Her sin? She wanted to reduce the legal term from 24 weeks to 21.
“My staff have been told they will burn in hell, my home has been besieged by anonymous telephone calls, extremist groups have sent out inflammatory messages to their members,” said Conservative MP Nadine Dorries of Mid Bedfordshire. “It got so bad that we had to alert House of Commons security and my constituency police.”
The bill failed, 108-187.
Does anyone know if “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” is broadcast in the UK? I’m looking to unfairly tarnish a popular commentator with culpability for extremists in their audience and he’d fit the bill nicely.
Update: YouTube’s available in the UK. Ergo…

if you are looking to tarnish a “popular commentator” why did Olbermann come up? I don’t think I’ve heard Olbermann and popular in the same sentence before. Weird.

Calling all wackos!
Welcome to the Age of Brinksmanship.
No compromise. Compromise is weakness. Discussion which may lead to compromise is heresy. Heresy is punishable by death without due process.
Keep your ideology pure, your beheadin’ knife sharp…and your powder dry!
…now, let’s have the wackos on the *OTHER* end of the spectrum chime in, and we can pound another nail into the lid of democracy’s coffin….

…does this make Dorries a TINO? Just to be on the safe side, she might want to steer clear of those Sushi joints, huh?

Politics in action. “I believe in love, peace, and friendship, and will kill anyone that disagrees…”

I don’t think you want to use the word “abortion” and “red meat” on a wedding invitation, George.

Is this the kind of uncovered red meat that Muslim clerics warn about?

Alright Allah. I’ll take the red meat. This quote was interesting:
In particular, the words fetal sentience. How, exactly, is this determined? And if it can be scientifically determined that fetuses have a sense of consciousness, does this mean it’s a person - egad! - instead of a mass of cells? That really blows a huge hole in the abortion argument. Sadly, instead of debate, let’s kill Mrs. Dorries for brining science into the constitutional right *cough* to have abortion on demand.

Looks like a T-bone. Rub in some seasoning and slap it on the grill. Medium rare, please.
