastic, thank you so much Michelle and Mr. Spencer.

emmaline1138 on December 13, 2006 at 6:11 PM

These two Vents should be a segment on Brit’s Special Report or Mr O’s Factor. These words must be shared to the widest possible audience.

Again, Bravo! Bravo! Encore!

Zorro on December 13, 2006 at 6:48 PM

Kudos to all for this video, well done!

lowandslow on December 13, 2006 at 7:55 PM

Another must read for everybody is Prof John Lewis of
Asland University and his current essay at “objectivestandard.com”.
As he points out, “moderate Islam” is just like “moderate Shinto”. Moderation comes with defeat and with nothing else.

YES! THANK YOU MR. SPENCER, MICHELLE MALKIN AND HOT AIR! Robert Spencer is my hero!

Mr. Spencer remarks that CAIR’s current tactics with regard to the 6 imams is aimed at gaining carte blanche for muhammedans travelling our airlines. The airlines have to recognize that the general public will choose other options for travel if the airlines decide to cave. Recall that the passengers involved with the 6 imam flight cheered/applauded when security removed the imams from the plane. Also recall the reaction of the general public has been overwhelmingly positive yielding a huge vote of confidence in the US Airways. Recall also, when the rumor of a muhammedan boycott of US Air hit the blogs - we welcomed the first muhammedan free airline - which immediately resulted in msm statements clarifying there was no muhammedan boycott.

BTW, I was stunned by Alan Colmes (Hannity and Colmes on FCN) tonight as he clearly stated that the imams actions were totally misrepresented by every witness. What alternate universe is Colmes in? Somebody needs to check his meds.

heroyalwhyness on December 13, 2006 at 10:28 PM

Denial is rampant. The “tests” of American will are often seen by lefties as being civil right actions and are supported as such.

A buddy at work (lefty) started a conversation about the flying imams the day before the police report was released. He was so quick to defend them, believing the hype that they had been removed for praying. As we talked about the event, I stated that it sounded like a setup to me, and that there was obviously more to the story. He replied in an almost excited voice “and they fell for it…” (meaning the airline and law enforcement).

So, as we got to the point where we were admitting that they may have been purposefully “acting like terrorists” to cause a confrontation… he was enthusiastic to the possibility? I was stunned. Even worse is that he is not the only one I know who had that type of reaction to the whole thing. What really is weird about the situation with these people (the lefty friends of mine), is that they are mostly very well grounded otherwise. Normal, hard working and responsible folks. Hard to figure that out…

I tend to chalk it up to “Bush haters syndrome” but that might be too simple.
