I’m thinkin’ we need to finish up with Iraq before we do Iran.

WADR Tony, but Iraq is Iran. By that I mean that the war we are currently fighting in Iraq is against Iran. They're funding, they're training, they're fighting, they're arming, etc. It's all them. I think we need to make it expensive for Iran to do business at all. Their oil is their wealth and therefore their power. We should hit their fields and (if they have any) their refineries. The time it would take for their economy to completely collapse would be measured in weeks.

I’m thinkin’ we need to finish up with Iraq before we do Iran. Ahmajamadingdong knows this and that’s why he wants to keep the war in Iraq. Once we’re done there and the Iraqi Army takes over the fight in their country I predict we’ll invade Iran from Iraq and Afghanistan. (Well, maybe we would’ve if the dhimmis didn’t win the midterms). Hit Syria from Iraq at the same time. It has to be done. Sorry all you pussifists out there, but it’s either them or us. Pick one. There’s talkin’ to ‘em.

Funny you mentioned Patton; it changed with Patton (not having the BALLS to win a war) when he asked Ike to let him kick the Russians out of Germany, back to Russia at the end of WWII. They called him “MAD” and relieved him of the 3rd Army. Next, McCarthur had a plan to stop the Commie Red Chinese to stop over running North Korea (plan included small nukes). Truman relieved McCarthur.
Then came Viet Nam.
Now, Iraq.

Struck me that he said: “The very notion of losing is hateful to Americans.”

When did that change?

I think if we wanted to win this war, we would refuse any suggestion to talk with Iran, and send a decisive message about thier weapons being sent into Iraq. It already is a regional war. Why don’t we admit it, and engage them?

If Bush really wanted to end this war … he would have done it already. It’s really not that tough. You take the weapons away from the bad guys … and the fighting stops. With the technology we have at our disposal … the only logical reason we have not disarmed the Iraqis is that we DON’T WANT TO.

Terrorism is only effective in the court of Pubic Opinion, in that the attacks have little military impact. However when the military responds, the terrorist can use that response to clam excessive use of force, as in Lebanon this summer (with the UN’s help of course). So restraint has a strategic place in this conflict; however there is a time when little else can be done and force is the only option. We have to go for the source to make this as painless as possible. We now see what happens when you give the bad guys a break i.e. Moktada al-Sadr. The PC police stopped us in 2003 when we went after him (and in Fallujah) and now they are to loudest voices saying that it is too late to stop him, they say we must talk with him… NEWS FLASH we did, it didn’t work. We had to go back and finish in Fallujah and now we have to finish the Mahdi Army. The longer we wait to do something the worse it’s going to be! These PC police are the same people who say we must talk to Iran, Syria, and Hamas.
And say what? Please don’t hurt us? Please keep selling us oil? Please don’t make us convert?
