Poor John:

Democratic Sen. John Kerry, mulling a second bid for the U.S. presidency, finished dead last in a poll released on Monday on the likability of 20 top American political figures.

***

“Americans know who he is, and have pretty much decided they don’t like him,” said Brown. He noted the poll found that 95 percent of respondents said they had heard enough about Kerry, who lost the 2004 White House race to President Bush, to rate the Massachusetts Democrat.

It’s okay though, he can always rely on Massachusetts voters to re-elect him to several more Senate terms.

He can rely on them too :) No thanks necessary. I’m the spelling cop!

I’m not surprised he finished at the bottom. Why would anyone want him to run again? Lose once and you’re out; isn’t that the rules of this game?

Swiftboated.

another one bites the dust!

Shocking I tell you, just shocking! I’m sure there must be some hanging chads or something wrong with the count. I mean there has to be. Just think how poor Therrrazziah must feel knowing she not only married a shithead but one that comes in last on the list! Oh the humanity! Yes, we can all rest assured the the fine people of Massachusetts will absolutely re-elect him to the Senate, many, many times.

NEMETI IN SYRACUSE on November 27, 2006 at 8:33 PM

Hey, I know! How about a Kerry/Rangel ticket! Yeah, that’ll work.

bdfaith on November 27, 2006 at 8:35 PM

I heard that he actually finished first before he finished last.

JadeNYU on November 27, 2006 at 8:39 PM

Hey! What do you know! This time it really is Bush’s fault (since everyone got to know Kerry during the last election).

rmgraha on November 27, 2006 at 9:01 PM

I would like them to expand the number on the list until he isn’t dead last.

It would be into the hundreds.

Rosetta on November 27, 2006 at 9:02 PM

Kerry just announced on his blog that everyone polled is really stupid, but he didn’t mean to insult anyone.

Man… that Republican Attack Machine is tough…

Ferris on November 27, 2006 at 9:08 PM

Is that the Black Power salute he’s giving in the photo?

JammieWearingFool on November 27, 2006 at 9:10 PM

Don’t rub it in Ian! We need him to the the Dem choice.

Kevin M on November 27, 2006 at 9:16 PM

Nixon is the only one I can think of that running a second time paid off for him.

Maxx on November 27, 2006 at 9:22 PM

But if Jon Carry doesn’t run I will be disappointed, that would mean no Swiftboat ads, and they were the highlight of the 2004 election cycle.

Maxx on November 27, 2006 at 9:30 PM

They really need to send this bum home to the ketchup lady and tell her to find him something menial and unobtrusive to do.

rplat on November 27, 2006 at 9:40 PM

Dammit Jade! Ya beat me to it! I’ll hafta go with this one instead…

If you don’t studt hard and get a good education, you end up dead last in the polls.

Halp us Jon Carry!

Bummer. lol

I question the timing.

I’m not down with conservative glee at Kerry’s troubles. I want him to run in ‘08. I need him to run in ‘08. It keeps me going. I’m still holding out for Dean, too.

Alex K on November 27, 2006 at 10:01 PM

Didn’t Kerry start at the back of the pack in ‘04 and
caught wind after Dean made his famous scream ? ?

Texyank on November 27, 2006 at 10:12 PM

Better get out the oversized hunting clothes, play some runway football, report for duty, and paint yourself orange again John, it’s going to be an uphill battle.

RightWinged on November 27, 2006 at 10:13 PM

I told you guys, Rove has a plan

Ropera on November 27, 2006 at 10:19 PM

I’m disappointed. I was looking forward to Candleface season. Oh well, another buffoon of equal value will surely be nominated.

America doesn’t like Kerry; Kerry and Mass like each other . . . therefore . . . we should sell Mass to Quebec.

I saw the US against John Lenon movie last night. Abbey Hoffman raised his clenched fist just like John K. He disgusts me with that move. A friggin Senator of the USA, yeah right on John.

sonnyspats1 on November 27, 2006 at 11:48 PM

“Can I get me a new image, heah?

Jaibones on November 27, 2006 at 11:59 PM

This is hard to believe - 2 weeks ago Kerry told Chris Wallace that he still has a great deal of support….. Just when I thought that I could trust the idiot! Must be a right wing conspiracy…
I bet the Dems are burning the midnight oil trying to figure out how to Rove Rudy.

iam7545 on November 28, 2006 at 12:13 AM

A legend in his own mind.

Kini on November 28, 2006 at 3:50 AM

If you think polls like this will stop Kerry, you’ve got another think coming. He’s way too thick to let this bother him.

Kevin R on November 28, 2006 at 9:51 AM

JammieWearingFool on November 27, 2006 at 9:10 PM

Perhaps he’s hoping to follow in Slick Willie’s footsteps?

Stefka on November 28, 2006 at 10:40 AM

I wonder where he finished in the pole taken of servicemen and women.
