Conservatives who haven’t served are prohibited by Democratic Party/Liberal edict from being allowed to support victory in the war of terrorism. “Chickenhawks” are not allowed to exercise their right of free speech, say most liberal/Democrats.

Liberals and Democrats like Rangel and Murtha who servered are taken as the only source of information and wisdom and considered the “lore masters,” and are the only ones allowed to comment.

Even if they are (1) crooks and undicted conspirators with NO personal honor of their own, or (2) political operatives whose agenda INCLUDES deliberately weakening the armed forces of the United States.

When a particularly stupid liberal plays the “chickenhawk” card in my presence, it is enough to recall that Benedict Arnold was not only a “veteran,” by one decorated for personal bravery in battle — but nobody OTHER than traitors has any interest on what Arnold’s opinion of the war would be.

Because for all his military valor, like today’s libeals and the Brownshirts running today’s Democratic Party, Arnold betrayed his country.

People need to remember WHO in this country works for victory in the war on terror and WHO works for the enemy.

Viva Rangel!!!

The point of an apology is for the one apologizing to regret his offending utterance. He’s a smug, self-assured traitor, firmly in with his constituency and his party, with enough of *BOTH* behind him that he need never regret anything he might say.

The point of a forced apology — apologizing to avert outrage — is to humble the speaker, which is clearly out of the realm of possibilty of this vestige of the worst of the ’60’s.

It’s time for his opposition, the conservatives of this country, to coalesce and *FIGHT* this bozo. Fight tooth and nail against his receiving any chairmanship, don’t let him play that tattered, old race card, and make him suffer politically for his words. Make an example of him if at all possible.

It’s beyond time for the gloves to come off. Civility has been out the window since Florida 2000. The Party of Treason fantasizes about assasinating a sitting president, slanders our servicemen and servicewomen, outrage every decent citizen, and aren’t ever held accountable.

We know that a great percentage of our soldier come from middle class families in Red States – Rangel probably just meant that if these youngsters had a chance for a good life somewhere that wasn’t Red (or away from their Pub families), they wouldn’t have joined the armed forces. Anywhere around Pubs is the same as no opportunities as far as he is concerned.

And for those that really are poor and uneducated – if those youngsters actually had a chance for a good life where they could get jobs and good wages instead of competing with illegal aliens (who Rangel supports) then they might not have joined the armed forces, either.

(And I just figured the whole “draft” argument!!! Draft everyone so that there can be an endless market for dead-end illegal alien entry-level jobs!) RAT-think – sometimes I am way behind….

It doesn’t matter if someone served or not. Just because Rangel fought in Korea doesn’t mean he died for our sins. I’m not against criticism of the military, but blanket statements like his, especially untrue blanket statements, should be apologized for.

What if someone were to say, because 11 female teachers were convicted of child molestation, that education seems to attract the sexually perverse. I’m sure that even if the person that made the statement used to be a teacher they would still be hit over the head by public opinion.

Well, JasonG, you’ll have to cut the Republicans some slack. Every time they stick up for men in uniform, the media make sure to give ample airplay to Dems who 1) make note of the dearth of Republican congressmen who have worn the uniform and 2) feign outrage over the questioning of their patriotism.
