This last election may the the best thing for the country. It gave Democrats the stage and the opportunity to show the world how clueless and irrelevant they are.

Funny–I started college as a lefty, graduated near a righty. There’s a certain (if anecdotal) conservative backlash going on with the Gen Xers. The profs may try to indoctrinate, but it seems to have the opposite effect. Also probably has something to do with minorities getting a lot of preferential treatment.

At least he’s an equal opportunity offender. Maybe this is his way of apologizing to the troops — by insulting the people most likely to agree with him that the military isn’t “a decent career.”

I see this differently. He thinks he’s insulting the over-priveleged, who are the ones he wants drafted. The libs and even these college kids are unaware that they are virtually all extreme lefties. They all think that they need to become liberal activists to prove how much they hate their family’s money (at least until they graduate and go back home).

Now I wish Rangel had acknowledged that these kids are almost all libs (certainly anyone listening to him), asked these idiots about what was going on in Iraq, and then asked younger conservative Americans and compared the two. It’s not because they’re in college that they don’t know what’s going on, it’s partly because of the liberal indoctrination done at colleges, but mainly because of the liberalism that builds from the first year.

The military should be made up of people who are capable, competent, Patriotic America loving warriors, technicians and support folks who WANT to serve their country.
