The UN just want to make billions of dollars trading carbon dioxide shares. That will be there way of implementing a global tax if we are all dumb enough to go along with it. The UN has been trying to implement a global tax since it’s inception, and this would be the perfect way for them to do it. Ostensibly attempting to fix a problem that does not exist, and making billions in the process.

You forgot to add the warming of the earth the past 15 years…wait, just checked the facts it hasn’t been warming.

Wait till the NSA hears about this, the union will not be happy. Next time leave the science to the humanities, they know what is best for us.

Apparently, they had all forgotten the unseasonably cold (and wet) winter that we had the year before.

I think global warming must have fried their brains.

Seriously. I was laughing all the way through it.

My favorite part is Al Gore, standing on the bank of a river that runs by his family property in Tennessee. He looks at the river, and all you hear is the sound of running water. The his voice over. “The river’s changing. I can feel the changes.”

Then he goes off to some conference in China. No proof on the river. Nothing. Just a “feeling it’s changing”.

Every time someone brings up global warming, ask them what’s causing global warming on Mars.

That’s easy – we are (more specifically, Bush). We have polluted the galaxy. Also, don’t forget that Haliburton set up a factory in Mars a couple of years ago – those weren’t just “exploratory” missions – please, we have to set up giant corporations everywhere. Why do you think Pluto was downsized to “dwarf” planet? We can’t set up shop there (as we would like – it’s too small).

Never mind that the 3 to 4 degrees F that man is supposed to be responsible for is supposed to have occurred over a one hundred year period. Any increase in the past five to ten years would have to be infinitely small and well within any margin of error.

… and never mind the fact that the temp readings are taken inside cities… with alot of heat retaining materials. It’s not global warming, it’s asphalt.

Every time.

Until they can answer that, there is no reason to discuss anything else with them.

As for the scientific case for global warming, well, let’s just say that in my old job I sat in on a couple of meetings with a high-ranking NASA earth scientist, and his biggest complaint was that his public affairs people were jamming global warming scares into science reports where global warming wasn’t even a factor.

Almost every week I see this. Everyone is a climatologist these days. Are you studying frogs in the amazon and find that you’ve counted less of them than the last guy? Blame global warming. This happens almost every week. The best way for an academic in some obscure field to get some attention is to tag their study with GW. I’m sure a GW tag also helps with getting funding. Scientist: I’d like to study the molting habits of tree lizards in Borneo (should be a fun trip). Funding source: Sorry, can’t help you. Scientist: I suspect that GW has affected their sex drive and molting habits. Funding source: how much do you need.

Invariably the study comes out with a conclusion linking “whatever” to GW, despite the “scientist having zero meterology or climate studies knowledge. Never mind that the 3 to 4 degrees F that man is supposed to be responsible for is supposed to have occured over a one hundred year period. Any increase in the past five to ten years would have to be infinitely small and well within any margin of error.(BTW, the 100 year temp increase is also well within the margin of error, but never mind that inconveinent detail.) I’ve yet to see one science reporter take one of these studies with a critical eye. Or point out that this is just one study and point out other contradictory studies. For example, there are more stuidies that show polar bear populations growing and ice sheets in antarctical growing, but you’ll never hear those mentioned. Science reporters don’t take the effort to understand what they report and are complicit in furthering the GW hesteria.

Brain washing is all they have on this issue. Good for the NSTA, no matter their motivation.

If Gore’s eyes are that good, perhaps we should lend him to UK to look for that guy’s cervix?
