…every time I see a plane flying over, I seem capable of resisting the urge to run and get my RPK and letting fly with a few rounds/dozen rounds/belts of 7.62mm party favors…even when they’re flying low over my village. That’s because I’d sort of like to retain my standing as an innocent civilian.

On the other hand, if this was a bird-strike, and the pilot was laying inert nearby, I’d offer these “innocents” the advice that filming the tragedy and showing regionally-recognized disrespect for the pilot, his aircraft and his country *ALSO* tends to make one look *LESS* like an innocent civilian, and *MORE* like a “player”.

So, the “innocent civilans who want the violence to stop” line wore thin on its first outing. If you want the violence to stop, you stop doing things and stop appearing like a guy capable of doing things which might tend to make others think that you’re not that interested in the violence stopping.

It’s hard over there to tell the players from the spectators. Thanks to the seditious activist press, our fighting men and women are constrained to make every effort to do so, however. This film, at least, identifies a few players, living evidently in a village of players. That simplifies things, at least.

They also run like rabbits at the sound of approaching US warplanes.
