YouTube makes littlest moonbat a front-page featured video
posted at 12:38 pm on December 11, 2006 by Allahpundit
I had no idea until I stumbled across this guy’s clip. He’s assuming that YT management is choosing the featured vids based on their own preferences, but I’m not sure that’s true. It may be that they have an algorithm that looks for clips whose number of views is surging and then adds them automatically to the front page. A google search didn’t shed any light.
He seems surprised, though. He shouldn’t be. A screencap follows below.

Seems like a win-win situation to me. O’Reilly has something to be outraged about (and really, what does he love more than being outraged) and the video will get more free publicity.

Oh, how I love my culture.
spmat on December 11, 2006 at 12:54 PM
Did you get my email the other day AP? This (front page stuff) is how I happened to run across the video again the other day, and noticed that they’ve changed the video description. It used to read something like – “coolest 8 year old discusses Bill O’Reilly and religion”
It NOW reads:
The person/music group “bastardfairies” that created/uploaded this vid spent A LOT of time arguing in the comments originally, but has removed virtually all of their own idiotic comments now. HMMMMM…

Bashing conservatives AND Christians! Wow! That’s brave and innovative! Someone should give this girl and her parents an award for such original material in the face of the fascist regime we are under. I mean, with all the other Christian bashers being kidnapped and beheaded for insulting Jesus and all, who WOULDN’T think this was brave and completely original?

He said, “I’m to the left when it comes to free speech.” He must have been living under a rock for the last year. YT has its own version of censorship against conservative users and their video clips and YT has been flagging anti-jihad stuff for months now.
Troy Rasmussen on December 11, 2006 at 1:02 PM
He calls this kid a young lady, and throws out free speech as if it’s some moonbat college student at Columbia, It’s a little girl that is the most clueless little mind on earth, with the brain of Paris Hilton morphed with the brain of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. It’s all twiested, and morons made this sick jid a star by putting this crap up on websites. I know it’s been discussed and the parents seem to be able to get away with this, hiding behind free speech, but it’s clearly child abuse.

Once again, this is a marketing ploy for a rock group. Nothing more. Nothing less.

I suspect I won’t be buying any of this band’s records. IMO, rock music died in 1996.

YouTube employs several people at their Silicon Valley offices with the title of “Editor/Programmer” who “have the patience and desire to find ‘video gold’ — the most creative, interesting, and humorous videos out there”
Editor/Programmers at YouTube are, on average, hired because they are fresh out of college in the Bay Area with a “progressive” mindset, know that the new revolution will be digitally broadcast to every Internet capable device around the world, and think that materialism is overrated–in other words, a cheap hire.
YouTube is currently looking for more Editor/Programmers for their quickly-growing company. I’m sure I’ll get attacked for saying this, but Republicans need to stop whining about how liberals control the popular media and start taking an active role in pop culture and media.
Are there any HotAir.com viewers willing to send in their résumés or know someone that could get hired at YouTube and quite literally change the face of YouTube’s Featured page?
ScottMcC on December 11, 2006 at 1:47 PM
Doesn’t change the fact that it’s horsesh*t. I really do hope it hurts sales, but I very much doubt it.

Weak.

If this isn’t child pornography, I don’t know what is. This is not freedom of speech, it is the lowest form of mental/spiritual abuse. Everyone connected with this video should be prosecuted, political correctness be damned!
stonemeister on December 11, 2006 at 2:05 PM
Yes, I can see how it is much better to teach your kids to be hateful brats than to love Jesus. Whoops! I did not mean to offend anyone with the “J” word.
jman on December 11, 2006 at 2:09 PM
Great video. Very representative of this type of moonbat thinking. Someone gave a young blank slate mind some words and she dutifully regurgitated it for the camera, while having no idea what she’s saying.
Dont go hating on the kid though, she’s clueless in all this I’m sure.
Dash on December 11, 2006 at 2:21 PM
I feel really sorry for her. With parents like hers, she doesn’t stand a chance.

The top video on the front page of YouTube as of 2:40pm has less than 300 views.
Some talented kids you are not likely to see on the front page of YouTube.

I’m intrigued by her views and would like to subscribe to her newsletter.

You’re right. He shouldn’t be surprised.
Ugh tube is predominantly a moonbat cesspool that thrives on this type of cranial diarrhea.

Sales? You can download their ‘music’ from their website for free. It’s a bunch of faux anti-corporate, anti-mainstream, ‘look-at-me-I’m-so-tolerate’ crap anyway. These bands are a dime a dozen these days. They think they are breaking the mold but they are all just cookie cutter versions of each other. Not to mention that it’s served up in the most ‘sex-sells’ corporate way by their scantily clad lead singer. I can’t figure out what she’s more proud of: her music, or her ta-tas?

Both her and the “Nazi Twins” are victims of child abuse. I think it’s very sad.

It’s almost mathematical how the attacks roll in when I point out the obvious in these HotAir comments… I can count on it the same way drunks shout “Freebird” at a rock concert or Rosie O’Donnell says something frickin’ stupid.
As Republicans we need to stop our collective whining about “those darn kids” with their YouTubes and Comedy Central liberal pop cultureness and start rolling our own.
Well, okay… Not literally “rolling our own” because then we’d just be idiot Libertarians.

Michelle Malkin’s complaint video is no longer available.
Did YouTube remove that, too?
My guess is YouTube is run by a group of reefer smokin’ jackasses or maybe it is a conspiracy involving NOW.

Does anyone understand what this kid is saying? I would like to find a point somewhere. Incoherent rambling…
Wade on December 11, 2006 at 4:56 PM
Notice how “Wade” purposely left out the call to arms statement of my comment so he can make yet another attack.
Us darn kids and our incoherent rambling don’t have to lie to make our points, grandpa.

I could not agree more, this is the worst example of rancour, propaganda, hate, prejudice and manipulation of a child I remember seeing, who is just reading a script or been feed the info. I doubt she grasps the impact of her words.
Republicans = KKK or Hitler, ridiculous, outrageous, disgusting and should be universally condemned.
Like the video editorial I’m independant. I accuse the republicans of using this tactic against Dems (like Dems want the terrorist to win) but is just as repungnant the other way around. I am a U-Tube member and will write and mark the video as offensive.
Of course the anti religious hate is also offensive. It is ugly and turns my stomach.

I wasn’t able to watch the little moonbat’s rant earlier, but I just watched it and……….. wow.
Even most intelligent atheists argue there is something to be gained from learning about religions in general, at least something better (for a child at least) than what you’d get while watching Family Guy.
I agree and say this often. It’s the main reason I’ve stopped watching The Simpsons and Family Guy (I can take a joke, but the one-sided jokes just aren’t funny anymore). But it seems a complaint like that is either preaching to the choir, or falling on deaf ears.
Esthier on December 11, 2006 at 9:45 PM
ScottMcC has a solid point. We conservatives are so busy attacking all the “woe-are-us-victims” groups on the Left that we don’t see how susceptible we ourselves are to the same victim-hood thinking. Look at us: Victims of the MSM, victims of PC speech codes on university campuses, victims of violence on those same campuses, etc., etc…
Not to say that the complaints aren’t justified, but the mindset is just as self-destructive as it is on the Left, and we need at least to be aware of it, and do something about these problems instead of just complaining.
I for one haven’t a clue as to how we can turn around the MSM and UTube and Academia, but that doesn’t mean someone else doesn’t.
On another note, has anyone noticed any similarities between the little girl in question and the Palestinian children brainwashed to throw their lives away murdering Jews?
Lancer on December 11, 2006 at 11:47 PM
The guy says he’s “to the left” when it comes to free speech. Does that mean he tries to stifle it when ever he can and throws pies at people who say things he disagrees with?
By the way, I think it occurred to the lefties that they would have to allow all speech they disagree with to be on youtube if children are used disseminate it. That would go for any rational speech that would oppose their leftist agenda as well as any far right KKK speech they wouldn’t want to give a forum to. This is why they needed to change the premise of the rant with their “official statement”.
Ironically, they even felt the need to insist that the thing was made by “award winning” directors which is supposed to give license to it. Even though youtube was created to be a place where non-award-winning-directors can express themselves, if I were to attempt such a production, the fact that I’m not an award winning director would be used as an excuse as to why my film is less legitimate and could therefore be banned.

My other comments on this I think are much more important to the topic, but I have to ask – Am I the only one who thinks that’s a little boy in a wig? I’m not trying to attack the looks of a little kid, but for some reason that kid just strikes me as a little boy, no?
